I chose the 2024 GMC terrain SLT. Mostly because it had the Heads Up Display. My wife had a 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP that had the heads up display. She loved it. Now she is happy again. btw, the sticker on the Terrain was $37,605, about the same as the equinox RS. She also hates black wheels.
I looked at both and wound up buying a 2024 Equinox LT, and I love it. The same dealer has Chevy, GMC and Buick, so I was able to look at all compact SUVs
I just bought the 2019 Chevy Equinox midnight edition. I love the size and how sleek it looks. The affordability is what persuaded me to get it over the Terrain.
i agree when i rented terrain i was looking for the gear shift , i was like searching for a minute, i didn't like buttons as well. But ride wise terrain is awesome smooth, overall, i would buy it .
I totally agree with you that the only real downside of the Terrain, which I leased two (2015 & 2018) is the button shifter! If the Terrain had a traditional shifter and stop / start deactivation I would be leasing my third GMC Terrain!
I decided on getting the Terrain SLT trim with the blackout package. It was $40k so only a few k difference. But it rode and drove a lot better and in my opinion has better more comfortable interior
He also gave the terrain and unfair disadvantage with the Denali. Of course it’s gonna cost more because the Denali offers more luxury you get it normal it’s almost about the same price of the equinox but I drive a 2018 GMC train SLT and I 100% would take that car over an equinox any day I can say though the gear shifter is definitely a little bit weird, but it definitely gives the car a more luxury feel it definitely gets some taking to get used to, but in the end I feel like the terrain is just a better vehicle and in my opinion, it looks better than the equinox
Yall should probably choose the terrain because the new equinoxes break down a lot so yall should get the GMC terrain, I'm not a car expert and all but i looked it up on the internet and the newer equinoxes break down a lot, Both vehicles are very nice GM did a amazing job on both vehicles. So i recommend the GMC Terrain Denali, or the SLT trim. Thats all i can explain because most of the comments are saying "I was looking toward to getting a equinox" bla bla bla. My aunt owns a 2022 terrain and it runs pretty good. So just like how she says she'd never own an equinox so wouldnt i. So yeah the Equinox's body and inside is great, But I'd recommend the GMC Terrain Denali, or the SLT Trim.
@@carsunlocked I love the button shifter. A flick of a button and its in gear. Very easy for my arthritic deformed hands. Regular shifter hurts my hands, so ya the button shifter is ideal for me.
The gmc terrain last 300,000 miles and the equinox last 200,000 miles, the terrain is built to last even though the button might suck the terrain is still faster and built to last longer?
@ Thank you for the video. It was helpful to visualize both vehicles side by side in order to make a more informed decision. Please keep’em coming. Cheers!
For an $8000.00 difference, give me the Equinox.
thanks for watching

Both are being redesigned for 2025... and both look great. They look like mini Yukons and Tahoes, respectively - more trucklike. Looks good on them.
ill have to do another comparison
you should compare the Equinox Premier which is more like the GMC Terrain Denali.
I have the 2023 Equinox Premier. no regrets.
I got a 2012 have no Problem with it , Only had to buy Oil changes and tires . And one battery . Had Ever since 2012 . A great car, in my opinion.
Equinox like the best vehicle

Thank you, this is useful! Equinox
Glad you think so!
Should have compared the premium to the Denali
sorry sir this is all the dealer had to give us
@@carsunlocked still, though you should have compared it in the video, especially pricewise
I agree
GMC all the way
I love my 2024 Equinox Premier. ❤
great choice congrats
i love the exterior of the terrain. but the equinox does go on sale more and i see one fully loaded premier for 33k.
sounds like a good deal
@@carsunlocked i ended up buying for 31k! im so happy!

I don't like the gear shift buttons either 😕

Comparing a Denali Terrain to a standard Equinox?
Equinoz RS
That Like Comparing a shelby to a regular mustang
@@carsunlocked 100% agree with this comment. It is unfair to compare a more luxury version to a standard vehicle.

these new one is built the same
The Equinox actually weighs less its lighter and faster.
Terrain forever.
