I think the real loss here is missing out on a chase sequence, we don’t get many of those since the Scream 4 opening. Hopefully 6 gives us one in Times Square
This change made this itching gut that I have about Wes possibly survived. I know someone who survived after being stabbed in the neck. Plus, its could have been anticipated by Judy that there’s a possibility of her and Wes being attacked. And in case her son survived, she also told the squad to put him in same and presumed to all non family member that he didn’t made it until the coast is clear and the killer were caught. I just rewatched it now and had that thought. It shows Judy having her body covered. It doesn't show Wes again. I hear someone talking loudly in the background as Sam enters the scene, perhaps a paramedic that says something "is too serious, one (or wound) through his neck"? And then a little bit later after the officer tells Sam "I'm sorry" regarding Wes we can hear this same paramedic? voice say "Just drive. Send him in." When Dewey gets on the scene he only asks about when they found Judy's body. If they could bring back Kirby they could definitely bring Wes back.
I was totally unprepared for Judy's death. I'm still mad about it. She didn't deserve that but she got a great scene. I also felt like Wes died too soon? He was set up as a smart one, he's one of the most recognizable of the new cast, and then he went out the way he did. Still not over it the mother/son death scene.
Definitely would've made Judy seem at least a bit smarter as a character. They really went on the classic horror route of dumbing her down so her death scene can happen lol sheriff runs to the potential murder of her son without a weapon in hand smh
I wouldn't even say dumbing her death down, if anything it's perfect. In their world the cops are the best thing they got besides themselves, they kind of mean something, so seeing the killers capitalize on the best moments is pretty great
@@ot7012 she wasn't dumbed down to begin with, she stayed the exact same from 4, and it's kind of obvious that she just isn't on the same page, she is JUST a cop in this, that's her role for the most part. If anything it was a little obvious to me she was gonna die
@@berserkworkentertainment Am I wrong that's she's the sheriff? Even so, aren't even cops expected to have a weapon in hand at all times (having one in their vehicle is expected I think) especially when murders are literally happening? In a town where multiple serial murders has happened before? And she's a cop who's a mom in said town and has reason to believe that her son's a target. If your point is that she's dumb even in 4 then that we can agree with I guess.
I think Wes' character, and Dylan's acting skills, were very underused in this scene. I think this would've been better, because even when watching the movie I was thinking a cops son would have been more prepped besides pepper spray and a taser. She obviously trusted his judgement and ability to protect himself. I thought he might be trained a little in more hand to hand combat type situations. It would've been a good chase scene and all, and it would've mirrored Tara's attack in a way, which could've hinted at their connection, since we didn't get to see her interact with really any of her friend group besides Amber.
I have issues with it. The alarm security system is great, but they already did that with Tara. Also ghostface flying through the ceiling window like wtf? He’s not batman
I wouldn't mind if they killed off Chad instead of Wes. Wes was the more interesting Character and him coping with his mothers death would be good material for the upcoming movie.
Maybe the whole security system thing would have been too repetitive as we had a similar scenario with Tara at the beginning of movie. It would have made sense though.
Hmmm, idk. Seems more like something out of an action film especially during the day, so I'm glad they didn't go with this. I can see why they didn't do it since the home security thing had already been done in the beginning
I would have preferred Wes Hicks to do a chase scene similar to Sydney in the first movie and Wes to be surrounded by two GhostFaces, he corners Wes and climbs out the window and onto the roof and is shocked to see Wes's dead body his mother and then runs to a tree and jumps on it, but is attacked by ghostface stabbing him twice in the chest and Wes falls into Sam Carpenter's car and Sam screams in fear and grabs Wes's arm with his shirt covered in blood , and sam rips off wes's shirt and presses on the wounds quickly and runs fast until dewey scares sam and wes with sydney's similar ghost face mask. And he takes Wes to the hospital where he is tara. In the third act when Richie and Amber are already revealed as ghostface, he reveals his motive for killing everyone and hopefully, he leads Wes with a very cold face and it is revealed that Wes first found out about Sam's affair because she is the daughter of Billy Loomis and he gets it and tells Sam, "Being a murderer's daughter doesn't define your life, it changes it." and attacks Richie and Amber and Wes gives Gale a shotgun and shoots Amber with the shotgun. He would have preferred that, that Wes would survive and take care of Sam and Tara like his big brother, but he met the same fate as Casey Becker. Although the corpse has not been revealed, it may be missing or dead, we will see what happens in Scream 6.
I like this version better but even though she wasn’t smart as a sheriff and even with a home security system, I just don’t find it believable in the midst of another round of ghostface attacks she’d let Wes ever be alone whether at home or driving himself around. Maybe the characters aren’t supposed to be that self aware and I’m thinking with viewer instincts, but it all seemed like a reach for me.
I get what people are saying that it sounds better but I think we got the version we needed. The killer this time round is likely Amber, who in a one to one fight would risk being over powered by Wes, even Ritchie might struggle. One things I liked about scream is that on the whole it keeps the kills realistic to who is committing them - same with Scream 3 and Cottons death, the alternative version didn’t work because Cotton was far bigger than Roman and there was a point he could of easily finished him off so they changed it so Cotton got hit in the head with a golf club first then got unlucky
Honestly, this gave me the idea of a scream movie having two killers, but one of them is actually killed by one of the characters. As if Wes was able to fight back and kill them. Police begin investigating that killer to come up empty and leaving them as a solo killer. Just for the kids to believe that their is a second. Adding a twist and also paranoia to the second half of the film.
So, I’m rereading the script. This is verbatim “ON TV- The scene where RANDY (a 1997 Seth Green) is drunk on the couch, watching ‘Halloween’. In the movie Jamie Lee Curtis sneaks through the house, menaced by Michael Myers…” there’s no way this is the original script.
This is just my opinion on it, but it seems to me that they wanted to have an all-ethnic cast for the core 4 protagonists moving forward in these movies, no white character this time.
The friends didn’t even care about their deaths. Only one of the actual killers out a banner up an excuse to have a party. She probably premade the banner For Wes.
Ehhh. I think we already a gun kill (that lands pretty well). I will say, I wish they would have edited the scenes together so that Judy racing home and Wes setting up for dinner happened simultaneously. It would have added to the suspense.
What they could have done to was have both ghostface's came after so while he would be putting up a great fight against one it make it easier for the other one to sneak up on him
I think the original death would be very similar to the first scene with Tara regarding the security systems and it would be kinda lame to see it again considering they were the second and third kill of the movie. Also, correct me if I am wrong but ghostface has never killing anyone with a gun so it is not Scream without seeing a knife. I felt REALLY bad with the actual scene because Wes was preparing the dishes and everything for her mom so that gave it a little more personal approach. So, opposite to most people, I pref the actual scene we got.
The scrapped version sounds a thousand times better than what we got. Other than the call to Judy and her stabbing in broad daylight, the scene we got wasn't really all that well executed.
Wes should have lived to fight back for what happened to his mom. Such a shame. Good character development gone to waste. One of the worst in my opinion that and Dewey being killed. Ugh
This sounds better, but still underwhelming. The issue in Scream 2022 when it comes to the kills, is how unbelievable they are. I mean really, 2 trained officers that worked up to sheriff and the son of a sheriff, get killed off easily by two horror geeks? I think Dewey's death should've been a sacrifice for his child with Gale as he takes out one of the killers by tackling them through one of the higher floors of the hospital to stop them from getting his child, leading to an emotional scene as Dewey dies in his child's arms when Gale arrives. Judy on the other hand, should've had a brutal physical fight with the other killer when they go after her son. Judy should use all the weapons she had hidden in her home against the killer, leaving them wounded with a pistol technique that Dewey taught her as she's left wounded long enough for Wes to find her. This way these veteran level officers aren't just being taken out like amateurs by horror geeks and their encounters actually have purpose as well as impact, showing them to be parents who'll protect their kids with their lives and experience.
Knowing this information really makes me disappointed in the last Scream movie. Like Scream 4, the producers played it safe. Dylan would have "slaughtered" this scene. This scene would have been in alignment with the open scene with Tara. I had very little complaints about the last movie. My number one complaint was that the pacing felt uneven. The time between Sam being attacked at the hospital to Judy/ Wes being killed was a slow point.
They should have made judy remove the mask from ghostface without revealing the killer to the audience kinda like Casey removing the mask from the killer in scream 1.
this scene would make sooo much more sense because wes being the first kill of the friend group never made as much sense to me. like it just always made more sense for him to be better prepared. just from his first scene alone i had assumed he'd survive to the end or be one of the last ones to get killed. even if things still played out the same way and he was the first kill in the friend group i would have much preferred this scene where he doesn't at least go down without some sort of fight. i wanted to see his character be explored more in the movie and i hate that he wasn't.
ALSO THE FACT THAT HE NEVER ACTUALLY GOES OUTSIDE AND SEES JUDY MAKES ME SO SAD BC HE PROBABLY DIED THINKING OF HOW CRUSHED SHE MIGHT HAVE BEEN. AND THE SAME FOR JUDY SHE PROBABLY THOUGHT HE'D SURVIVE AND BE SAD KNOWING SHE DIED
i will say one thing about this scene is that my first thought on the first watch was that judy dying in broad daylight made ghostface more scary like damn this ghostface really doesn't give a fuck about being seen he might want someone to see
Honestly, although the deleted scene seems much more scary and tense, I think I like the scene in the released movie better because I think the whole “electronic voice” of the house might have been overdone from the opening scene with Tara. I understand why the went with the scene that they did. Just my opinion though
The scrapped scene also would have had more of a chase scene feel which old scream movies were notorious for, the deaths in this scream 5 felt so fast and short it left way less of an impact in my opinion compared to the fight for survival the old movies use to give us
I like both of Wes' deaths, but since he didn't put up much of a fight in the 1 we got, I like the alternate scene better & the build-up better. I'll take the neck stabbing over him getting shot, though.
Given Dylan was famous from 13 reasons why it was again Repeated what drew Barrymore did that just because he's a popular actor doesn't mean he's gonna survive.
I have one question here, why didn't Wes use his pepper spray after smashing the plate on the killer's head? Pretty sure the netting over the eyes won't protect their eyes from pepper spray, but I suppose that would actually show how dumb these horror geeks are for going after the sheriff and her son.
Yeah That Was Richie who.. 1. Killed Vince. 2. Attacked Sam At the Hospital. 3. Killed Wes. 4. Attacked Mindy. It Was Confirmed That Richie Killed Vince And Wes, Attacked Mindy.

I literally cried when Wes was killed!! I love him
Wow, that would have been great!! Thank you for sharing this!!
Would love you to cover more of the scripts we never got to see? What about the unmade scream 3 script thay kevin Williamson made?
I think Wes' character, and Dylan's acting skills, were very underused in this scene. I think this would've been better, because even when watching the movie I was thinking a cops son would have been more prepped besides pepper spray and a taser. She obviously trusted his judgement and ability to protect himself. I thought he might be trained a little in more hand to hand combat type situations. It would've been a good chase scene and all, and it would've mirrored Tara's attack in a way, which could've hinted at their connection, since we didn't get to see her interact with really any of her friend group besides Amber.
Shoo that sounds suspenseful! Would have loved seeing that! Damn bro! Gave me the first Sidney ghost face attack vibes
thank you for your videos, you are so appreciated!
Wauw, that would be more terrifying!!! Is it filmed and deleted? Wanna see it!
I did read that one of RS has said That Judy pulled the GF mask That's why she had that look
Judy and Wes would've been great characters to carry into future installments.
I have issues with it. The alarm security system is great, but they already did that with Tara. Also ghostface flying through the ceiling window like wtf? He’s not batman
He's a ghosr, ghosts fly!
Also he kills him with a gun. No thanks
@@jeffcunningham0389 why more gore from the blood splatter with blood and flesh on the wall
@@grahamrawlins6431 no thank you. Ghostface kills with his signature knife. Not tryna see him use guns. That would take away from the character
@@jeffcunningham0389 If you really think that, that you would hate 6 because Ghostface uses a shotgun.
wes had one of the best deaths in scream 5 and this original death of wes sounds cool
Judy was really a throw away character in this movie she should have had a bigger role in the movie but oh well.
I really wish this was kept in Wes wouldve been like the guy Tatum Riley, chase , uses a glass weapon to escape, killed by their exit plan.
I wish Wes and Judy survived. Judy was the only character introduced in Scream 4 that was in 5. At least we got Kirby in 6
Kirby was in 5
Hearing this... sounds way better! And a chase scene would have really refreshing
I think the security system faulting would be too much like Tara's scene in the beginning where it keeps locking and unlocking.
I actually tipped Wes as one of the killers before the movie came out. Boy was I wrong there..
Love the video!!
I wouldn't mind if they killed off Chad instead of Wes. Wes was the more interesting Character and him coping with his mothers death would be good material for the upcoming movie.
WHY WOULD THEY REMOVE THE ONLY CHASE SCENE IN THE MOVIE.
The shower scene with a male hottie in a horror movie is APPRECIATED.
Plus it was a reference to psycho so yeah that scene was a win-win lol
If would have been much scarier if it played out like this in the film.
The background music and the way hes talking sounds like a short documentary
Wes and Judy’s death really bothered me. I guess that was the point, but they should have at least gotten to live until Scream 6.
I'm watching his death scene right now
I like the version we got. The previous version sounds too much like Tara’s opening scene with the security system alerts
I wish Wes survived. He was far more likeable than the other characters.
I wanted Judy and Wes to survive. I would have liked for Wes to be the “final” boy.
I will die on the “Wes should’ve lived” hill
Omg this would have been insane and one of the best of the series!! WTACTUALFFFFFF?!?!?
beyond the mask do you know how can i find the extended version of scream 2022 is available with judy and wes deleted scene death
If Wes was director Judy would of survived
That would have been an interesting detail
Could have been a nice nod to halloween 18
Judy's mistake was ever leaving in the first place
The original idea was replaced with ……….Wes setting up the table for Sushi night!?!?!!
It’s not really a deleted scene when it was never filmed. This was one of the many drafts
They should have made judy remove the mask from ghostface without revealing the killer to the audience kinda like Casey removing the mask from the killer in scream 1.
So you’re telling me they cut out the only chase scene this movie could’ve had and he actually put up more of a fight in this version??? I’m annoyed
this scene would make sooo much more sense because wes being the first kill of the friend group never made as much sense to me. like it just always made more sense for him to be better prepared. just from his first scene alone i had assumed he'd survive to the end or be one of the last ones to get killed. even if things still played out the same way and he was the first kill in the friend group i would have much preferred this scene where he doesn't at least go down without some sort of fight. i wanted to see his character be explored more in the movie and i hate that he wasn't.
ALSO THE FACT THAT HE NEVER ACTUALLY GOES OUTSIDE AND SEES JUDY MAKES ME SO SAD BC HE PROBABLY DIED THINKING OF HOW CRUSHED SHE MIGHT HAVE BEEN. AND THE SAME FOR JUDY SHE PROBABLY THOUGHT HE'D SURVIVE AND BE SAD KNOWING SHE DIED
i will say one thing about this scene is that my first thought on the first watch was that judy dying in broad daylight made ghostface more scary like damn this ghostface really doesn't give a fuck about being seen he might want someone to see
I think his character was a lot more interesting than Mindy's brother, idk why they kept him alive 💀
Judy gave serious penny wise vibes in scream 4 😂
@MonsterClash76 She was in both movies.
It sounds like a cool scene, but I prefer the knife to the neck kill and the slow build.
Given Dylan was famous from 13 reasons why it was again Repeated what drew Barrymore did that just because he's a popular actor doesn't mean he's gonna survive.
I consider this a better version of the scene but I still think he lived. It’s just a movie, anything is possible.
I felt wes should have lived so he could get justice for his mom's death in scream 6. That would have been dope.
fr
I felt bad about all the deaths cause I liked all the characters, great movie
Personally, Wes’ death made no sense to me. He was smart than this…
I preferred what is in the film. It was very impactful and tragic.
I have one question here, why didn't Wes use his pepper spray after smashing the plate on the killer's head? Pretty sure the netting over the eyes won't protect their eyes from pepper spray, but I suppose that would actually show how dumb these horror geeks are for going after the sheriff and her son.
Was this filmed?
Yeah That Was Richie who..
1. Killed Vince.
2. Attacked Sam At the Hospital.
3. Killed Wes.
4. Attacked Mindy.
It Was Confirmed That Richie Killed Vince And Wes, Attacked Mindy.
