As a Texan, This is accurate. I was born Texan, and Buc-ee’s has the most legendary food. The best jerky, the best fudge, the best nuts, and the best BBQ sandwiches. Let me tell you this: a Texan will never misspell Buc-ee’s, even when autocorrect says otherwise.

Being in blue state Oregon I've never heard of Buc ees . Thank God I'm 185 miles away from the Portland zoo. Many Oregon counties are trying to sucede from the blue west side of Oregon

My niece's husband worked there as the 'coffee pot attendant'. His job was to keep all 30 of the coffee pots clean and full. All day, that's all he did. There's a staff of 6 that work the bathrooms. There was also a guy who did nothing but restock the "mile of jerky".

If I might offer a recommendation, I think it would be good to give Timpani her own group of Texan gal pals to help her character development along. Thus far, Steve has Clay and Kevin, who have been influencing him through kindness (and food).
Thus far Timpani hasn’t connected with her own friend group, but now that she likes guns, imagine her hanging out with Texan cowgirls.
Unfortunately, women don't bond with other women as easily as men bond with each other.

THAT is a good idea, Bab-Bee! Classy Texas cowgirl friends - NOT skimpy Daisy Dukes or half-naked cheerleader types. Maybe barrel racing, covered in mud and laughing on a 4-wheeler, a NASCAR event at Texas Motor Speedway (If I remember correctly, a giant Buc-ee's is already across the road..."What is that noise?" while cars are warming up), horseback riding and the barn care - which she realizes she loves. Glad that Timpani is already hooked on the gun range!
Maybe Timpani needs one, kindly, aunt-aged, "good ole girl" to welcome her socially and introduce her around. Then, the "good ole girl"'s Texas friends can do a slow makeover (across episodes) which Tiffany will embrace. I notice that Timpani was already wearing western boots at the psychiatrist's office.
This couple can start driving a classic 4wd pickup too. Work up a segment about trading in their Cali crossover SUV on a real pickup. Not an over the top monster with fat tires...maybe a '76 Ford F-250 with factory tall, thin tires? Two doors, 8' box, quiet exhaust.
This series is GOLD. I normally wouldn't keep up with a serial like this, but it's pure gold. Kudos!
Absolutely. These characters have so much comedy potential that if they turned it into a TV sitcom, I'd have to plug in my TV again.

I went to San Antonio, Texas for the first time last week. I couldn't stop smiling. On the plane ride back, everyone was talking and making friends with each other. That place is an experience! Long Live Texas.
Were you there in December? I don’t recommend going in the summer. We went in June and nearly died from the heat!! Otherwise, I love San Antonio. 😊

Same here! It's so magical. Went to one for my first time last weekend when vising family in Houston. The Brisket Sandwiches, the sodas, the cookies, etc. Brought back a Buc-ees shirt to rock here in the bay area

It would however be nice if they had a table. The beef brisket sandwich is my favorite BBQ sandwich...but I'm on a motorcycle and getting it, Beaver Chips and a soda to a park or rest area 8 miles away ain't worth it.

I mean in Spain there are shows already of people from the north moving to the south and the other way around which causes many funny situations based on cultural differences. They are quite good and funny, though not as exaggerate as these, but because the show is shorter here, you want everything to have a bigger punch, and it works.

As a New Yorker visiting Atlanta for work... holy shit, this hits home. The lower gas prices... the bigger gas stations (not Buc-Ee's, but Sheetz, Race Trac, QT, Shell, etc.) that serve actual food, and not snacks... I may never leave.
Get outside Atlanta and enjoy the south.

Having recently visited TX for a few days (from the UK) this episode was so relatable. I travelled the Interstates every day and Buc-ee's was a lifesaver! Bee, you guys rock!
So hoping you guys do a season 2 of this with it being New Yorkers moving to Florida. Love these episodes even though its so tough seeing Steve and Timpani struggling with their relationship and their new found freedom. I hope the greatness of Texas doesn't break them apart!

They position their big stores along the major interstates and have billboards announcing how far you are from them, hundreds of miles out.
For an example, you might see a billboard that says "in 240 miles exit ramp 130 for bucees"

She should have been conflicted going between feeling scared and safe. Her old California self vs her Texas self with Texas winning really quickly. Even a line like "I know a gun free zone is always safe and I don't own a gun, but there are a lot of people with guns inside and I feel much safer." Or something to that effect.

@@AdiHughesGuitar I’ll grant you it’s something different. London was the first place, other than our neighborhood, that we ever left our son alone. We charged him with learning the underground and all navigation while in the city. We told him where we wanted to go and then we followed him. One day he took us to the Doctor Who museum (that area was a little dicey). Anyway, when we got back into the city and off the subway he was hungry (we were tired). He was adamant that he knew how to get back to the hotel so we parted ways (he was 10 I think). He has done his homework well and showed up an hour later full and with leftovers. Fun trip. If y’all are going to be north of Dallas, I’ll gladly buy you a beer (but it won’t be as good as the beer in the UK, sorry).

Though you still have to contend with the state government most of California, see the map of the last election, is still somewhat conservative. Our electoral system is incredibly corrupted and we have both Hollywood and Big Tech elites, with their willing stooge RINO's like Kevin McCarthy (no close relation), controlling the state. There are semi-reasonable places to live here. Orange County went back to being Republican this year when they monitored the voting system.

Well, if you do you'll have alot in common with TX, not just heat, wildlife & gators, but in general with the 'law unto their own' culture. Also TXns like just about ANY thing BBQ (if you can hunt & kill it you can grill it), which I've heard is an aussie thing.

While as this series demonstrates, coming to the states can be very different in which state you go to. You could go to one state and if you have a bad time assume the entire country is like that when in reality each state has it's own unique character and appeal.

I went for the first time last week, and I'm back in California. Already missing it. Such a magical place. We spent 2 hours there and over $150 just on food and merch

We went to Buc-ee's for the first time a month ago and, I kid you not, the customers in the store were smiling at me and welcoming us when we walked in. I looked at one product and checked the price expecting it to cost $12. The price said $2! I had to rub my eyes being from Illinois. We had to go visit Buc-ee's on the way back to Illinois and we got to meet Buc-ee!

Walked into the store, walked up to the first employee I saw and with wide eyed wonder said " I thought it was just a Babylon Bee sketch, but it's real and it's beautiful.". Made someone's day.

We live in the UK. Just come back from a holiday in Houston and West Texas. We went to the gun range (my wife is a beast with an AR15 on full auto). We bought boots and jeans and gas at Buc-ee's. I really love Texas. May it never be ruined by libs. God bless Texas and The Bee.

As a life-long Texan, this series has made me realize how much I’ve taken for granted in my life. I never considered that other states don’t have Buccees. How many Americans have never had Beaver Nuggets? It’s a heart-breaking thought.

I can't wait for the next instalment. My first time in a Buckees was just like Steve's. My name, too (btw). Brisket sandwiches and pear preserves are the magic combination. My last visit to the new Buckees on I75 in GA was a huge disappointment when they didn't have any pear preserves. I was crushed.

As a native Californian, I just recently learned about Buc-ee’s as we plan for a cross country trip to Florida. It is absolutely on our must stop list. This is one of the best web series on TH-cam. I really love the entire cast.
If you're taking I-10 east, once past San Antonio take the 632 exit, its near Luling. This is a giant Buc-ees and you wont be disappointed. Just be prepared to buy a ton of goodies.
If you're going to Orlando, stop by the Busy Bees rest stop on the way. Basically Buccees but with bees.
Past Texas (lots in Texas), there is one in south Alabama, Atlanta(if you go that way), Daytona Beach, and St. Augustine.

Not gonna lie. I ran across Buc-ee's by chance myself. When I pulled in I couldn't understand how a gas station could have so much parking let alone it being mostly full. When I got to the doors all I could smell was brisket. It instantly became the greatest store ever.
