This might not seem that significant to other people, but I got to thank oddheader for getting subtitles on all his videos the second they launch. For someone who has issues with hearing people/understanding them, it makes me feel really glad that I can rely on good subtitles right from the minute the video launches instead of having to either wait or rely on youtube's auto subtitles, which really suck.
Its probably something really easy to do too! Most professional channels read off a script, so its as simple as just pasting the script into the captions and adjusting the timing! This should be something everyone does :)
Related, but slight tangent, Technology Connections opens his channel up to user-generated international subtitles so the hearing impaired in languages he doesn't speak can still enjoy the videos. Unfortunately, I read a while ago TH-cam was going to get rid of user-generated captions and that's a change that would genuinely piss me off.

The Luigi's Mansion thing is definitely just sparks of clanging metal, the gears are smashing against one another since the clock is jammed. It's interesting that they thought the lab coat killing them was too gruesome though
Maybe it was the idea that would get kids imagining bodies being crushed they didn't want running through their minds. They didn't want kids to have nightmares. But still; if your going to create a game off ghosts then you have to expect people to wonder such things anyways. My opinion anyways.
@@yoda908 The existence of ghosts is debatable. The possibility of being crushed by mechanical gears is not. I don't think the devs would want to be responsible for giving some people a phobia that might actually affect them in the future where working with machinery will be unavoidable.
@@ThePhantom4516 The strobebombs (and normal ones too) used in the final use the same red droplet effect, so its more than safe to say that that red object is just a bomb stuck in the gears. I'm pretty sure that there is at least one instance of a bomb being trapped in-between gears in the final.

In all fairness, I can't remember any of those details you mentioned from the original. Not saying they aren't there, but if they are, they aren't nearly as up-front. Meanwhile, a lab coat stuck in some gears, a building being abandoned due to a "horrible accident" and a heart or something similar being caught in the gears, possibly dripping blood, would be a bit much even for the original.
Lets keep it real. Showing a ghost kid and saying how they died is a LOT more child friendly then showing a bloody, mangled disaster area filled with ghosts and still bleeding pulpy masses smushed against gears.

Speaking of Horizon Zero Dawn, it is possible to get to the "Naming Cliff" only seen in the opening cutscene through some code hacking. It is far above Rost's house in the mountains. Aloy even has specific dialogue for this location you would never hear otherwise.

The Luigi's Mansion easter egg reminds me of the myths about the prague astronomical clock where if I remember correctly the man that fixed it after it stopped working sacrificed himself in the clock or the clock killed him or something like that and that is how it finally started to run again. It's a bit vague though because the medieval texts containing the myth on it are really vague and unorganized and I believe a lot are also missing. Anyways that's just what I think about that.

Except you can tell it's deliberately drop shaped when he zooms in & slows it down. I think the reason it's going in multiple directions is because the thing that's bleeding is being squeezed by the gears so it's squirting instead of just dripping.

BTW the red object in Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon could possibly be a gem. It looks to be the same shade of red that the rest of the Old Clockworks gems, and, personally, I do think it looks like one of the gem shapes in the game.
I didn’t play LM2 but it could be a heart or something, it has the same kind of look and could’ve been jammed in the gears, maybe you had to hit it down with something to retrieve it?
@@jamestiberius9637 While I think the red is a bit too muted for the object to be a heart, it could be the meh quality of the footage affecting the color, meaning that it could totally be a heart. It's a shame we don't have better quality footage we can use to figure it out.
I think that it might just be sparks from the gears. In the old clock works there's one mission where you have to fix the gears and you can see the sparks on the gears that you have to fix and it kind of looks identical to the mysterious drips that were shown to us.
@@edgar8376 could be that they were lazy and used a pre-existing dripping animation and edited it to look like sparks and that is why the shape of them is very droplet-esque
the amount of times there has been the story of "this person found this easter egg, then it was immediately patched out in the next patch" when the game had already been through like 20 patches by then. and its always something that isnt widely known!
Fun fact: in reference to the first easter egg, I'm led to believe that the dev/devs that placed it there were making a reference to one of the funniest archeological finds in history. Google: Masturb***ing man of Pompeii As the city of Pompeii faced the historic volcanic eruption, a man, accepting his inevitable death, laid on the ground, and went out doing the most pleasurable way possible. And in God's awesome sense of humor, the volcanic ash preserved the man's body in the glorious position the left the world in.
One time in portal I was messing around with the steps on a set of stairs that falls down and somehow made a rooster noise. I've never been able to do it again.
I haven't thought of the Old Clockworks "Incident" in years, but I remember seeing videos of it leading up to Luigi's Mansion 2's release and being both disturbed and intrigued by it! With how little interest there seems to be in Hacking for Luigi's Mansion 2 I'm not surprised that Data-Miners haven't found anything related to it yet, but I honestly wouldn't bee surprised if some kind of remnant of that Gruesome easter egg was still left in the games files somewhere. Even if the Labcoat and Mystery Object (The bleeding thing) were scrapped all together, I'd bet that the Animation for the Gears along the ceiling being jammed is likely still in their animation Data.

There is a weird orange fish that can be find in 3 diferent ocasions: Behind a dor after the first race in Diesel Dreaming, Inside the first car in Starfishman to the rescue and in the cornfields of the 2nd Plackton Level. I have never found this documented anywere.
3:58 No, those are clearly sparks. They're brighter at the biggest part and have a dimmer "tail," and fade in light intensity as they travel further away from their point of origin. They also get smaller and vanish in midair, because they're sparks which are burning out. The red object looks like a cog or switch or handle of some sort, almost like the part of a fire hydrant that you remove to attach the hose to.
My guess with the lockness Easter egg is that it was probably only ment to spawn when you where far enough away that you wouldn’t be able to tell that its just a black shape, similar to how most pictures of nessy are.
Well for me, I was in a boat when I encountered the egg. It was a few feet away from my boat when it popped up but due to the low brightness lock and the model pretty much blending in with the water I had to do a double take. Took the camera underwater and I was surprised and amazed that what I saw was correct. Nessie/Lochness monster.
Galaxy didn’t expect to get a reply from the man himself, still my guess is that the model itself might just be stored underneath the water and it emerges when certain conditions are met. Maybe when it popped in it was just loading the model, perhaps meaning one of its triggers was activated. Maybe you have to do Something while driving the boat to trigger it.

The first easter egg was probably a historical reference to that dude in Pompeii who decided to do a final wank before going into the darkness. (Not sure if it is from Pompeii)
If you actually look at the gears in the luigi’s mansion Easter egg you can see that the gears were also moving forward to backward but in the other version in was spinning.
This channel is coursed. Every time, when I am not at home, this channel uploads. I've been at home for 12 days straight. And now, the only time I was out, this video happens.
I actually developed a bit of a theory surrounding Entry 4. I believe that E. Gadd had a part in the "Horrifying Incident", hence why he knew of it. If you compare the lab coat of the one in the cogs to E. Gadd's, they're almost identical. What I think happened is that after researching the ghost of the series, E. Gadd went insane and in a quick moment, he pushed an assistant into the cogs, crushing them to death. After he realized what happened, he wanted to try and forget what happened. But the memories keep coming back and he went insane again and constantly tried to trap King Boo to get revenge on all of the ghosts, but King Boo constantly escapes due to being a ghost. He knew that E. Gadd was friends with Mario and Luigi from meeting them in the past in Partners in Time at Thwomp Volcano, (If you don't understand, simply just look it up. That's why we have computers these days.) so King Boo traps Mario in a painting and sends Luigi the winning ticket for the mansion to try and do the same thing to him. But when Luigi meets E. Gadd, that throws a spanner in the works for King Boo's plan. So he waits for Luigi to get all of the Portrait Ghosts and gets to him so that way it would be easier, but as we all know, Luigi saves the day and has an intense rivalry with King Boo. That's my theory on what happened in the Old Clockworks in the beta Footage.

4:45 This was confirmed by a dev to be a leftover from testing. It was set at a high round so they could test the helmet armor. It was cut from the main game but they forgot to disable to trigger at that high round.
Imagine you're the dev and you quickly delete the part thinking only one person has proof of it and nobody will ever see it... Then oddheader puts you in a video.

I found an easter egg in Gears 5 where I used a character specific expression on a different character using something similar to a hidden menu. The easter egg is this: If you go into COG Gear's expression menu and go to the salute expression with a voice line, he will say "No retreat, no surrender, no defeat!" And this is only available to him. But, if you click "go to store" and scroll through characters, you can find Benjamin Carmine. If you use this expression on Benjamin, he will say "Sir, Private Ben Carmine reporting for duty, sir!" This is a reference to Gears of War 2 and can't be used in game. This can be used with other expressions and other characters as well, but this is my favorite.

Except you can tell it's deliberately drop shaped when he zooms in & slows it down. I think the reason it's going in multiple directions is because the thing that's bleeding is being squeezed by the gears so it's squirting instead of just dripping.

Alright, you got a new sub. I'm actually kind of blown away by this, it isn't just the same easter eggs that every other channel has done 1000 times. BTW the red object in Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon could possibly be a gem. It looks to be the same shade of red that the rest of the Old Clockworks gems, and, personally, I do think it looks like one of the gem shapes in the game.
I didn’t play LM2 but it could be a heart or something, it has the same kind of look and could’ve been jammed in the gears, maybe you had to hit it down with something to retrieve it?
@@jamestiberius9637 While I think the red is a bit too muted for the object to be a heart, it could be the meh quality of the footage affecting the color, meaning that it could totally be a heart. It's a shame we don't have better quality footage we can use to figure it out.
I think that it might just be sparks from the gears. In the old clock works there's one mission where you have to fix the gears and you can see the sparks on the gears that you have to fix and it kind of looks identical to the mysterious drips that were shown to us.
@@edgar8376 could be that they were lazy and used a pre-existing dripping animation and edited it to look like sparks and that is why the shape of them is very droplet-esque

I haven't thought of the Old Clockworks "Incident" in years, but I remember seeing videos of it leading up to Luigi's Mansion 2's release and being both disturbed and intrigued by it!
With how little interest there seems to be in Hacking for Luigi's Mansion 2 I'm not surprised that Data-Miners haven't found anything related to it yet, but I honestly wouldn't bee surprised if some kind of remnant of that Gruesome easter egg was still left in the games files somewhere.
Even if the Labcoat and Mystery Object (The bleeding thing) were scrapped all together, I'd bet that the Animation for the Gears along the ceiling being jammed is likely still in their animation Data.
In Spongebob squarepants Creature from the Krusty Krab for: PS2, GC and Wii. There is a weird orange fish that can be find in 3 diferent ocasions: Behind a dor after the first race in Diesel Dreaming, Inside the first car in Starfishman to the rescue and in the cornfields of the 2nd Plackton Level.

They also get smaller and vanish in midair, because they're sparks which are burning out. The red object looks like a cog or switch or handle of some sort, almost like the part of a fire hydrant that you remove to attach the hose to.

My guess with the lockness Easter egg is that it was probably only ment to spawn when you where far enough away that you wouldn’t be able to tell that its just a black shape, similar to how most pictures of nessy are.
Well for me, I was in a boat when I encountered the egg. It was a few feet away from my boat when it popped up but due to the low brightness lock and the model pretty much blending in with the water I had to do a double take. Took the camera underwater and I was surprised and amazed that what I saw was correct. Nessie/Lochness monster.
Galaxy didn’t expect to get a reply from the man himself, still my guess is that the model itself might just be stored underneath the water and it emerges when certain conditions are met. Maybe when it popped in it was just loading the model, perhaps meaning one of its triggers was activated. Maybe you have to do Something while driving the boat to trigger it.

If you actually look at the gears in the luigi’s mansion Easter egg you can see that the gears were also moving forward to backward but in the other version in was spinning.

I've been wanting tha manscapped trimmer for a while and by God if this didn't push me to finally buy it
I actually developed a bit of a theory surrounding Entry 4. I believe that E. Gadd had a part in the "Horrifying Incident", hence why he knew of it. If you compare the lab coat of the one in the cogs to E. Gadd's, they're almost identical. What I think happened is that after researching the ghost of the series, E. Gadd went insane and in a quick moment, he pushed an assistant into the cogs, crushing them to death. After he realized what happened, he wanted to try and forget what happened. But the memories keep coming back and he went insane again and constantly tried to trap King Boo to get revenge on all of the ghosts, but King Boo constantly escapes due to being a ghost. He knew that E. Gadd was friends with Mario and Luigi from meeting them in the past in Partners in Time at Thwomp Volcano, (If you don't understand, simply just look it up. That's why we have computers these days.) so King Boo traps Mario in a painting and sends Luigi the winning ticket for the mansion to try and do the same thing to him. But when Luigi meets E. Gadd, that throws a spanner in the works for King Boo's plan. So he waits for Luigi to get all of the Portrait Ghosts and gets to him so that way it would be easier, but as we all know, Luigi saves the day and has an intense rivalry with King Boo.
That's my theory on what happened in the Old Clockworks in the beta Footage.

All Easters eggs are meant to be found. Just, not soo quickly.
I found an easter egg in Gears 5 where I used a character specific expression on a different character using something similar to a hidden menu. The easter egg is this: If you go into COG Gear's expression menu and go to the salute expression with a voice line, he will say "No retreat, no surrender, no defeat!" And this is only available to him. But, if you click "go to store" and scroll through characters, you can find Benjamin Carmine. If you use this expression on Benjamin, he will say "Sir, Private Ben Carmine reporting for duty, sir!" This is a reference to Gears of War 2 and can't be used in game. This can be used with other expressions and other characters as well, but this is my favorite.
"Loch" is Scots dialect for "Lake" - we call her Nessie.
