As a newer player, I actually really enjoy these counter guides. Getting into the game, I am told a lot about WHAT cards to get and WHO they are good against, but its sometimes left out HOW to use them. I’ve heard a lot of talk about Ash Blossom, Nib, and such, but everyone is just like, “Yeah, they’re good… why? Cause they’re good against those decks… why? Cause they are!” So I really appreciate these videos! Thank you!
Not only do these videos explain why these cards are good, you can better understand why certain combos are made. Most of the time, meta decks play in a certain way to counter popular outs. For example, Traptrix can play around Nibiru, Lightning Storm, and Denko Sekka if played correctly. Raflesia on a fifth summon can stop Nibiru, Aracknocapa summoned during the opponent's turn can counter Dark Ruler + Lightning Storm, Pudica with Holeutea in grave can get rid of Denko after Raflesia is used...
Another card against Traptrix is Daruma Cannon. The XYZ monsters won't be flipped, but that means the opponent has to send them and all of their Link monsters to the GY! Just don't set it from Lady Labrynth, though. Mymerleo is scary... 😨
@@theketchupman8044 read cannon my friend any thing it dont flip it forces the controller to send to gy so it dont matter if their xyz got material or their link are link summoned since their no flipped the controller must send them to the gy similar to how evenly matched gozen and rivalry work, if you have rivalry up and your opponent control a plant and insect even if their unaffected by traps they must send 1 or more of those monster to the gy so they only control 1 type
only issue is if a labrynth player is playing this card its probably a 1 of that they set off of lady effect so if myrmeleo goes to pop it their not much that can be |done sadly as right now were not in a link focused format so cannon not great outside of a few interactions

About time someone FINALLY put up a way to counter Labrynth. That deck was stealing wins since TAMA and only content towards them was how to build and play it (without a single soul telling you which cards to hit). Thank you Cali. As good as Royal Decree is, Trix just needs to activate a trap, let it get negated, but since it activated Sera summons Myrmeleo to pop. Just a little tidbit for yall
And against skill drain is a matter of special summoning myrmeleo (be it by Sera being immune to skill drain or by holetea) activate her effect to pop a card and chain it to a trap like compulsory evacuation device or torrential tribute in response to her effect, that way when the trap card resolves, she would not be on the field when her effect resolves, therefore bypassing skill drain's "on the field" restriction and being able to pop it, but of course that implies a non trap hole card that can remove your own monsters.... hmmmm... or is it?.... because skill drain takes away their "unaffected by hole traps" effect... so maybe a treacherous hole trap directly from rafflessia could do the job? will have to test it
@@Lorens4444 All of them are unaffected by "hole" traps, so no, you have to rely on non "hole" traps to pull it off, but like you say you're better off siding (maybe maining why not?) duster.
I'm often talking about Cali's great YGO takes, but he shows body positivity that is sorely lacking in the YGO community. Cali manages to preach that the body *is* a temple and you need to take care of it, while not making anyone feel bad for their body. It's okay to be big, or skinny, so long as what you're getting big or skinny on is healthy. I dunno, it's just a breath of fresh air in a community that jokes a lot about gross "fat and sweaty" players.

I'm a certified trainer and it's actually very important to train while dieting always. It's never recommended to just diet only. It's important that while losing fat you convert that loss of fat into muscle gains through resistance training/cardiovascular exercise. Just thought I'd put that out there for everybody. @Andrew Christian What type of meal would you recommend? Warriors are canned food. Spellcasters have too many "magical" elements. Fiends are extremely unhealthy. Zombies have too many preservatives. You can't survive on a Plant diet alone. XD

Kaijus. If you want the sauce just play 5 Kaijus and 1-2 copies of interrupted Kaiju slumber. If your deck needs the normal summon (so no lava golem) or the Kashtira/Labrynth/Branded player summons just their big boss monster and sets a few and pass then boom it’s a low investment one of. “What if I draw more than one” just summon the bigger of the two to your side of the field. Also Kaiju Slumber is a free dark hole
Correction a dark hole that needs to summon to resolve and can be ashed Those come a lot more often than I wish to admit since floodgates can prevent you from activating it
@@DisasterLord from my experience, if they ash blossom your kaiju you usually play other support cards that are important to go off in situations like tasking or pot of prosp. the slumber can be banished the following turn to get a kaiju from deck adding more pressure as well as possibly opening the kaiju with the slumber to get over monster floodgates like baron or toad

I played Skill Drain on a Traptrix player at a Regional last weekend and dude had some 3400 atk monster that can be spec sum by banishing 3 insect/plant monsters and he was main decking this ... my luck sucked that day.

I used to be so pissed because u would always call the deck trash while i was playing a 2 card combo that ends on 5 negates and an extra deck rip. Another great weight loss technique is a Japanese method where you eat till your 80% full. I've been doing it for 2 weeks and I've already lost 5pounds. That is also including eating sensibility minus all the coffee I drink.
I actually beat Traptrix and Labrynth by playing good old Mst and Effect Veiler. Mst forces Labrynth to outright shoot their complete Combo blindly into your Hand and effect Veiler stops Sera from going plus and lets them end on a weak board without much backline.
@user-vv8gu7lv6v because against 3 or 4 backrow with lady on field, you might not get a battle phase anyway. Might as well clear them down to make setting up your board easier. And evenly plays around a revealed Lord of Heavenly Prison if they run it

I wouldn't call Traptrix meta as their reliance on reactive traps is both their greatest strength and greatest weakness. Cards like Royal Decree and Trap Stun easily shut the deck down. They also don't have a alternate built-in answer to non-targetable bosses other than their traps.
Traptrix/labyrinth = just play jinzo if you really hate traps lol Kashtira = just hit em with the books Branded = DRAW THE OUT (I love let it out.....well I just love Miho Fukuhara)

So what happens when you attempt to hit sera but get met with a chain hole that’s why I play chain hole if you manage to pull full combo because of parallel exceed you don’t start using sera till after the summon of Reflasia. I’ve found that playing around the nib with gravedigger trap hole is not the only use Chain Hole can negate the Ash then force the banish of an ash in deck or rip a random from the hand-same can be said about impermanence. Also denko sekka can be played around by Atrax I then do not need to set hole traps I can use them straight out of hand. Also Atrax can mow over Denko lol. Atrax Holeutea is an immediate Time Thief Redoer for a bounce as well.
Im playing a lil Blue-Eyes engine in my Branded/Bystial deck because its Blue-Eyes. But turns out, Blue-Eyes Tyrant Dragon kills Labrynth and Traptrix basically instantly since hes unaffected by trap cards. Besides that I like using the Erradicator Epedemic Virus against them as well
i found boo boo game and heavenly prison can help with eradicator depending of course who goes first tho will admit tyrant i never faced as a labrynth player and he could be problem tho the easiest counter i see is i get 1 monster out big welcome summon lovely and bounce the other one now lovely pops tyrant and that all their is and it not a hard combo to get into
@@Yugiohdeckmaster41 Yea, true that but as you said, you never faced Tyrant as no one plays Blue-Eyes :P I always catch them by surprise, no one is expecting that. But yea, they tried that already but Blue-Eyes Jet Dragon can protect Tyrant. I dont wanna say its a free win but Trap Trix and Labrynth are easily the easiest match-ups for me
@@Yugiohdeckmaster41 So far, many play a Dark Magician to summon Dragoon for the Kashtira Match-up. But they could easily play a Blue-Eyes to summon Tyrant instead when facing Labrynth and TrapTrix. Maybe its a side deck option for someone

Mr. California card effect ninja player 😁 Jking But seriously, if you imperm the lv4, wouldn't that not change anything because banish from deck is cost which means you just activated the Sha La effect, which then means you can not only get an extra muscle in the board but you could also go into riseheatt off of just the lv4. I think? I don't read cards "fully" I just need confirmation
Even before watching this, I'm just gonna say... Every mfing deck right now loses to evenly matched. Traptrix, Labyrinth, Kashtira, and Barnded included. The fact that literally everyone owns a playset now and puts it in the side (or main in the case of traptrix) is also frustrating. I wouldn't be surprised if this cards gets at least limited on the next banlist.
Cali sensei, not that's needed, what are good side engines you could run in traptrix that you think everyone should try if the normal deck starts to become boring to players who gets bored easily of using the same deck

Just remember imperm doesn’t work on Sera (or any of the TT extra deck monsters)
Lab doesn't have to, nor should they, shoot their full set up on an mst. Harpies/storm/evenly forces a lot though

So what happens when you attempt to hit sera but get met with a chain hole that’s why I play chain hole if you manage to pull full combo because of parallel exceed you don’t start using sera till after the summon of Reflasia. I’ve found that playing around the nib with gravedigger trap hole is not the only use Chain Hole can negate the Ash then force the banish of an ash in deck or rip a random from the hand-same can be said about impermanence. Also denko sekka can be played around by Atrax I then do not need to set hole traps I can use them straight out of hand. Also Atrax can mow over Denko lol. Atrax Holeutea is an immediate Time Thief Redoer for a bounce as well.

Im playing a lil Blue-Eyes engine in my Branded/Bystial deck because its Blue-Eyes. But turns out, Blue-Eyes Tyrant Dragon kills Labrynth and Traptrix basically instantly since hes unaffected by trap cards. Besides that I like using the Erradicator Epedemic Virus against them as well
i found boo boo game and heavenly prison can help with eradicator depending of course who goes first tho will admit tyrant i never faced as a labrynth player and he could be problem tho
the easiest counter i see is i get 1 monster out big welcome summon lovely and bounce the other one now lovely pops tyrant and that all their is

@@Yugiohdeckmaster41 Yea, true that but as you said, you never faced Tyrant as no one plays Blue-Eyes :P I always catch them by surprise, no one is expecting that. But yea, they tried that already but Blue-Eyes Jet Dragon can protect Tyrant.
I dont wanna say its a free win but Trap Trix and Labrynth are easily the easiest match-ups for me
@@Yugiohdeckmaster41 So far, many play a Dark Magician to summon Dragoon for the Kashtira Match-up. But they could easily play a Blue-Eyes to summon Tyrant instead when facing Labrynth and TrapTrix.

But seriously, if you imperm the lv4, wouldn't that not change anything because banish from deck is cost which means you just activated the Sha La effect, which then means you can not only get an extra muscle in the board but you could also go into riseheatt off of just the lv4.

Even before watching this, I'm just gonna say... Every mfing deck right now loses to evenly matched. Traptrix, Labyrinth, Kashtira, and Barnded included. The fact that literally everyone owns a playset now and puts it in the side (or main in the case of traptrix) is also frustrating. I wouldn't be surprised if this cards gets at least limited on the next banlist.
Cali sensei, not that's needed, what are good side engines you could run in traptrix that you think everyone should try if the normal deck starts to become boring to players who gets bored easily of using the same deck
