- Sorry for this video being late. Work and riding weather have hampered my ability to get new content on.
On this episode of The Daily Slab, this was my first official day of commuting this season. New exhaust is on, but I will do another video focused more on that. I have to work a little on my sound with the new exhaust, it is definitely louder. LOL. I thought we could also talk about commuting in general. The reason to commute and the mindset you need to have if you are going to commute daily. I believe riders, especially new riders, should consider all the aspects before buying a bike for commuting.
The Daily Slab will include information on motorcycle commuting, motorcycle riding tips, and riding a 2017 Harley Davidson Road King.

Hey Phil, love the videos. I agree with you so much on commuting. It’s fun but definitely not the same as driving, you need a different mind set when you get on your bike. Living in Southern California I get to commute almost all year round in all sorts of traffic. Your comment on following distance was dead on. Had I followed that advice years ago I would’ve avoided a collision that left me with a broken arm. Luckily I always ride with full gear and was able to walk away from that accident. But it was avoidable, and I wouldn’t have a plate in my arm had I kept my distance. Traffic here is heavy and speeds vary considerably even on the same stretch of road. And drivers today are more distracted and ballsy than ever. Again thanks for your videos and ride safe - Daniel.

That "gap" I ride both bike and truck like that and I hate when the people cut in and out of it like you said the gotta adjust for it but it's nice to have
Share the sentiments from SINGAPORE. City riding on a King is a love hate relationship. It rains randomly here too. The day could start beautiful, so I rode. After work could start raining or drizzling, can’t leave the ride at work. That’s the worst thing to do. Riding a 350kg bike without ABS. Ride safe 🤙🏼

I live in Texas I used to commute on my bike in the morning. Not anymore too many a holes driving cars texting on their cell phone in the morning. Actually they do it all day. My job requires me to drive around all day . I see it all day.
