    You love these nice jobs Peter , carbon , horrible stuff, but dont they create so much of the stuff, great tip about the drill bit in the glow plug hole , your getting a bit of an expert on these egr valves 👍👍

      We actually wouldn’t have found only for taking the shortcut of disassembling it 😬
      And the glow plugs were on the verge of snapping so yes it’s great when they work out. Thanks Mike 👍👍

    Do you think the EGR should do a re-adaption? If the PCM is monitoring current from stuck to unstuck perhaps

    • @kennedysgarage3281
      @kennedysgarage3281  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Correct Dave, one of my lads that was working on this job wanted to separate the egr valve & I said to be careful seeing the Ranger issue 2 weeks or so ago. Thinking that the other lad had bent it while re assembling it, so he left me do it. Lucky because we might have missed it being stuck. Then he didn’t want to break of 2 & 3 glow plugs so that became my job too 😬 but he did re adapt & done a drive cycle to watch it do a regeneration. This was one of those ones that could have gotten huge but happily it didn’t 😉👍

    Good job 👍 seeing more and more egr valves on forklift trucks and because of the nature of the job, stop start and cold to medium temperature and being governed to much lower rpm there clogging themselves up in no time 🤦‍♂️

    Hi,
    do you have to reset the EGR values once youve changed over the part?
    Also im having a P0104 fault for (mass air flow A Circuit intermittent

    • @kennedysgarage3281
      @kennedysgarage3281  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I would normally do an egr reset afterwards, it just relearns the open and closed egr voltages in the engine ECU. You could get away with it if the egr is a good brand.
      The egr valve sticking will give you an airflow fault too 🤞🤞🤞

    Is it necessary to take the top of the EGR valve of to change the glow plugs ? I've just done a egr valve now have glow plug faults 😄

    • @kennedysgarage3281
      @kennedysgarage3281  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I cannot remember exactly, but I don’t think you do.
      If you do it is very easy to do so just remember to pry it up from underneath rather than lifting the motor off from the top. There could’ve around 4 hours involved in doing the glow plugs. Good luck with it 🤞🤞👍

    How easy is it to take the intake manifold off? And any advice on what to use before I attempt to remove the glow plugs because I've been told there common on snapping?

    • @kennedysgarage3281
      @kennedysgarage3281  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You should be able to remove the intake manifold in around 1 or so. I find that if the engine is hot before disassembling that the glow plugs come out easier. So get it hot disassemble as quick as possible & use a bit of finesse and plenty easing oil. Also work them out and if the get tight run them back in & repeat as often as necessary. Good luck with it 🤞🤞🤞

Got fuel 10000psi to 12000 psi on cranking and 150 rpm to 241 rpm.. not all to hip of diesels .. thinking maybe air in the fuel or glow plugs and if glow plugs how do I go on checking those thanks to who ever helps

    • @nevergoodenough9604

      No faults at all but I notice today when cranking the rpm goes from 150 to 250 and drops to 73 113 all quickly so im suspecting a crank sensor gonna test it tomorrow
