The big touchscreen puts the relevant capabilities of your smartphone front and center on your dash, making it easier to keep your eyes on the road than hooking up your phone in a holder. The BE10ACP also sports something that most car stereos these days don't - a volume knob. Seems like a decent unit. I had a boss head unit few years ago and the sound quality was horrible. This one looks more adjustable
Boss is a budget radio brand. I put a boss double din in my 87 suburban only because the fact I wanted a touchscreen on the cheap. If I wanted sound quality I would’ve went with a pioneer or something.
Just put mine in. It’s a nine inch. The swivel function is GREAT

very informative video! I just finished the install this weekend in my '15 Chevy Traverse. One question I have is that when I search for stations it seems to scan the entire frequency spectrum -- even when I have strong signals -- is there some trick to doing this? I made favorites and they work fine but it seems that when scanning for the next available station it should find something. Overall I really like the radio. Carplay is working great.

Do you think the 2019 Chevy express van’s OEM camera will plug into the back? If so, I might try to reroute my camera cable to be an in vehicle baby cam since I’m installing the 3rd brake backup camera
Does the backup camera display on the rear view mirror in your Express van? If it does, we will not have adapters to change its wiring so it can be displayed on an aftermarket radio

When used with the Scosche GM5216B kit in the 2015 Equinox, will this sit flush or will it poke out?
Hi Karis, we don't currently have a good kit match for installing the Boss BE10ACP in the Equinox. For any vehicle though, you'd want to make sure the screen will not interfere with your vehicle's factory equipment on the dash. The touchscreen monitor measures 10.25" (w) x 6.5625" (h) x 4.125" (d).

I just bought this stuff..i like it but i am having hard time to connect the carplay..everytime i used it cut it off/stop i keep unplugged it then after 5 min..it’s stop again..how i can fix it???
Did you buy it from Crutchfield? Our tech support can help troubleshoot the issue if so! Also, have you tried resetting with the reset pin hole on the right side of the unit? Doing that will reset your settings but can fix common issues!

I have a 2016 Kia Forte LX with volume control on my steering wheel, would I be able to control the volume along with the skip with my steering wheel with this type of receiver?
That steering wheel radio control interface does work in your vehicle and with this receiver! It will be able to allow you both of those types of control
Question - I've been trying to figure out clearance on this concerning the bottom and top of the screen when it comes to other items on the dash. When the screen is pushed all the way up, is the bottom flush with the bottom of the part that is built into the dash or does it hang below it? And when the screen is pushed all the way down, is it flush with the top of the part in the dash? Just trying to figure out if I'm going to have to pull the screen whenever I need to access the dash above or below it.
The screen is essentially level with the bottom of the radio's chassis when it is pushed all the way up. When it is pushed all the way down, the top of the screen will be a little higher than the top of the radio's chassis. What would i need to keep steering wheel controls in my 2018 Honda Civic Hatch… ive had it installed works great but miss my wheel controls…. Also how would i be able to comnect the AV to my Phone?
This receiver can work with some of the steering wheel radio control interfaces we offer. We need to check which ones, if any, are known to work in your Civic. Which sub-model Civic Hatchback do you have (i.e. EX, LX, Sport, etc..)?
As for connecting to your phone, this receiver can do that through its USB port and run either Apple CarPlay or Android Auto with the phone connected to that port.

This radio and currently, all the radios we offer do not have the ability to record video from cameras connected to them.
Will the screen come on if you plug it in after you start the car? I know it does on the 7 inch and for some reason it does not on the 9 inch. screen must be attached before you start the car on the 9 inch or it will stay black.
It is best to attach the screen before starting your vehicle.

Hello, I've had my Bossbe10acp installed in my car for 3 years and now all of a sudden the screen stays on the loading screen. The backup camera works sometimes. Other times the unit is just black. I've reset the unit and that won' fix the problem. What could it be?

I just wish they offered HD Radio on their models . Currently none of them have it .

It can be installed into your RAV4. Are you asking if this radio can be installed so that a factory installed Aux audio input can be retained?

It requires a USB connection between your iPhone and the receiver in order to use the Apple CarPlay features.
So I have the same radio but mine turns on everything works sound works and everything but the screen is black how do I fix that
There is a reset pinhole button under the bottom right of the screen--have you tried that? Also, did happen to purchase it from Crutchfield? If so then our tech support can help you troubleshoot the problem!
Does it accept AHD backup cameras? I’ve seen some reviews saying the backup camera video is very pixelated.
We cannot guarantee compatibility with cameras that have 1080P resolution with the Boss BE10ACP radio. If you are concerned about picture quality and want a clear reverse image with your Boss radio, the Boyo VTK601HD below offers 720P resolution and works well with the Boss radio!

It does not have a HPF but it does have an adjustable LPF linked to the subwoofer preamp output
I installed this and when i plug in my iphone xr on ios 15.6 into the usb plug it says unsupported usb, but carplay and bluetooth work just fine

It is not possible to play videos from an iPhone (or any smartphone) on this receiver. A receiver that supports iPhone mirroring is needed to do that and here is a link to the models that can mirror an iPhone:

It requires a wired USB connection between the iPhone and stereo for Apple CarPlay.

Is it a factory Rear Seat Entertainment System? Did your truck come with Bose or factory nav?
@@crutchfield yes it’s factory navigation, Bose, and rear entertainment. I read with the pac interface I can keep the rear screen and wireless headphones but it might only work with the a/v input in the rear if there is no video out from the head unit.
This receiver does not have an A/V output. We checked and installation parts do exist that will allow a new receiver with an A/V output to work with the factory installed rear seat entertainment system. We checked the receivers that can fit, have the floating screen like this one and an output for the rear seat system and found this Pioneer model that can work:

iDatalink is a manufacturer of some vehicle installation parts and sometimes, the only gear available to replace the radio. They are not always able to work with any radio and often require a radio with an iDatalink port because of the more custom integration that must be done.
It sounds like your vehicle is one of them that requires a more custom install of the radio which is often to maintain select factory controls/displays. We can check. What is the year of your Durango?

The BCPA10RC is a version we do not carry. While similar, you do get the 5-year warranty on the Boss BE10ACP, when you purchase it here.
How do you switch between Apple car play and blue tooth steaming? When I ty this I get a message "Disconnect car play".. Where and how as this seems to be a problem without unhooking the wired apple play connection???
Bluetooth hands-free phone and wireless music streaming cannot be used while Apple CarPlay is being used with a connected iPhone so you'll need to unplug your phone from the USB to use those Bluetooth features.
So, what if you drive a manual? Will the screen know if I’m in park or in reverse?
The radio connects to the parking brake wire, and the revers light trigger. So yes!
If you drive a manual, there is no “park”, pal. 😂 But, yes, to answer your question, the back up camera needs to be wired to your reverse lights and it will come on automatically.
You should still have a parking brake, sometimes called e-brake.
Would this fit in a 1996 class C Chevy RV
Sorry, we have not researched that vehicle. That means we have no fit info or installation items for it. The single-DIN (2") source unit would fit most vehicles with a kit. From there, you'd want to make sure the floating 10.1" touchscreen monitor won't interfere with anything on your dash. The touchscreen monitor measures 10.25" (w) x 6.5625" (h) x 4.125" (d).

Hi Jacqueline, we do show the chassis on the Boss BE10ACP is a good fit for your Honda. You will want to take a look at the monitor fit to check for possible interference with your dash and controls. The monitor dimensions are 10.25" x 6.5625".
I’ve narrowed it down to 2 units. I want one with a volume knob. Either the Sony XAV-AX1000 or the boss be10cp.
I much prefer the interface, layout and design of the boss, but am wondering whether the sony will have better sound quality?
The boss has 3 pre outs @ 4v, whereas the sony has them @ 2v.
I’ve however heard that the big brand units will always have better audio processing.
These are going in a car to power some kicker component speakers up front (6.5) and 6x9s in the back. Also have a 4 channel amp outputting 100w rms per channel.
If you can still find the Sony receiver (Sony discontinued it and we sold out of all the units we had), you could use a line driver with it so that you get the best sound from the radio as well as the amp. Here's one that would work:

Mine only plays my CarPlay for a few minutes then cuts off. Any way to fix that?

How?
The stereo has a dedicated reverse wire that will need to be connected to the vehicle's reverse light circuit. This allows the stereo to automatically switch to its reverse camera input whenever the vehicle is in reverse.

Most units do have the rear USB inputs these days to accommodate a larger screen size.
Can you add/upload apps ?
The apps aren't actually built into the radio, once you have your phone plugged into the USB it will mirror certain apps from your phone onto the screen.
Does this have screen mirroring?
It supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, but it does not offer screen mirroring capability.

That should automatically be played through the speakers in your audio system. If you are able to hear those other sources, this will need some troubleshooting to resolve. Can you add satellite radio?
The Boss BE10ACP does not support SXM control. If you're like help choosing another option with that feature, please let us know.
Soo you won’t be able to listen/watch TH-cam videos while driving ?
Touchscreen receivers like this require a connection to the vehicle's parking brake, which prohibits watching video on the receiver's screen while the vehicle is in motion.

Yes, that connection will be required on older model trucks too.
Unfortunately, we don't carry that same Boss camera separately, but your Boss head unit will work with any of the universal rear-view cameras.

Hi Joshua, the Boss Elite BE10ACP does not support movie playback from phones. It does feature a rear-panel AV input which consists of a composite video jack and stereo RCA jacks for connecting an external portable audio/video source.

Mirroring a phone is the necessary technology to get those apps to display on a receiver. This receiver does not have the ability to mirror a phone. We can recommend one that can mirror a smartphone so those apps can be displayed on the receiver's screen. Which type of smartphone would be used to run those apps?

Will be going into a "1994 ACURA LEGEND 2DOOR COUPE". Radio has room for a single din, or a double din. Can't wait to hear back from you. Thanks you guy 🤗

The Boss Elite BE10ACP features a rear-panel AV input which consists of a composite video jack and stereo RCA jacks for connecting an external portable audio/video source.

So on a older vehicle will I have to wire cam to the brake lights or to a accessorie and the unit will somehow no I'm reversing
This Boss BE10ACP radio and other touchscreens will have a reverse trigger wire that automatically selects the reverse camera when you shift into reverse, Jay. This wire needs to be connected to the reverse light circuit of your vehicle. This makes for easy operation and use of your backup camera!
