I have the same shelves. You can flip the shelf upside down so the wire part is on the top. Then you can hang your lights on a flat surface. 😊👍
Good work! 😊 I use mineral turpentine to remove sticky residue from everything, even orchid's labels. After i wipe it with mineral turpentine, i disinfect labels with rubbing alcohol. 😊
I went and purchased this cabinet. I absolutely love it. I got the desk to match. This is going to work out great. On your suggestion, I got the lights. I am just waiting for them to come in from Amazon. I think it looks great! Before my orchids were on those wooden plant stands and looked dull. Now I have something that will make them stand out. I also have more space. So I kind of ordered some more orchids as well. I need to fill up the shelves : )

@@MissOrchidGirl I installed the shelving and the lights. They look fabulous! I think my family is sick of hearing about them 😆. I have a transcendia nanouk plant that I also have on the shelf and the color is amazing. Pictures and video just do not do it justice.
Hi Dani, you can use WD-40 to take off the label. Just spray some on it and wait a bit and scrub it off, I use it all the time. Good luck! BTW it looks awesome! 💚🌿
Tip: Use a hair dryer to soften the hot melt adhesive and these stickies come off easily.

I have been using the metal ikea shelves with the oval shaped holes in the shelves since I saw them on your channel a few years ago (Dont remember the ikea name). They're not perfect but they look nice and the plants sit flat and dont wobble on wires! That's a big issue for me because I have three young cats. I'm glad you like your new shelves!
I really love the barina lights, I’ve purchased so many. Even 4 foot growlights for sprouting seedlings! Now I want to mix in some of the yellows!
How long have you had them? I need to get some under-shelf lights and single bulbs to supplement light for houseplants in the dim parts of my house!

I have the same set up with same barrina lights and I have 2 strips per shelf and works well for my Phalaenopsis orchids and even some of my mini dendrobium Phalaenopsis
For sticker put acétone and voilà ! Ils magic.
Maybe try flipping the unstickable-glass over and putting the Command Strips on the "new" side. Maybe there is a manufactures applied coating that is resisting the adhesive.

You can buy a heavy magnetic shelf covering from HSN. I did get them for my Origami shelves. They’re great.

I just put mine together, but they have changed it a bit since this video. I only made one minor mistake, and it was an easy fix. My Barina lights are next.
I did the exact same thing a few months back! Great minds think alike :)
You can rotate the glass so the sticker is in the left rear corner then place a pot over it.
I wonder what needed editing out? A surprise cameo? Lol

I love this set up and would really like to create it in my grow space as well but sadly the shelf only has 15 3/8” spaces in between shelves and I need at least 22” spaces. Maybe I can just use the same lights with my existing shelves. Thank you for another great video!
For stickers, use peanut-butter!!! It is the best! Put it on and leave it for five minutes, and boom, it's off!
I discovered two videos you’ve done on Barrina grower lights just after purchasing another brand (more expensive) with a lower PAR value and that ugly red/blue/ purple color. Oh well, it’s never too late and sometimes mistakes cost a bit. So I am going to buy four-foot versions of these Barrina lights to fit on my longer wire shelves. But I have a question about your light color choices. In another video I understood you paired the full-spectrum yellow-pink lights with the redder ones (I may be wrong, but that’s how I remember). In this one you recommended the full-spectrum yellow-pink ones together with the cool white ones. Which combo do you find works best for your orchids? Also do you choose the cool white ones just to off-set the color of the full-spectrum ones aesthetically or do you think the bluer color helps the orchids more than an all full-spectrum setup would? Want to be clear before I order this time. I cannot tell you how helpful I find your videos. Thank you!

I have been looking for a shelf to put in my bedroom. Because my cattleya‘s were on the floor last year, now outside on the porch. I don’t want them on the floor come winter.
Kind of gooey, but Mayonnaise spread onto stickers will dissolve the glue (If it's not one of those shiny plastic type stickers). They just wipe off after a bit.
why not use the edges of the shelving units for the zip ties?

You could of gotten clear plenty’s glass cuts done for the complete shelf size.would, for those that have them, complete cutout wouldn’t of been ugly.

Off topic question: In the past few days, I have noticed the roots of my phalaenopsis orchid have turned a little brown. However only the top of the roots and the ones that stick up in the air. The roots within the substrate are healthy and green looking. Could it be sunburn? Over or under watering? It is just starting to grow a new flower spike and I don’t want to lose it! :( thanks!
Sunburn and under watering will show up in the leaves before the roots. Sunburn will kill a leaf very quickly and under watering will make them floppy and soft.
Are the brown roots mushy? If it’s just discolored, but still firm and otherwise healthy, it might be the water or fertilizer. I have brown on the tops of my roots from hard water and over fertilizing, but it’s ok, they survived!

Eucalyptus oil will remove any label, glue, gum etc. and it's antiseptic.
