Do you remember the approximate location from where you entered the waters. Just trying to get an idea of where the corals are this colorful. I've snorkeled a few times in Kailua beach and I see barracuda and several turtles regularly. But the corals are completely bleached.
We saw a lot of bleached coral as well. The colorful coral heads were pretty far offshore and there weren't a ton of them. We had better luck towards the left side of the beach, probably a block or two from the beach entrance closest to the school in Kailua.
What would you do if you saw a shark while snorkeling?
Keep my eyes on it as I swim away! 😉
It looked like a nurse shark! (Was it?)
@@kelseylu9448 It was a white tipped reef shark.
OMG that little eel opening it's mouth at you was so cute 😂
Love this!

How far out would you guys say you went? Going back to lani Kai this week and want to explore more
The best reef was only 25 yards offshore. It was on the left of the beach. To the right were a lot of large coral mounds, but there was less wildlife.
2:27 shark!
Other world
It really is!
