- In 2020 I made a video which included the location of George Michael's grave at Highgate Cemetery, which was un-marked at the time. That video went on to get over 2,000,000 views but I wasn't happy with the video as it was rather short and did not include many of the other notable graves at Highgate. In December 2021 a headstone was finaly placed on George Michael's grave and i've now decided to return to make a better video (hopefully!). I still can't believe George is gone forever, one of the world's most talented vocalists and songwriter, an amazing human being, thank you for the music George, I'm so glad I got to see you live in concert.
I know it's hard to believe he's gone so soon.
I find it quite interesting George Michael's sister also, died on a 25 Dec. as he did. And both his sister Melanie, and their mother, died at the age of 59. Thank you for the walk into this rather beautiful and peaceful cemetery. So lush and green. 💖🙏💫

This cemetery is very interesting and beautiful. George Michael and his music are missed.
About 3 years ago I visited the cemetery to see George's resting place only to be told it was out of bounds to members of the public, I was gutted as it had taken me hours to travel there. So instead I went to the pub nearby (can't recall its name) where he used to frequent and had some lunch.
Simple, yet beautiful graves of George, his mother and sister. Peaceful resting place of much loved people 🙏🙏🙏

It's loverly that george and his mum and sister now have headstones to mark their resting places but I do understand why George's dad hesitated to mark their graves but I am so pleased to see that they now have headstones sleep peacefully george love you always ❤️ xxx

Hi, Kris, I have thought about that too. In fact, I just learned of these dates & how they co-mingle. Isn't funny these kinds of things happen? almost kind of wired, Yes! Here's another one for you, His mum's brother died on the day that George was born. I'm not saying I believe this but, the first time I heard the story, I thought "did George carry on with his spirit? It's just a wired thing don't you think? Maybe George lived for him in a way, Lisson to the song. My mother had a brother! I guess It's just a weird kind of coincidence! I'd be interested to hear what you think? 🤔❓ 🕯😇 🕯😇 🕯😇 ✝

He was awesome and so handsome and what a singing voice. George was watching Deal or no deal were a member of the public was taking part to gain money for ivf treatment and George reached out via the programme and paid for the treatment himself and she went on to have a baby boy.

I'm very happy that there are grave markers for our beloved George, Meloine, & MUM Lesley. Still, It is still so bitter-sweet. They're all together now & George also has his love, Anselmo. If there would be anything about their passing for me, It is they haven't had to endure all the tragedy this world has experienced in the last several years! I do think this would have been more than even George could handle. Now their little family up in heaven can rest in peace! You are always & forever in my heart, my sweet George! 🕯😇 🥰💖 TILL THE END OF TIME!

Thanks for showing us around on this famous graveyard! There must be the grave of famous concert pianist Shura Cherkassky too. I have seen a picture of the stone, but don't know the section where he was buried.
I think Cherkassky was buried at Westside of Highgate cemitary. George Michaels grave is at Eastside.
