What is your motorcycle of choice for the commute?

Good points! Regarding commuting bikes, I would add the BMW RS 1250 because it is versatile, good gas mileage, safety features and shaft drive which is low maintenance.

$30 a day vs $5 a day for parking. If I sign up for a monthly contract, the difference is probably closer to $20 a day. Since I don’t have to go in everyday, it’s a no brainer. Motorcycle almost every time.

Hey ghost great video, I understand you have traffic where you live but it doest rival NYC traffic where I'm at and my weapon of choice is my 2020 Honda NC-750x Manual transmission, it is IMO the very best best commuter machine and is a very good long distance machine with the correct mods which aren't expensive. This thing will cruise at 80mph all day long and not complain or stress and is affordable if you can even get it in a manual these days.

Yeah I think they only have the DCT version in the US now. I love the shifting, but man I would really appreciate the DCT in stop and go traffic. Some days when it's bad my left hand is hurting lol. I really like that NC though! I get NYC, or even LA, may have more traffic, but here we got the crazies!!! Thanks for stopping by my wee little channel!! 😀

Awesome, glad to hear it was helpful. Of course there's always tons more tips and things to do when it comes to motorcycling, but when you think of riding to work everyday some people don't think that it's not going to be perfect weather every time! When you start commuting more, come back and leave your tips here as well. Thanks for checking out the video!

The only other thing I would add is.. if you are slowing down, then your brake light should be on, even if you're using engine braking.

Yes, that's a great one for commuting, but useful to do everywhere in general.

I used to commute 23 miles one way on the ruckus once per week. It was fun but had to avoid highways 😅
When I did the DRG in 2018 it poured on me on the way back....it was not supposed to rain for a other 3 hours so it was a moist ride home 😂

Time for a big boy bike!! lol (though I'm still looking forward to a Ruckus, have the big and the small). At least you're going home after getting drenched. Imagine getting rained on going to work, with no rain gear, no change of clothes... THAT would be a rough day.

Please, don't split lanes at 30 to 40 mph Faster than traffic. You can get squashed Very quickly.

Absolutely. People are already blind to bikes, don't create a worse situation. Thanks!
