      for real man. I have been to dozens and dozens of great shows and seen legends and no one fills the room with more electric energy as this man does. He truly is an artist who needs to be seen to be believed...even watching his live performances on TV or here on youtube doesn't even come close to the energy felt watching him live in-person

    Saw him live for the first time in San Antonio at his Maverick Music Festival. I had originally come to see my cousins band open for him ( Toadies). Shameless name drop.They are a hard band to follow here in Texas they literally have their own holiday here. I stood down on the floor side stage for his whole set. When he finished his set and came off stage the whole place erupted . The screaming was so loud my hearing cut out. You could feel the sound waves rushing over you. He walked off stage in front of me with his head down and his hands pulled down over his head to shield him self from the barrage of cheers. To this day nothing like it

      I discovered Gary on the Audience network on DirecTv.....this dude has absolutely blown my mind!!! I don't listen to radio much either. Everything here (southern U.S.....Tennessee to be exact) is either country or that Juston Beiber BS!! This dude is 100% bad ass!!!

    • @snowdjagha
      @snowdjagha 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ron Burgundy Well, that is true. But I think Clark Jr is putting the blues on a spotlight that the Keyes didn't.

    • @snowdjagha
      @snowdjagha 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Ron Burgundy This dude is new. Black Keyes have already years in their career. But Gary Clark is well known.

    • @robertbarrett2262
      @robertbarrett2262 9 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      The reason your just finding out about him is because his career is half that of black keys. Did the black keys blow up as big as gary clark jr by their first full length album? No. Did they get invited to Eric Claptons crossroad when still making their first ep? No black keys have done alot for blues rock but in double the time if not more of gary clark jr. Also I look at keys as more on the rock side of blues then gary clark jr who's more on the side of blues/r and b so comparing them is kind of pointless just like comparing any musicians for that matter

    That...was...awesome. I saw this guy on the Grammy's Salute to The Beatles and went looking. I found some great Blues Rock that needs more airplay and recognition. Seriously, how is it that I didn't know about this guy until last Sunday yet I get no-talent hacks like Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, and all those Disney "starlets" shoved down my throat?! It aint right I tell ya.
