- I turned off Preferred Rules for Quick Play on Smash Ultimate! This was actually mad fun and kind of reminded me of For Fun from Smash 4, but so much better. Anyhow, hope you enjoy!

I mean it no longer forces you to do FFA if you put down 1v1 that is all you will be doing. It's just the rare items and maps that pop up at low gsp

Every time I get 100k or less to elite smash I drop the character and get a new main... I have no clue why but I now have like 20 characters who I have gotten really close to elite smash now

Preferred rules can (most of the time) be more fun than Elite Smash and competitive rules.

You might want to do it again. You get more GSP fighting 4 people if you come 1st but you also lose more when you come 4th. High risk high reward.

The best preferred rules is 2v2 with only item being the super flag that gives you another stock if you can hold it long enough. It’s shrprisngly fun

The problem with Elite Smash is that even with preferred rules ON, I still sometimes get put with people who have items on, play on stages with hazards and bosses, and overall are just casuals. It's irritating.

Well, that's okay. It doesn't make much of a difference either way. You still get items, no matter what.
Not gonna lie, that 4 player extra stocks mode seems like a pretty fun game mode to play with friends.

Can't tell what's worse, a 1v1 stamina battle against a little Mac, or a 1 stock 1v1 with items against a scummy Samus, which has no honor, both of which I ran into consecutively with preferred rules on, then I ended up in a 4v4
I used to play like this when smash first came out, thankfully other elite smashers usually picked 1v1 no items so it wasnt that bad

When I was playing Smash Ultimate with my friends, I didn’t know who tf to play.
I was so used to SSB4, and its roster.
I chose Incineroar.
I used his normal moveset.
They said I spammed (though I was fond of trapping with side-b).
I went Cloud, who I was used to since SSB4.
I was blamed for spam yet again, though, again, I was using his normal moveset, but unlike Incineroar, I wasn’t fond of any particular move.
I no longer play Smash Ultimate with my friends.
