The idea of being asked if you have epilepsy in the middle of a horror game is way too funny. Imagine the confusion of anyone meeting the pumpkin after the patch. You're busy with this horror game, then a pumpkin asks you if you have epilepsy and directs you into a black hole that kills you with no explanation.
Look up "The Pumpkin Dance" meme on Know your meme, as its a very famous japanese internet meme and probaly what they are referencing. Oddheader probaly didn't know since hes.. not culutred.

The GTA one may have been a copyright concern.
If people did believe it resembled Jesse Pinkman enough for people to spread word that it was an image of him, then it would open them up to legal disputes over the unsanctioned portrayal of a copyrighted character.
But of course, they didn't want to dishonour the original Easter egg, so they replaced it with... a phallic bird graffiti. How honourable.
Absolutely not. It's nowhere close enough to Jesse Pinkman to even bring up copyright as an aggrieved party would have to demonstrate that it not only looks like Aaron Paul, but somehow specifically looks like the character Jesse Pinkman beyond that, something that's basically impossible to prove definitively from the low-res, traced image that that is the case. I can't tell you why it was removed, but there's no chance anyone was afraid of a lawsuit when removing it.
Actually I think you may be onto something. They actually had been sued (very unsuccessfully) by Lindsay Lohan for the same exact reason, except she tried to say that the blonde taking a selfie in the loading screen was her likeness they stole
I think they removed it because it got attention and Rockstar are known trolls when it comes to Easter Eggs so they replaced it with something funny to troll whoever sees it again
@@shitpostingstevebecauseall6279 I would agree that it's not a clear enough depiction for anyone to WIN a copyright case over, but to initiate proceedings is a different matter. There are a lot of individuals who will initiate an unwinnable case in the hopes that
a) The company will quickly settle instead of challenging, just to avoid wasting additional resources on a court case, or
b) the publicity generated will have an overall positive impact on brand growth for the accuser.
Admittedly, I can't imagine AMC or Aaron Paul benefiting from either of those possibilities, but maybe the risk of something happening was enough for Rockstar to not even chance it.
Alternatively, maybe one of the Rockstar legal advisors disagreed and felt the depiction WAS close enough in likeness to be a copyright risk (or perhaps there was evidence that it actually was Aaron Paul's likeness), so they just stripped it out under advisement.

Riot games got sued over the same thing over one of their skins. At the end of the day it's better to just avoid such a possibility altogether. (Btw I think it 100% looks like Jesse Pinkman lol)

The Elden Ring one is pretty popular among the players
That Prototype easter egg sounds like a couple devs just messing with the people giving the interview. Like one of them remembered placing a leg on the roof of a building at some point and just started making stuff up about it. It sounds a lot like those playground rumors about the old pokemon games like needing to beat the elite four 50 times with one pokemon and then you get Mew.
I remember kids saying they found a "nude code" in, just about, every game made. Mortal Kombat and Tomb Raider were big ones.
I bet they were pulling the interviewer's leg.

Its always more interesting to see silly easter eggs in horror games than the opposite, some can be pretty funny though you wouldn't see me playing through the games to find them lol.
That sort of Easter egg is also super common for RPG horror games. some of them even have the same exact thing, a dance party.

Personally I love the inverse, finding horror easter eggs in silly games. I absolutely adore horror when done right and the best way to do it is with the juxtaposition between a normal game and finding something horrifying just under the surface. It's a lovely time.

Because you can sometimes find scary Easter eggs in NoNhorror games and then that easter egg just may very well like change the whole feel or atmosphere of the whole game man you know

@@luckyducky7819 I think it's more that every game gives a non specific warning at the very beginning so basically even if it's one tiny section or none and they are just putting it in a precaution, that would mean people with epilepsy can't play at all. This one actually tells you when it's going to happen, so someone with epilepsy could still enjoy the game .
Also on the other hand, yeah rpg maker games from before 2020 tend to not give epilepsy warnings.
@@Parasolhyena I don't see what's wrong with that. Would you rather they don't put one in the beginning, and then break the flow of the game or story by putting an epilepsy warning wherever its relevant?
One warning in the beginning should be enough if you suffer from epilepsy. It'll remind you to take precautions. I'll also settle for a sort of accessibility mode where you can turn off effects that might cause a seizure, but really just the warning in the beginning should be enough.
@@luckyducky7819 having played part of pocket mirror a pumpkin asking if you have epilepsy isn't breaking flow. I mean a fantasy terrorist furry pretends to be a miracle survivor of an attack and asks you to help hide them from the government. And this happens while you're working with her boyfriend (whos a stuffed animal) stitching together her dead body to try and revive her (they were dismembered and you're time travelling through mirrors to find the parts required. And when you finish they commit more terrorism killing other dancers in a ball to be the best dancers forever

The two coins thing is probably in reference to the river man in Greek mithology to where you need two coins (one for both eyes) to pass on to the after life.

That Pocket Mirror easter egg is hilarious, definitely should've been left in the game. I think when horror games have silly easter eggs it's a nice breather from the scares.
Believe me, the Deathbed Smalls aren't a secret to literally any Elden Ring "artist." How do I know this? Research purposes of course.

As a man of culture...I can confirm a lot of "art" for Elden Ring contains the Deathbed Smalls.
I don't think you've ever covered this but in the PS4 remake of Shadow of the Colossus there were a few mysterious drawings of goats hidden in the game at launch that I remember everyone was trying to solve the meaning of. I believe they were ultimately removed in an update and I don't think their meaning was ever solved.

I found an easter egg on bulletstorm recently, its hasn't been removed and from what I've looked up nobody else has found it apart from me 🥺 But in the mission where you have to look for serrano's drop pod, You can find a crashed drop pod with which looks like a Red Key Card just sat there.

Actually, the face on Mt. Chilliad in GTA V is believed to be from Dave Dixon, one of the developers. There's a picture of him on the internet and it's REALLY similar to the one in the mountain. Another proof of this is the fact that the face on the mountain texture is named "signature_dds". So it's a signature, and "DD" could be short for "Dave Dixon".

In Elden Ring, all player NPCs are similar to actual player models, meaning they need Armor to wear, the deathbed smalls thus needed to be in the game to make Fia's armor make sense I guess?
She actually wears it in game too, at least she did early on. People found that out by moving the camera a specific way

I used to work on a PS4 sci-fi game as technical artist, but basically every artists in the team put our own easter eggs in the game and literally tell no one.
I once put a message in morse code on a crate with blinking lights which said "It's all lie!" "Help! I'm trapped in here." imagine how people would react when they find the hidden message and tried to figure the meaning behind it, but it was release 4 years ago and I still haven't seen anyone who notice it. So if you ever played a game that has crates with blinking lights, I suggest you pay extra attention to it.

Hey so about the mount Chiliad mystery...
I remember hearing something about Rockstar planned on releasing 3 DLCs for single player, one for each protagonist. Michael apparently would have fought a zombie outbreak, Trevor would have became an FIB agent, and Franklin would fight aliens. The reason the DLC were never released is because Rockstar made so much money off of GTA online that they never bothered to put in the effort to finish the single player DLCs and instead opted to make next gen versions of the game.
If it's true then it's likely that the mount Chiliad mystery is related directly to the DLC for Franklin fighting aliens.
This is the first I'm hearing of there actually was plans for gta 5 single player DLC at all, do you have any back up evidence Because everywhere else said rockstar never planned any DLC even when GTA online was starting out on original release

I agree but also want to add on that their response was ridiculously overkill too. They should have kept it in and just made them accessible, but banning everyone that had then even those that just innocently picked them up from others? Absolutely ridiculous.
@@ibigfire so true, I get that they wanted to get rid of hackers, but that situation was handled very poorly, similar to GameFreak banning players for having hacked pokemon in a game where you can send whatever you want to other players
It's not an Easter Egg or anything like that, since she's a npc she is literally wearing them; it's been a thing in all Fromsoft games that NPCs start out as naked and are just made to have certain functional armor/clothing to have equipped.

I'd say the severed leg is a clever pun. The expression "you're pulling my leg" meaning that you're misleading them, or not being honest entirely.
The image at the top of Mount Chilliad is apparently just a cry message to the player saying that if they get 100% they can see the ovni
The jetpack is meant to represent Trevor, the egg Franklin and so on. The Strange Mna did a video about it, highly recommend it
Without doing literally any reaseach outside this video I think the Prototype egg could still be there it just doesn't start at the leg. The trigger point is elsewhere, wherever this new character showed up, and the leg comes in later
Maybe the leg grew up and became an npc later in the game and rarely spawns somewhere around the map
Based on nothing but this video, I think the "Prototype easter egg" is a troll, with the developers 'pulling our leg'* so much/so hard that it actually came off. 😁
* for non-English speakers, "pulling your leg" is an idiom, possibly of Scottish origin, that means "I'm just joking." or "I'm just messing with you."

2:38 This pictogram shows 'missions' relating to Gilead: 8 missions, 5 superficial, 1 accessible in normal-play-through (note the line from stick-figure-jet-packing-glyph to the exterior of the mountain); 3 lines enter Gilead based on the pictogram, 2 dead-ends inside, there're alien-missions directly adjacent to the jetpack-mission leading to an alien-hatching-plot; 2 ways to reach it, bottom of the mountain, and midway up the opposite side, with a direct hatchling exit, straight up.
It maybe necessary to blow up random boulders until an entrance is located , or else the whole thing is just set up for a non-existant DLC to mesh the missions together, or use the pictogram to deduce a time and date of year to gain access, timing the full-moon-mercury-retrograde-el-nino-galactic-equinox and thus the entry bears itself.

The chiliad image is the story of the game and the journey the character makes, and eventually you see a ufo ag the top of the mountain after finishing the game, there being no shortcuts to the top

It's funny, I find his voice both soothing and 'seggsy' (hrm. maybe 'sensual' is a better word?) at the same time. lol His voice paired with his music makes the 'Oddheader Countdowns' playlist excellent background noise when I need to not be so tightly wound up (stupid chronic anxiety!); it can help me remind myself to just relax & be chill.

Seeing [PROTOTYPE] (I refuse to spell it any other way) was a surprise to be sure, but a welcome one, I love that game and Hulk: Ultimate Destruction so much, and its sequel is pretty good too. I had no idea that leg easter egg even existed, so learning about that was cool.

Always happy when I’m sitting down to eat and think oddheaders due for a video and I’m right
this is the only channel that does not repeat the same 10 easter eggs every video.
Yet in the midst of a very long and hard day, a single beam of light has appeared, to grace my life with a single statement. “Oddheader has a new video”
Fia's underwear is in the game files because Fia is actually wearing it. The strange thing is they bothered to remove the ragged set in a recent patch which was worn by a cut NPC but not the brave's set or the grass hair ornament headpiece.

@@whiterosesalchemist ah, a man of culture I see. The answer is yes but it would be replaced with the default panties since she's using the player's model. But they could just remove it and make a unique model for Fia with the underwear as part of her mesh.
I had the game Prototype and loved the powerful abilities and destruction. I found that leg at one point but when I couldn't do anything with it I just assumed it was a part of a random NPC they forgot to fully despawn during testing so the leg was never removed. If anything I think the joke is that someone actually left it in by accident and by making it seem like an unsolved Easter egg they get continuous questions and hunting on someone's embarrassing mistake as a little joke on them.
