- In this video we have a look at some photos taken, and then placed somewhere on the interweb, before being forwarded to me by a friend...
Would give credit for the snaps if I could, but no idea who took them...a very nice and lovely person I am sure!
For the Legendary Marauder, I think the Gauss Rifle is detached... that's a hole on top I think.
Correct! For this marauder you can build it with either a Gauss Rile or I think an LBX so they have the two options tucked away in the packaging!
Yep, you are correct. I must have missed this news.
June cannot come soon enough!
Fingers crossed the Houthi rebels don't sink our container ship :P
i need just... 4 packs of each of the vehicles by themselves.
As a diehard Draconis Combine collector I'm SOOOOOOO pumped for that Hatamoto and Mauler
It's about time; the DC need some love.
Thanks for the preview. I'm looking forward to getting my hands on the various clan IIC refits. Good luck with your house remodeling. Cheers Mr. Dom.
My pleasure.
Those IIc 'Mechs look dreamy!
I hope the renovation goes as well as planned. I can't wait for more and more opinion pieces and analysis from you.
Cheers, pal! Nice to hear from you!
Totally stoked for this KS, so many fantastic minis coming! :D
What a time to be alive :D
Barton's Devastator looks terrifying. Great add for my McCarron's 2nd Command Lance.
I love McCarron's...evil, very very evil ;)
@duskhaunters3025 Oh yes. With them and Sorenson's Sabres I have all the pre-invasion antagonists I'll ever need. 😈
Super exited for these, like you say need some derpy 40-45 tonners. Nice gunship t-shirt by the way :)
Thanks...so many people loving Gunship on here...love that band!
Catalyst said all the plastic was done in November, and shipped two weeks later, we are waiting on two or Three Books to be received.
There are extra bits in the Legendary Pack for the Marauder. They have shown it off before and you can see the hole that it goes into. I think I remember seeing two different options.
Yeah, both Legendary MechWarriors II and III have a Marauder, and each of them has two dorsal gun options. And apparently the Hatamoto-Chi in Somerset Strikers has parts to do the usual heat sink fin or a full back banner.
AH HA! Thanks. I must have missed this news.
That makes a lot of sense, and yes, now you've pointed it out, I can see the little hole point on the back of the head.
that shogun looks amazeballs
I'm so glad it got included. Would have been an easy 'Mech to skip over, but the Merlin and the Shogun are two important 'Mechs for the lore given when they got released/re-released in and around 3005.
Looking forward to getting my KS as my eldest son & I splutter a Batalion. I had only just got into tabletop when the KS started. Whike I've largely forgotten what I even selected I know I tried to lean more towards Clan units, but couldn't see not having selected the Sommerset box as the Bushwhacker has always been a favorite. It will feel like Christmas morning when I get to open my boxes & see what I got.
On a side note CGL doing away with the Rommel, but not seeing an issue with the genocidal "Mongol Doctrine" just reeks of hypocrisy & sadly has only seemed to get worse with policies & how CGL has recently been treating their fans/customers recently.
Not long to wait now; shipping addresses have been locked, so I guess they will start sending them out over the next few weeks.
the 3039 rollout of the mauler was called the Daboku, it was a prototype for the mauler and it was a cursed design, which is why the design was shelved for another ten years.
Oh yes, that's right, I forgot about that. To be fair though the DC love a punishment 'Mech...it makes their jocks try harder on the battlefield ;)
Rommel has not been "phased out", it's referenced in a recent ilClan Recognition Guide. They just chose to produce a miniature of the Patton instead of the Rommel
would love to see your haul from the KS
I'll do it for you, Silent Mouse :D
Might be a long video...
Evil?? Capellans? You wound me, sir! Very nice video though, nice to see all these photos and your thoughts on them.
Very evil, very nice...
awesome Gunship shirt! thanks for the video. i cant wait for mine. you have an amazing battletech room!
Thanks!
Lots of love for GunShip...I had no idea people liked them ;)
@@duskhaunters3025 check out waveshaper, carpenter brut, and lazerhawk if you haven't already
"Si-Kay-Dah"
Or for Aussies, "Si - car - da"
I'm not quite sure about the power armor infantry either, I can 3D print a couple hundred little guys at a time should I ever want them, paying $20 for a box of four stands just doesn't seem that great.
Also, don't forget they advertised both the Legendary box Marauders come with two cannons in the box to choose from, so they'll be in a little baggie inside the box. Marauders are definitely in the running for the most common type of 'Mech in my collection, along with the Highlander.
Yes, it really is it bit meh...might feel differently when I have the little guys in hand, but right now I am a bit disappointed.
Love the Bug packs, but I want Fleas too. Glad CGB/ RD and Battlefield are coming, sadly no Liao, Snow Raven/ RA or Marik force packs the next years 😒
I just looked at my backerkit, and somehow I messed up and didn't select the Somerset Strikers lance. I could've sworn I had! Gah. I guess I'll just buy it separately when it releases. I am glad it's being made!
I'm pretty sure it will be coming to retail, so you shouldn't have to pay over the top scalper prices.
A tasty Gunship shirt! Thanks for your thoughts on the KS stuff - can't wait to get my hands on!
Thanks! Tech Noir massive!
Ah sweet, now battlemechs are standing on tactical rocks.
Tactical Clan carcass ;)
I agree with you about the Battle Armor Platoon. It should have been a full Company (12 bases).
A Company would have been SWEET!
The Hermes II is a very, very, very bad Mech, but the Mini is awesome.
I hope we get the Vulcan 5T as a Variant.
So bad, but I love it
My guess for the "poles" on the quad mechs would be they're there for assembly reasons => making it easier for the workers in the factory to position the model right on base without losing too much time. As you said it should be pretty easy to remove the one on the Goliath and just glueing the legs on the base (no need for us to rush here, as we don't have 10.000 more Goliaths to finish) not sure on the Scorp though, might be possible to glue 2 opposing legs on the base, which could be sufficient to get rid of the transparent part. Guess we have some more Months to wait and see. ;)
Good point. Interested to see how they've done this actually...not long to wait now :D
Yep the clear pegs are so that we didn't have to do any goofy leg poses to make them base. Both mechs can be glued to the bases without the pegs, but they wouldn't have been able to do that from the factory for the scorpion. It also means players can run them with no base at all if they want, no chopping needed. I pushed hard for this to future proof our deployment of quad mechs as the hex base will never fit them all.
I'm pretty sure that the missing Marauder weapon is because you have 2 options, one being gauss, the other an UAC10 to make the Red Hunter.
You are correct, I'd missed this news drop. Always happy to get more weapon options!
Holy crap, this will be expensive XD
you got the stormfuer and the Vop Luckner the wrong way round
Correct, as always ;)
Oh i forgot to pick up the IS battle armour never mind i'll get it later. Didn't they say the kick starter will begin shipping in spring/summer?
Oh finally we see the summerset strikers pack, it looks gorgeous. I like the Mauler and the axeman, the LRMS soften up targets as you get in close and the pulse laser will be good against fast light mechs trying to close in and axe makes people think twice before getting to close since it can also jump and the Mauler is just lots of daka on two legs and dramatic fire works.
I still can;t quite believe we are getting the Somerset Strikers box...wild ;)
The pink ones were 3-D printed. the weird look they had were layer lines. They were the test models before mass production.
They looked pretty good as well. Detail didn't seem lacking at all.
@@duskhaunters3025 they 3d print the “premium” mech kits too if you look closely you can see layer lines on them.
@@duskhaunters3025 yea they probably have a 4k printer. But they’re pretty good for a test model.
ricol is an ilclan descendant of duke ricol of grey death nemesis and black dragon bad guy the marauder has different options for the rt gun
highlander has the srm6s on the arm not the lrm20s
Correct, as always ;)
Starts with inner sphere lances, thumbs down, unsubscribe, fire all lasers! 😂 (Hi Dom!)
Hey, it wasn't me who put the Clan box the wrong way around :P
I did not fly out to the US specifically to do this...
No sir, not me...
@@duskhaunters3025 … 😂👍
I heard talk of a 3 year road map for releases
Yes, I've heard that as well...I also heard they'd be doing Faction force packs this year, which now looks changed, so not sure how important these long term plans are.
For the Battle Armour, I think I'm just going to go for 3D printed stuff tbh... The mold lines on the PVC kits are bad enough on larger models and the old elementals were a nightmare to clean up. It's sad to say, but for these very small models, printed will likely be both cheaper and have a superior quality compared to PVC models.
I get my infantry 3D printed; doubt any company could do it as cost effective as some shops on Etsy.
I just want to say that there was another Rommel. He was the maijor of Stuttgart for many years and is a well respected politition. And he is also Erwin Rommels son. What I'm going for is. Just say the tank is named after him like we do with all the Rommel streets.
Who cares? I'm a lot more offended by Catalyst taking the knee to today's totalitarian LGBT lobby/industry than I am them naming a tank after a well respected General in WW2 who was KILLED because he tried to help assassinate Hitler!
It wasn't retconned out of the game, that rumor was pushed by far right wingers who like nazis and fear mongering because we focused on the Patton. In lore the only statement is the Rommel had poor sales going into the ilClan era so it stopped being produced. Pretty reasonable as there are much better AC20 carrying tanks.
HEY! I miss my partner in crime!
Missed you too, Hatchy. You can find me on here though...look out for some post in the summer/autumn :D
