Rear indicator issue with Jaguar XFs 2012 facelift model

since this video the rear left indicator light isn't even working and the right one is not in sync with the front lights. I was preparing myself for buying two new light units or maybe from a scrap yard, however I've been advised that this is more likely a woring issue and I may just have to gove the wiring a clean and all should be ok. anyone else had this issue?
fingers crossed I won't need new units 🤞🏽
