A little known fact is that the Toads that get blasted out of Peach's Castle by the thunder cloud during the intro cutscene of New Super Mario Bros. are actually Toadsworth clones. They are so far off in the distance that you could not tell, though.

note; japan version of super mario bros 2 on the 8-4 is appearance 7 toads.
I think most western audiences hate Lost Levels because we suck at it. In Japan, it was fun due to the challenge in it. They say challenge, we say near impossible.
The fact that toad appears just in the intro of Super Paper Mario and it's the las Catch Card in the game it's funny considering how the next game used Toads everywhere XDdd

Why I you putting new super Mario bros ds
It’s important to keep in mind that ‘hardest’ character =\= ‘worst’ character. Toad’s definitely the hard mode of SMB2 but his speed makes him the top choice in speed runs.
And he’s also the best character in super Mario run as well since he can pretty much win toad rallies for free against anyone who isn’t using him if you master him! Only weakness is that he’s again the hardest character and dies in one hit. But that’s something you have complete control over.
You forgot about all the mario karts and mario partys
