I was in Lanikai and Kailua Beach just yesterday. Very beautiful and the water felt good. Much better than Waikiki.

I have a quick question. Which one did you like more? I went to Kailua Beach today and it was absolutely beautiful. Is Lanikai better? If so, I'll drive back up before leaving Hawaii in a few days. Pls let me know!
@@heeky81 I will be honest I actually preferred Kailua Beach over Lanikai. It has better parking and it has much more space to move around. Also those two beaches are so close together they are practically the same beach. If you're pressed for time then check out other sites; but if you have time to kill then go for it. Be sure to stop at The Byodo-In Temple if you decide to back in that area. Very beautiful.

Used to play academy soccer for Chivas USA academy and we had a travel player that traveled with us to major tournaments with us that lived in lanikai. Won a major tournament in Dallas and for our reward, we got to choose a tournament in Hawaii over going to Dallas again. Our teammates house connected right to lanikai beach, and oh man what an experience and amazing sight to wake up to those sunrises and see the sun set. Playing soccer on the beach, I will never forget. Also got to visit Waikiki and other places.

We visited this beach in March of 2023. It was my favorite day of our trip. Its breathtaking!

Before moving to Washington State I used to go to Lanikai Beach after work on Marine Corps Base Hawaii. And watch the moon rise between moku Manu Island. Have walked the beach many times and Kailua Beach all the way up to Castle point thank you for sharing the video brings back memories :-)

Visited this beautiful beach on a trip to Hawaii in December 2019. I often find myself day dreaming about it or about Hawaii in general. Can't wait for Covid to subside and for things to go back to (semi) normal so I can go back.

In my opinion the most beautiful beach of all hawaii. I know that Oahu extended its quarantine until June 30th and I hope i can visit my second home again in July.... Its been a year since ive been, was planning on going This month. Correct me if im wrong...alot of the people walking doesnt seem to be locals. Where are they from? they are not tourist right?

Love this beach! Great memories of this beach. A suggestion for you; If you were to place your camera on a tri-pod and visit a beach and spend 2-3 hours on the beach. Plunk your tri-pod in the sand( isolated spot would be better)covering the rolling waves, greenish waters with different views every 20-30 min of the beach with its colourful scenery and sounds of the waves. This would be a great relaxing video. Great stuff! Mahalo!

This beach is breathtaking ! Ill be visiting in 2022 God willing. Where do you recommend we find parking.? I dont want to upset any locals because we are parking on the street next to their home...What's the easiest? Ill be traveling with my kiddos, so I'd like to know what's the easiest access. Also is there any vendors that sell food. Just asking so i go prepared with snacks etc.. Thanks again !!!

Lanikai Beach is not a State Park Beach, so there is no parking lot, restroom, nor lifeguard.
The best way to get to the beach is to park your car on Mokulua Dr or Aalapapa Dr and enter through one of the 11 accesses. But it's really hard to find a parking spot.
Be sure to get there early to avoid the stress of parking. Also, avoid weekends when there are lots of locals.
Please check the no parking sign carefully before parking. During holiday weekends, parking is not available from 10:00am to 3:00pm on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.
If there is still no parking space, park at Kailua Beach and walk for about 10-15 minutes.

Access 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7. are the popular accesses. The rest of the accesses may be difficult to access depending on the tide.
There are no restaurants or food trucks near Lanikai Beach. The adjacent beach, Kailua Beach, has several restaurants, shops and a small mall.
At Kailua Town, which is about 10-minute drive from the beach, there are many restaurants and markets.

Lived there from 1980 til 1982 when I left Oahu for California.Used to walk that loop daily!For reference...not knowing anything about real estate...you could have bought a house there for 100 thousand.The one I rented was sold for 125 thousand!Stupid me...we always wondered why one guy was buying each house as it came up for sale!Don Ho had a house there!Movie stars stayed at beach houses!Playboy shoot on the beach!Luckily not enough parking!

🌴 Aloha!~ Nahu Ramos 🌈 Hawaii's dry season occurs from April to October while the wet season occurs from November to March. The wet season does not mean that it rains all day. It rains mostly at night. Summer is nice, but it can be very hot and a little humid. Personally, I think the best time to travel to Hawaii is between spring and summer. 👍😄 Mahalo for watching!! ^^ 🤙
