Don’t know if you’ll make it as far north as southern Indiana in your travels this year but if so, check out Mitchell, IN. Home of one of the original astronauts Virgil “Gus” Grissom. Also the little town next door, Orleans, IN has the cutest town square. Very Mayberry like.

Hi Adam! Another fun little piece of trivia about H&H is that the owner herself would feed the Alman Brothers and they promised her that if they got famous they would come back and make it right! They did and actually took her on tour with them and she was their tour cook for a little bit! I actually got to meet her once at there several years ago! She was very nice and the food was amazing.

Hey Adam this is my hometown. 😁 I lived downtown for 7 years and got to see 42 be filmed there and need for speed. Lil Richard house was actually moved to that location. Bingo Long and Traveling Allstars was filmed here also. Alot of buildings and history is being restored due to New Town Macon and our college Mercer. Downtown has came a long way and its only getting better. Hope you can make it back soon. Kudos to Josh and Caleb. My old school mates 😄.

I spoke to his wife there and they are such amazing, friendly people with lots of stories!

Hey Adam, just love this new road tripping into the small towns. I live in Australia, so would not of normally got the chance to see these very unique and special places. We have many small country towns like these, sadly some are dying as young people move away to the cities for work etc... Good on you for showing these places, I look forward every morning to sitting and having my breakfast and watching your adventures. Safe travels mate.

Those bricks were “made” by the kids in the local schools. They let all the kids carve their names into bricks that hadn’t been fired yet and used them to pave a few places in downtown Macon.
Me and my sister made one as well when they were doing it. Pretty neat, though I don’t think I’ve ever found mine. Lol

Thanks for another day in the life of… videos. Somehow I missed this one… and had our own Music in Macon day yesterday. A few updates- we had breakfast in H&H Cafe. The mural is finished. There are lots of musician photos on the walls. Walked to the Otis Redding Foundation Museum. They charge $5 now. Missed old Capricorn office. Did visit the Capricorn Museum that had a collection of memorabilia and listening stations with all of Capricorn’s recordings. Walked to the Tic Toc Club where Little Richard and Otis Redding played in their early days. The Macon Visitor Center has some good displays. According to them the Otis Redding statue is still in storage. Missed Little Richard’s house, but would go back. The Big House is awesome and jam-packed Allman Bros Band memorabilia, instruments, garb… definitely worth a return visit when it’s open. And it was twice as warm this February day- 80° instead of 40°

And obviously you can tell they are renovating the interstate and they moved the Otis Redding statue actually a long time ago so it wouldn’t get damaged. In Gray, Georgia there is a little monument in downtown of Otis Redding and he had a house I believe in Gray.
I can’t wait to see what else you find in the area. I love the old historical aspects of Macon ❤️

I was raised in Macon! From age 2 1/2 to 18! That town has changed so much, I would not move back to it!

You did it Adam, you have built ur own mini California’s Gold. The local insider aspect makes these series so great.
Can’t wait to see where this goes.
    Cheers to you
