all those badass parts and you still have the crappy oil to coolant heat exchanger on the oil filter housing. wtf! ditch that junk.
Replace it with what? I ask because I'm a about 2 weeks from fully finishing my engine rebuild. All performance parts, 2.0 stroker etc
@@jaredd8473 dont replace it with anything. All it is, is a heat exchanger for cold weather. Its designed to get the oil temp up to temperature faster by using the coolant that is circulating from the block through the bypass hoses before the thermostat opens up. It is not needed unless u live in a cold climate and you are starting the car early in the morning and driving it right away before the car gets up to 210 degrees. If you are concerned about the truth that has been presented to you just now, then go buy a real oil cooler and a filter sandwhich plate with 10 an fittings and install an oil cooler instead a cold weather heat exchanger. And by the way i work on vw cars almost every day. I can tell you this. Those oil and water exchangers leak all the time. So if you dont mind coolant in your oil later on while you run that awsome motor you built then by all means leave it on there.
You got discord or IG? I got a few questions mane
