but the guy manning the spotlight has no idea what to do. most of the time the light was on Tim and makes it feel like a show of 'Tim Henson & friends'
@@napeenasir that's what i was thinking. really gotta talk to the lighting guys about when to do what cuz "spotlight on tim for the whole show and then go dim when he's not on spotlight" is...meh
Yeaaa. I came here from a video from 2019 and it was insane to me how sloppy they were live. If your whole thing is technical playing you gotta back it up. This is a big improvement.
I don’t have video of Tim handing you the pick. But my friend was also taking video during the show. I will check with him. How do I know this is really “sign guy”? Hehe!
@@EvanGrasso_ Because my sign actually said "I'd shit a brick if I got thew6rst's pick" and had a picture of shit, a brick, and a pick on it. I was wearing a pink shirt. But yeah if your friend has it, I would really like to get my hands of a video of it happening. Like you said in your description, it was a once in a lifetime thing
You are Sign Guy! Confirmed! Man, I wish I had that video for you. There is still hope with my friend’s phone. Oh, and you didn’t stay for DGD. I am the 13 year old kid that joined in line right behind you. Glad I got in…!
When he said let me hear your voices if you know this song, I assumed he meant sing along if you know the words. Then they played an instrumental piece.
@@EvanGrasso_ I wasn't at this show so I can't say for sure, but I've noticed that sometimes if I'm close to the stage and further on one side rather than centered, sometimes I'll hear too much of one guitarist and not enough of the other. It's honestly a more common problem than I would expect for modern concerts.
It's because he's right in front of the right speaker. There isn't much they can do about that while preserving some semblance of stereo separation. I just saw them and was hearing Scott way louder than Tim because I was on the left side, I eventually made my way over to the mixer and obviously it was perfect there.
@@becauseiey sound guys do this on purpose. Gives it more of a stereo effect. When you walk to one side you hear more of the guitar on that side. If you listen to professional live recordings on TH-cam with headphones on, they mix it the same way.
What is amazing for me when any of them playing the g.o.a.t, they don't even look on the fret. Just sometimes. I'll try so hard to play tim's section but its too hard right now. They are great musicians and Tim is a genius. But… I just can’t get into it. Kinda like prog rock, I know that Yes and ELP were amazing but, for me they were very hard to get into. Oh well. Rock on doing what you do Polyphia.

Tim is the only one who really cares about the attention
What do you expect when Tim is the reason they’re a pretty popular band?
who woulda thunk that playing sober makes them way cooler lmao
They really do sound much tighter!! Tim's playing is better overall too I think. Whole band was on point at this show.
Sober is always cooler and more functional bro.

His bass line in Nightmare has to be my favorite...the tone is just, no words really

Did they play Nightmare or LBDT?
