Great interview! My favorite Thrash band. They were all damn good in the 80's, but Anthrax was just a bit different. They had a unique energy. I still jam this stuff to this day!
Anthrax was- and still is, a band that broke so many barriers. Think about it. A beyond proficient bunch of guys playing whatever they wanted with a singer that sang in the vein of Steve Perry from Journey. So many bands owe this band much because without Anthrax, possibly they would never have existed. Dan is an incredible player. Got to see him live back in the day twice. They were laser sharp and focused. Not a note out of place!
Among the Living Anthrax 3rd release 1987 was the year that I bought that cassette album. To me, that was their magnum opus breakthrough sound. It shows Thrash metal sound can be refined as something, welll crafted lyrically and listening audio experience
Not! I'm the Man is a one of a kind song that crossed so many genres. It broke molds and barriers. What a great way to revisit the music we grew up on.
Great interview , always loved Dan Spitz , awesome guitarist . He is so intelligent 🤓 amazing guy , one of a kind .

I played guitar in death metal bands and now I'm a watch guy. Life is strange.
Wow! Super interesting, actually. Who'd have thunk it?
