I'm almost 70, a lifelong music nut (ex drummer) and have been blown away from the first moment I heard Polyphia. This is music as it's meant to be, engaging, emotional, fearless, performed by a band who are technically masterful, totally at ease with each other and who achieve that accolade of sounding as good, if not better, on a live stage as they do in their videos and studio tracks. Phenomenal performance, I'm immensely envious of the people in the audience who got to see this live.

This video is a tight slap on those people who said "Polyphia doesn't sound nice in live setup, they are only good at recording." This video proves that they can pull off each and every song perfectly like the studio recording.
I love the band but it is fair to say they didn't use to sound this good live which is where comments like that used to come from. Recently they have improved a LOT. NLND era shows were kinda hit or miss but now they're nailing every show.
um so you people have never seen a live band then eh. This isnt just "ok" or "good"..maybe 1 out of 100 bands play close to this well live. Most are literally Bad..including vands like VH, metallica etc.

Guys, I have been playing guirar for 19 years. Trust me when I tell you, that we are experiencing right now, the moment that guitar is changing as an instrument on its known. These guys are re-inventing the instrument like Van Halen and Malmsteen.
Saw you guys in Köln and it was amazing The sound mix was awesome. Felt the bass rumbling in my chest. The drums were LIT AF and I was fortunate enough to occasionally meet Clay Aeschliman as he was on a break at the backstage door. Nice guy and amazing drummer. Well, actually, they record all the tracks during the show, afterwards the entire show is mixed and added to the filmed material. But yes, the entire engineering deserve a raise :)

First time viewer. Going silent now for a month. In reverence. Thank you Polyphia for giving the world a new color to delight within. And all the unseen chords that dwell in that new realm. ... and thx to Rick Beato. Like hearing Nirvana that very first time. Been a long, long 'while ;-)

May the tunes keep you strong for many years. Life is beautiful, go get it 💪🏼
This video is a tight slap on those people who said "Polyphia doesn't sound nice in live setup, they are only good at recording." This video proves that they can pull off each and every song perfectly like the studio recording.
it only took them 10 years
@@joe-dl6eplmfao 😂
I love the band but it is fair to say they didn't use to sound this good live which is where comments like that used to come from. Recently they have improved a LOT. NLND era shows were kinda hit or miss but now they're nailing every show.
@@SilverwingedBat no, it was just that the videos were recorded from phone, not a like a professional Video like this with good mixing, that's why
um so you people have never seen a live band then eh. This isnt just "ok" or "good"..maybe 1 out of 100 bands play close to this well live. Most are literally Bad..including vands like VH, metallica etc.
I saw this live! Can’t believe we’re getting the full recording 🤩🤩
Only Polyphia could get a bunch of metal heads hyped over Acoustic guitar. People underestimate how heavy Flamenco as it is.
One of the best live shows I've ever seen, my hair stood out like spikes. My most sincere congratulations. GREAT JOB
If Polyphia ever comes to New Zealand I am 100% going no matter what, their live performances are phenomenal
Wow, this recording and mix are fantastic. What a great way to relive the show!
在这里看到了人生中第一场polyphia的演出!真的是太好听了!!!
哈哈哈哈同一场!
睡前看到 直接聽通宵!
羡慕!!!
I was fortunate enough to both watch and meet Americas Band, let me just say, they did not disappoint and never will! Scottie for President!
I saw Polyphia and couldn't evade listening!
Now soothing music, after a bad journey...Thanks a lot, guys!
These boys have an absolute banger of a future ahead.
I can already tell that in 15-20 (?) years, we will look back and remember them as fondly as the big 5.
Egos in check. Don't effin breakup.
Not my cup of tea but these guys are insanely talented, and I kinda dig it live. Would love to catch a show.
ほんっと完璧😍痺れる!好き!😍😍
They finally got their live sound mix perfect! Sound guy deserves a promotion
I’m a 55 year old guitarist and I just got turned on to this group and I love it!
Guys, I have been playing guirar for 19 years. Trust me when I tell you, that we are experiencing right now, the moment that guitar is changing as an instrument on its known. These guys are re-inventing the instrument like Van Halen and Malmsteen.
Nah they are not. Their new stuff is just cheesy hiphop pop .. boring. Muse was great tho
@@LordOfSwedenguy comes to a polyphia video to have bad takes about polyphia...it's almost admirable....almost.
@@ObnoxiousNinja99 Their new stuff is bboring pop and hiphop
Production and the cameras on this looks amazing!! 😁😁
Saw you guys in Köln and it was amazing
The sound mix was awesome. Felt the bass rumbling in my chest.
The drums were LIT AF and I was fortunate enough to occasionally meet Clay Aeschliman as he was on a break at the backstage door. Nice guy and amazing drummer.
Tim didn't say a word, but shredded all the way throughout the concert and Scott was an amazing guitarist cheering up with the audience
Amazing
I can't wait for the next time you guys come back again! 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Well, actually, they record all the tracks during the show, afterwards the entire show is mixed and added to the filmed material. But yes, the entire engineering deserve a raise :)
One of the best live concerts in the history of rock. Simply perfect!
Holy fuck the recording is so crisp. Incredible work
Tightest live performance. Such clinical musicianship.
Whoever mixed this performance is insane 🔥❤️
Sounds terrible. Im starting to think Polyphia fans are deaf 😂 Its completely flat, drums sounds over EQ’d. The backing tracks just bleed together with the low end and hi hats lol Its horrible.
@@FanaticDrummer wow you are obsessed lmao get a life, let people like what they want.
@@FanaticDrummer Sure man but no need to say it in a mean way u gotta chill. Idk why u get that mad over a decent mix
@@FanaticDrummer funny how you criticize the mix with an empty channel and no public musical project 🤣
@@FanaticDrummer Pro tip: Get better headphones.
Was blessed to be at this concert. One of the best nights of my life. Love these guys.
the quality of this s so ridiculously great... absolutely fantastic. would love to watch live one day.
First time viewer.
Going silent now for a month. In reverence. Thank you Polyphia for giving the world
a new color to delight within. And all the unseen chords that dwell in that new realm.
... and thx to Rick Beato. Like hearing Nirvana that very first time. Been a long, long 'while ;-)
when scotty and timmy went back to back at the end of "the worst" .... super sick iconic moment. i started smiling, then laughing.. then thinking about how important you 2 are in the guitar/music community right now and in the future. not sure what im trying to say really.. it just put me in my feels and shit. Dope.
This is so inspiring... I'm using all my inner strength to fight leaving work to go practice guitar at home!
They’re so ridiculously good.
I would have gladly paid for this recording. Thanks for this gift.
OD live sounds unreal 😳 I can't believe they played it so well ❤
Some of the best lyrics in recent memory. Really keeps me thinking
You’re the band I have waited for all my life!!! 🤘🏻
After years of following these guys, I still can never quite believe what I'm watching. The skill on display here is incredible, an unbelievable performance. Thanks so much to the band for recording and posting this
They dont need a vocal as a band. Here the instruments/artists do all the vocals possible and impossible!!! Incredible band!!!
To watch Clay Gober do his crazy part in O.D. live at 8:12 is something out of this world. What a performance
def my fav polyphia song as a drummer. Percussion on O.D goes crazzyyyy
Polyphia is not only the biggest, but the best metal band in the world.
Best? Agree to disagree since its subjective. But *biggest*? Not by a long shot.
@@matty4351it’s an ongoing joke within the band.
@@matty4351its not a metal band that's thé joke x)
@@matty4351 if you argue about this not understanding that they are not a metal band, my man you are long ways to go lmao xDD
@@gabriellama8851 they seem pretty damn metal to me, i don't know what the rest of you are on about
Ive seen at least 300+ artists live, and your show in Des Moines is top 3 best live performances ive ever seen. Keep on rocking 🤙
It´s amazing to see how much better they have become with their live performances
Agree, scene has a natural curve and, as expected, they coming in hot
It def helps they don't seem to be partying quite as hard preshow! I've seen them a dozen times now, and a few of those shows didn't hit like I knew they could have, having seen them play perfection like this video. Stoked the boys seem to have their shit together and are SLAYING.
@@TaalianLIVE yeah didnt scott used to be drunk during some of their live shows in the past?
@@AnEpicFatalityArchives Not just Scott lol... legit all the boys were drinking heavily before most shows from what I could tell, so it's nice to see them recognize their potentials and just SLAY.
This is the best video of anything live that I've ever seen. Sounds like everything off their albums. Edited or not, shit is great. Sound quality is insane. Almost like I was there.
24 min mark. is just another reason i love this band. immediately sent back to late 90s summer. when things were easier. and alot less stressful.
