    • @trishgels
      @trishgels 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      In NC, a lot of us say bless your heart as a backhanded insult, or to genuinely say bless you. When I say bless your LIL heart, that's almost always a sideways jab, but if someone does something sweet for me or somebody else, I'll say it to convey they're blessed for being kind. If someone suffers a loss, bless your heart shows sympathy. If you're woke & don't know any better, bless your heart is more like saying you need Jesus in your life, like a lil prayer. If you're acting up, it's like saying you must not know any better or need to act like you have the good sense God gave you.
      In sum, I don't know bout every other southern state or the rest of the country, but where I live, ppl don't typically just lay into anyone, which is why we do it w/it a polite context:)

      I know, right!?? I'd love to see them produce a comedic series like this. Texans in California or vice versa. Obviously not with the stereotypes that Hollywood likes to portray Texas as. In Hollywood it would be a lesbian couple coming to a small Texas town and they'd have to go ninja style on a bunch of rednecks...or they'd start converting the youths in the area to overthrow the evil villainous adults that spread their hatred and bigotry and greed on everything they touch. Babylon Bee's version is much more typical and obviously avoids the Hollywood stereotypes.

Too much fun, loved all of the characters and a chance to laugh out loud. Please keep doing what you are doing. One slight problem with that is that Steve and Timpani have both converted to Texan, so they won't be the 'fish out of water' anymore. There will have to be a new antagonist to create conflict. I have faith in the Bee, though. I'm sure their writers can pull off a miracle!
