Arrival was the last of the many Mass Effect 2 DLC's. It is the one that most link and foreshadows to what the story of Mass Effect 3. Like all the other story based Mass Effect DLC's, it has a good story, and feels like it could be part of the main game.
A deep cover agent is missing in Batarian space, after reporting evidence of an imminent Reaper invasion. Shepard must travel to the edge of the galaxy, rescue the agent, and discover the truth behind the Arrival.
As always we included relevant gameplay, important dialogue, and all cutscenes to create one fluid cinematic experience.

This DLC should've been in the game, cause the beginning of ME3 makes no sense without this.
It's almost like they started working on this after ME2 was already finished...
This would of been a great tutorial mission to be honest. Show off the dialog system, how decisions matter, all that. Just had to tone down the difficulty and enemies you fight.

@@spartanpawn007 It's almost like a mission extracted directly off ME3 and pasted into the ME2 game files. The relay jump cutscene is done in the style of ME3.
They should have just put it in ME3 and had some missions before the invasion.

Whenever this mission is assigned, I think of these words: "Does the meaning political shitstorm meaning anything to you?!"
How the Alliance makes Shepard their scapegoat is beyond me.
Because at the time of this event, Shepard no longer works for Cerberus and is effectively a free agent as a Spectre. However, he _was_ an Alliance Commander. So publicly, the Alliance is selling him off to the Batarians as a way of 'showing' that they're clearing house.
But when the Reapers arrive, the Batarian systems were the first ones hit very nearly wiping out their entire race. So there's no one left to appease anymore (and really, the Batarians were _constantly_ raiding human colonies for slaves anyway. So good effing riddance). And with the revelation that everything Shepard has done was to prepare for the Reapers, they gets a complete pardon and swift reinstatement.

While you're off doing loyalty missions and preparing for the suicide mission the reapers are in the galaxies, taking months to get to the next relay sure but there nonetheless
Kaibivplayz, key difference between harbinger and sovereign is the front tentacle. Harbinger doesn’t have one.
Ah, recently redownloaded ME1+2+3, for the first time with DLC, and I thought that the unnamed Collector general didn't carry quite enough importance for the message he was conveying. Makes more sense that Harbinger was option #1.

Shepard just punching out 2 armed and armored guards while in nothing but plain clothes never ceases to be funny to me.
To be fair, at this point he's a bleeding edge combat cyborg with some sort of alloy mesh and implants in his skin, muscles and bones. If anything, I'm surprised their faceplates didn't cave in.
Shepard is the most expensive combat centered man in the galaxy. I'm sure his punches are stronger then Wrex.
Ah biotics look like so much fun too bad I'm a dedicated soldier at least I can use slam in ME2
Yeah, my Shep is a soldier too, it sucks that we can't use slam in ME3, is my favorite skill.

My favorite game of all time.
Loved ME 2 DLC. So much fun and in depth. Haven't really played ME 3 DLC so don't know how that stacks up to this.
All I'll say is the citadel dlc

Reapers have absurdly advanced technology.
Attempting too late would likely result in either A. Them simply blowing up the asteroid, or B. Them simply getting to the relay first.

Why the crew didn´t did anything, after they didn´t heard anything for two hole days?
The reapers would have just destroyed the asteroid or have the project staff do it for them

Honestly, how did Shepard not get indoctrinated after he made contact with the Reaper device. Everyone that has ever interfaced with a Reaper artifact or a reaper before is usually indoctrinated but Shepard just got knocked out for a few days and woke up like nothing happened.
It's like they just gave the fuck up after ME1: "We've been spotted."

I thought of this while watching 3 Body Problem.
I didn't really like this dlc cuz it made you kill so many innocents with no other options. Still a good game though

@The Meticulous Gentleman Yes. It partly explains why Shepard is in Alliance custody at the beginning of Mass Effect 3. He's being charged with a bunch of shit, partly from his affiliation with Cerberus, but mostly because he destroyed a mass relay, destroying the star system and killing 300,000 people in the process

Indoctrination theory is utter BS that's fully contradicted by everything in the story. Even the writers themselves said that it was a "cute theory" but completely wrong.
The idea of Shepard being indoctrinated is a terrible idea anyways.
