i have a cadillac dts 2009 with the bose system can i add this in? if the depth is too much can i remove part of the car in the back behind the stereo to fit it ?
The Sony XAV-AX8500 receiver is too deep to fit into the dash of your 2009 Cadillac DTS. Looking at the area behind the radio on your vehicle in our Research Guide, it appears as though it could be difficult to modify. @ 2011. Factory receiver plays DVDs. I’m assuming with a digital receiver I’ll have to plug in a fire stick or a remote dvd player. I’m assuming the Sony system doesn’t have apps like an android based system.
This Sony receiver does not have built-in apps. It will not be able to be the video source played on a rear seat entertainment system. But if you get a dual zone receiver that has a DVD player, then that radio can run CarPlay while sending the DVD signal to the rear seat system.
The Sony XAV-AX8500 digital multimedia receiver is outfitted with a rear-panel micro-HDMI input for connection of an external audio/video source device (such as a DVD or Blu-ray player) with an HDMI output. The micro-HDMI input can also be used to mirror the display and audio of a compatible Apple iPhone or Android smartphone with adaptors.
Unfortunately, it doesn't look like it's a recommended fit for the 2007 CR-V. Are you considering any other options? Are there specific features you consider a "must have"?
No, that part of the monitors adjustments cannot be locked. Also, those movements are not easily made as they require both hands to adjust. This was intentionally made so the monitor stays in place while driving

If the screen was on par with its competition I would buy it straight away. 720p for such a quality deck is abit of a joke. The Alipne Halo screens are insane and Kenwood too, but the Kenwood is double din. Shame.
@@The_MEMEphis center console is tiny cause its early 2000’s even if the screen is pushed back it’s still gonna look odd. If it’s pushed inwards it looks better I have it on my 07 Toyota suv
@@sumguy4130 It's completely incoherent with the rest of the dash That's the main problem it's the fact that it's not flush having it stick out looks janky it just looks like you slapped a tiny TV in your car dash
It's a shame it has such MASSIVE bezels. I would be willing to upgrade to a screen of this size if the bezels were thin and clean, but this think just looks tacky and ugly. I expect better out of Sony. The screen also appears to be a cheap LCD display instead of OLED, which is also super disappointing and means its going to be dim in daylight and super brught at night. Not ideal.

My sierra has a factory rear screen. Is there a way to play a video on that rear and have CarPlay or navigation on the head unit at the same time?

they did not set the receiver correctly it can be custom set horizontally vertically also can be set deeper inside the dash or outside
