I agree that there is only one true word of God, and that being the Gospel. The musicians of yesterday, however were playing in clubs as well as church.. The sound has always inter mingled, and at times completely mirrored each other. Also, just as point of reference, Hymns and anthems have always contained elements of classical music, which every period had a different perspective. It is you sir that needs to research your music... Gospel is considered to be a genre of music, whether you like it or not.

Maybe, other tunes in the album are jazzy, but this sounds entirely Gospel to me and in a very nice way. But then, Gospel, blues and jazz are so inter-related.
