Just keep playing and watch for habits from players online.
Another that helped me was saving matches that I lost and rewatching them. It helped me realize what moves I was spamming and what made me predictable.
Basically, it made it easier for me to see what my opponents saw when I versed them.

- set items to high
- ONLY turn on fake smash balls
- the rest of the rules stay the same (competitive)
you try to fight while dodgin multiple floating bombs
That wont really work. There can only be 1 fake smash ball at a time and they only spawn like once every X amount of seconds

Great cave offensive is genuinely such a good stage, the detail is amazing it's probably my favourite stage!
It would have to be an arena or an offline match, since quickplay doesn't let you pick a stage

I used to just passively watch every now and then but you've definitely become one of my favourite smash youtubers.
Gundam Ruleset:
- Gun and Rocket Belt items only (set to HIGH)
- 100 HP Stamina mode
- 2 stocks, 3:00 timer
- Preferred stages: Big Blue, Mute City, Mario Circuit, Pilot Wings, Spirit Train (Normal Mode, Hazards on)
Sekushi You can’t chose stages or specific items on online man. How many of you guys have played quick play before lol
Ruleset idea:
~Play as far as you can away from wifi
~Hazards off
~3 stocks with 7 minutes
~and fin-wait this is just a normal match

I think that is just about the worst ruleset I can think of. You have the jank of 75 M with Hazards, have to live(die) through at least 5 stocks, will die fairly quickly but not instant. And have sticky bombs that become an additional hazard should you even try to play on the ruleset.

I don't see the point of this "preferred" option. I never get what I want. I'm always getting battlefield layout stages, FS meter on, Pokéballs & Assit Trophy's only.
This and GSP are the exact reasons why I want For Glory back
Ok, so having experimented, this is the worst ruleset usable:
-1 stock
-300 Hp Stamina mode
-No items
-Meter ON (important)
Characters Favored: Ones with a Final Smash that can KO. With the relatively set knock back of Stamina also applying to grabs, I think Game and Watch is best for this, but Ness, Pac-Man, and Luigi are good too.

try to outtime the enemy and your only allowed to *kill* him on sudden death
Ralsai you can’t do 1 min online
*1 Stock, Items on, Stage Hazards on, Final Smash Meter and Ball.*
AND YOU MUST SPAM PK FIRE WITH NES!!! This is the Ultimate Shit Experience.

Option 1: Find a friend and go double pit/darkpit, double palutena or one of each and just use Neutral B at the start of every round
Option 2: Both of you go fox and the one in front uses reflector for any potential ranged threats while the other spams lasers
