I just loved this movie and Baryshnikov was fabulous and so was Gregory Hines. The song by Lionel Richie fit perfectly. All superstars in their own right.

Baryshnikov beautiful, graceful and smooth as silk. Gregory Hines beautiful, edgy, hip and cool. The two beautiful talented women Helen and Isabella. I love this movie❤❤
This was one of my mom's favorite movies and she had the soundtrack album. I was a kid when this movie was new and she's been passed away 20 years but I feel connected to her listening to this.
I went and seen this back in 1985 with my Uncle James I was mad because he would not take me to see Rocky IV again 😆 but I liked the movie and this song R.I.P. Uncle James thanks for everything❤

I go through a lot of stress in my life, and I feel like I need "that helping hand, someone who understands". Also am I the only one who thinks there should be a "We Are The World" style version of this, with other popular singers? (or that there should have been one, when Michael Jackson and all the other singers were still alive)
How could the critics back then have panned this movie? Did we have higher standards then? After seeing pieces of trash productions like The Rings of Power, it makes me shudder to think that an even more dumbed down generation will christen that horrid bastardization of Tolkien a masterpiece in 20 years.
