I use to work in the food industry for years . We would wash all the produce & let it dry on racks before putting them in the refrigerators so they are clean, dry, & ready to go.
If over saturated with water, it causes produce to rot more rapidly in fridge.
It's amazing the amount of people who watch a video to help themselves do better and they already know everything.
C'mon people! Take away what you want, leave the rest. Why does every damn person on the planet feel the need to correct everyone with their own opinion. Just stop.

I love the look of an organized fridge, but in all the video's I have watched about fridge organization I never see space for left over cooked food. I can't cook everyday and I refuse to eat out every day so there has got to be room for left over food containers.

She has a whole drink shelf. If you don't, you would have a whole shelf free.

Yes, I wondered about the same. Sometimes there are multiple leftover dishes, so I’d definitely need to keep some space open for that.
I have my fridge organized in the same way but I left half of my top shelf for leftovers, so far it’s working lol
Beautiful organization! I love the berry containers that drain. My Italian grandmother would be angry if I didn’t tell you that you shouldn’t refrigerate tomatoes, they lose their flavor😀
Now I’m taking my tomato’s out I got last night. Thank you!

Don't put onions also in the fridge 😆

Exactly what I thought! Tomatoes and Avocados stay out at room temp. But I always store my clementines and apples in the fruit drawer.
In theory it looks lovely, in practice it will look like a normal fridge in a couple of weeks.
Couple of days if not hours.
Yeah, no room for left overs and no room for extra food for special dinners or meals for holidays, church, or just family/friends coming over. This wouldn’t work for me for sure.
Without so many drinks you would have room for meal leftovers. The basic ideas will help keep the fridge clean and less hassle to wipe down spills and crumbs.
Basically you would need to redo this every week if not every few days!
Fruits and vegetables should go down in the enclosed drawers. Keeps them fresh longer.

That’s how they get forgotten about.
They may last longer bit only to be forgotten and not eaten.
No point in lasting longer if I have no object permanence and forget about their existence for 2 weeks. XD
The spinning condiment tray is a game changer thanks. The entire video was very helpful and super quick. I love that you didn't give a lot of babble and the close up visuals paused long enough to see what was actually done. 5*s and thumbs up.
Beautiful fridge! Just take note that berries should be washed right before consuming them, or else it will turn into a berry mush..
I wash mine at the beginning of the week and they never turn to mush 🤷🏻♀️

Tip:
When cleaning out the fridge I put meats/ dairy in a cooler bag with ice packs. (Freeze many ice packs before and just put them with all the other stuff as well) and w k as fast as possible.
I also put some things in the freezer. (If you are fast it doesnt freeze)
Suggestion with raw meat. Put them in a plastic bag or on a plate that can be washed. Just in case there is a leak in the meat container.

Kristen, I really like what you've done with your fridge. I like to prep my fruits and veggies right when I come home too - I eat more of them this way. :) I've never seen the slim salad containers but I really like them. I also love that Lazy Susan for the fridge! Great video!

Agreed or the onions as they are not meant to be in the fridge and can spoil and mold. The berries precut seems like they would not last either. Mason Jars keep the longest.
Just did my fridge and it looks so good. Just need to run some of the door plastics through the dishwasher. Now onto the pantry!!! Thanks for the inspiration
I have ran soo many things through the dishwasher, but my craziest was BLINDS. on low temp, delicate, you've never seen 7 years worth of grime in a massively overpopulated home look soo amazing!

You buy ready boiled eggs! Definitely, USA is having massive food difference.
I can assure you, not every American buys ready made boiled eggs. I enjoy farm fresh eggs and use my Instant Pot to make my own hard boiled eggs. ❤️

Sooo many drinks!!!! My fridge is smaller but just today I made a list of what containers to get to do what you did. This is overall an inspiring and helpful episode.
I just did my pantry too and put nuts, partial bags of snacks in canning jars. So neat and tidy I tackled the fridge.

Our fridge is very small. I keep my seltzer in my pantry and just drink with ice. I don’t buy water in bottles. We do have a mini fridge in our garage where my husband keeps a few bottles of beer, and I put any holiday overflow.

I've been going through my fridge just today! I try to do a deep clean before I go to the store, so I know what I have and need. However some of those veggie bins look cool.

You realize that washed and cut up strawberries and zucchini (as every fruit and veggie) lose the majority of their vitamins when stored that way. Better to eat them right after having been washed and cut up.
That's a misconception; washing and cutting fruit has negligible effect if the fruits and veggies are then refrigerated

I took wrinkled forgotten carrots and put them in a tupper, fully submerged with water and they were AMAZING two days later!!!!!! they lasted 2 months. INSANE. I use the jar method for cilantro (change water every few days) and celery!

Hi!!! Ahhh it looks Amazing!!! I ordered all of my bins and putting together this weekend. I can’t wait!!! We have the same fridge except my right top door has where you can open it to the inside shelves. Makes me think I should get something for in there. Maybe like the ones you have your coffee in ❤️

Just a friendly FYI, onions should never be stored in the fridge unless left over from cutting. Keep in cool dry place of pantry. Also avocados, tomatoes and bell peppers shouldn't be stored in fridge unless having already been cut up. I saw all those were in your refrigerator.

I've always pretty much kept all those in the fridge except onion. I knew you could leave them out, but I thought it lasted a little longer in the fridge.

@@jessiwalters7589 some grocery stores keep bell peppers refrigerated. Ive heard anything that comes from the refrigerated section should stay refrigerated once home? Again not all stores do it but ive seen some that do

i’m sure people are only trying to come from a good place to help you save some more perishable items, but we’ve always kept the same items in my fridge!! I love the kitchen organizers, and have also been using them for a long while!! they do NOT have any affect on how long the food lasts (except the berry container & the asparagus hack), but they certainly make it look far better!! love from montana!!

These always look nice but there is never any extra space. I make baked ziti (foods that require trays or refrigeration), or buy other foods that need fridge space and there is nowhere to put it when you organize every inch like that. Mine is organized but I also need shelf space for other miscellaneous items.

I love the organization of all the food and beverage. It is very neat and tidy. I can only hope theres less single use water plastic bottles. Its good to know there are no single use food packaging in your fridge like snacks or kids drink. Other TH-camrs uses a lot of it just to show off and its not really good for the environment. Im glad your fridge is nothing like it. Everything looks fresh.

I use place mats in my fridge so it makes it easier for cleaning up. I clean my fridge out every weekend. Thanks for the tips.
People may say the produce won’t last as long, but I know I won’t use it at all if it isn’t quick and easy to grab and use without prepping. Your fridge is lovely - would you share the make and model? Congrats on 1 mill!! Well deserved.
