Theres also ganyu melt, vape and even quad teams [1 of each of the following up to 4 - electro, hydro, dendro, cryo, pyro] So teams like clorinde, thoma, lynette, emilie or kokomi, emilie, ganyu, dehya or even alhaitham burn can be more of an option. Honestly, im glad for the buffs and removals

Anyways i think sucrose could be better since she will buff wriothesley's melts and emilies burning dmg. However sucrose wont swirl cryo either so zhongli is a good option too.
After 3 years of playing, now I find more interest in niche team comps, especially if that niche was very strong and fun/comfy to play. So I'm excited after these buffs and I'm kinda convinced to pull for Emilie. I also hope she will work well with Natlan characters.
You know how Alhaitham can have a quickbloom team by just using a lot of Dendro with a character who provides lots of Electro and another character who provides intermittent Hydro? I wonder if a parallel kind of ‘Burn-geon’ team could be created from this kind of mold using Al, Emi, a quick Pyro applicator and an intermittent Hydro applicator

i think the "quick pyro applicator" is the problem here. thoma is so far the go to burgeon unit, but his pyro application isnt that great on the same targets, so i doubt that double dendro would work, i could see double pyro burgeon with emily tho (especially since you dont wanna play alhaitham without quicken anyways, he wouldnt deal any damage)
A team like Klee, Nahida, Furina/Kokomi, and Emilie could be good. Altho I think this is better for single target scenarios, since it is kinda impossible in aoe situations for Furina to create blooms through Klee's immense Pyro application (ik, I've tried burn-geon klee) Klee applies A LOT of Pyro on her own thus keeping the burn up with Nahida. Furina's pets applies hydro slowly, sometimes vaping but it usually creates 1-2 blooms cores every 2-3 seconds. With Nahida running with the healing weapon (I forgot the name) this team could be viable.
Have you tested it out. I've been trying for a bit and it doesn't work for me. Although there is a burn aggravate team with clorinde I've seen. I find it quite interesting, and it actually works in gameplay rather than just theory. But I'll have to try it myself when I get clorinde in the future to confirm. It's on this guy name saudo smn chinal.

Feels insane that they’re releasing such a strong character kit on a character we’ve never met once before in-game. I’m very curious how the banner sales are going to go for her. Especially with the design getting mixed responses too
I wouldn't put her in a arle team only if you have a restricted charpool same goes for chiorie. vape and melt are just too good for arle not to have apart from this yelan and furina also have very good sup dps and both buff dmg% and you have to give up kazuha and put zhongli in there what means less pyro shred or you have no res shred for emilie herself -> less dmg -> less useful. not to mention that you want deepwood on someone else since she probably has the bruning set on her. so a additional set bonus wasted on her instead of arle or she has no burning set/deepwood -> less dmg -> less useful.
Emilie is a great subdps and sort of-sustain, so she'd be great for overall team damage. I don't think she buffs the reaction itself or affect burnmelt, so as a Wrio and Ganyu main, I suggest waiting for the trials and guides. Personally, I won't be going for her 'cause I want my main dps to shine, not pull for a subdps who just adds their own damage without buffs 😅
Very likely yes, but remember Natlan is around the corner and we finally will get decent pyro off fielders other than XL. Melt should be more viable that way, maybe even without burn and running anemo.

Design wise, she's really mid. I saw her animation and she's really mid. If in game, she's good, then I guess her usefulness will be the real factor people will pull for her.
She is useful and even more so for various comps that need the burning such as lyney or melt. Or even just her dendro application because of how much her E does it already. [Unlike DMC who has to use burst and getting burst uptime is a pain and a half]
Can someone explain to me why the DPS calcs for the melt teams are "higher because of longer rotation"? That doesn't make any sense to me. I mean, it's called Damage Per Second for a reason, no? I thought that theoretical value was there so that it's possible to compare different builds?
Either they're measuring DPR (Damage per rotation) or the longer rotations just happen to have a higher DPS because of how their cooldowns are lined up compared to shorter rotations. A 20 second rotation that does 100k damage total has a higher DPR than a 15 second rotation that does 75k damage total, but they both have the same DPS (100k/20s = 5k DPS, 75k/15s = 5k DPS)
What I wanted to point out is that you shouldn't directly compare the DPS numbers of the pyro teams shown with the burn-melt teams because their rotation time is different. The burn-melt teams are calcing 1 rotation every ~20 sec, while the pyro teams calcs are kinda fitting "2 rotations" within 30 sec total. So you really shouldn't conclude that "Emilie with Arlecchino is better than with Wriothesley because the team dps is higher" as there are other factors such as rotation time, damage per rotation, etc.

It still doesn't change the fact that half her damage won't be buffed by her passive due to lack of Dendro to keep the Burning uptime. But her E skill has as much uptime and downtime as Zhongli, an Archon. You dont even need to burst at all, Just E skill. The application and burning is good from that alone. Tack on Lyney, melt teams, and burning teams it's overall good.

This is the reason why players creates toxicity upon themselves, they are so adamant to know a character even before release and decides if they are worth it, rather than finding it on your own and make your wanted character WORK, they kill the essence of having fun. Genshin is an easy game, an adventure game. But people loses fun because of their self made toxicity. Crazy how theres many players are like that here.
Depends on the characters u got in your accoint. Overall i think nilou is better, she have the best multitarget teams in the game while emilie will be a buff for burn teams. Which aren't too good for now. Like if u have baizhu, nahida, kokomi or plan to get sigewine better go for nilou. If u have wriothesley, ganyu, neuvilete and want to play melt/vaporize with burn reaction u can get emilie.

I don't think it was a shot in the foot, it was calculated. Pyro had occupied the top spot since launch with vape/melt, they wanted electro and dendro to shine so that's what they did. Now that this meta is getting old, the "bad" reaction will get better tools in the new region so you pull again.
Everyone will pull her once she'll arrive...if not yet then ofcourse in rerun... People forgot about murata... Can you imagine how good she is in off field pyro application and buffer? In Natlan burning will be meta no doubt.

Dps is the umbrella therm for damage dealer, but a lot of calcs use rotation instead of seconds as an unit. That's the tldr

😂it's funny how hoyo shot themselves in the foot with the burning reaction. ppl were so excited for it with dendro's release but hoyo decided to take that golden opportunity and nerf it to oblivion so it wouldn't shake up the existing meta. now they're trying to make characters that can create a niche in that abyss 😂throwing buffs left and right to make them work enough to avoid another flopped banner. everybody knows this'll be a filler patch, manufacturing crap to keep players engaged until natlan is out. I gotta say wuwa chose a good time for release

I don't think it was a shot in the foot, it was calculated. Pyro had occupied the top spot since launch with vape/melt, they wanted electro and dendro to shine so that's what they did. Now that this meta is getting old, the "bad" reaction will get better tools in the new region so you pull again.

only in wave-heavy content when it's hard to reapply Nahida's mark for dendro, but generally, I wouldn't recommend Emilie outside of Burning-oriented teams

I hate that mihoyo don't make the actual reaction better, bloom was already a good reaction & we got Nilou who made the reaction 10x better. Now we get Emilie a burning focused character who does ... litterally nothing to burning ??? she doesn't want EM so that already a massive L for burning & she doesn't buff the actual reaction in any way, like come on you can't tell me with how high her multipliers are that they can't give the reaction an atk scaling or something
