Without a doubt it’s been a total joy to see the wider Pokémon community embrace and love Ingo. From his iconic appearances in the anime, to his antics in masters, and his endearing role here I just can’t get enough of this man.
Yes, I am happy more western fans finally know about him! But I am and always have been more of an Emmet kind of gal myself. So I need to see my chaotic smiley man is okay to be truly pleased.
I haven't played PLA myself, but I've watched a few other people play it, and I've gotta say that I like how Ingo's battles are so... traditional? Like he's the only one that battles one-on-one out of all the wardens that I've seen, where the other wardens just send out all their pokemon at once. It ties back to how he's from a time with different battling standards, and he's just doing what he subconsciously remembers.
That is the one thing I might’ve liked more of during the main story. Would’ve been cool if the Miss Fortune Sisters gained more Pokémon near the end and they battled more often, since they also use Poké Balls.
I legit screamed when Ingo was revealed in game. First I’m thinking the train bros got an ancestor too. Then I realize the hat and coat don’t belong in that time. Then comes the cave. That’s when it clicked that Ingo was the same Ingo from B&W. Poor Emmett. Losing Ingo had to have all but gutted him inside.
I feel like I like the Diamond Clan more in general but the Pearl Clan manages to even it out by having Ingo and Melli losing his clan massive points. I also really like what they did with Adaman and Irida with one being very friendly from the start and the other slowly warming up to you over time as you prove yourself and help them out. Really made it hard to choose which clan leader I wanted to adventure with to the lake guardians.
This game's a year old and I STILL haven't beaten it yet. I just enjoy the side stuff that much. Also I wonder if this Ingo will be alive long enough to witness the first trains being invented.
Same, I’ve yet to catch every Pokémon and battle Arceus! I still have some quests, and I have 120 hours in the game! It’s just fun and I love the characters so much… I wish there was a bigger DLC 😢
Good for you, honestly. I'm the same. I try to stretch out the experience as much as I can. Most people just rush through the story just to say they beat the game, completed the dex, or even to be the first ones to play competitive, but then they're bored, don't play the game as much anymore, or are just asking for dlc or a new game after only a couple of months after release. Keep enjoying your games like that, you get your money's worth that way. I took quite some time to finish that game as well, I did the same with Scarlet and Violet.

I Think Meli could be the ancestor of Wallace from Hoenn: First off thier poses in their official art (ORAS Wallace) are pretty similar, both leaning a bit and having one arm streched out (and in opposite directions). Also imo, their faces and expressions look a bit identical. However, Wallace's other arm is behind his head and his arms are split apart to show he is chill and kind. Meanwhile, Melli's hand in on his chest and his legs are together to show he is igotistical and rude. Also, His hair kinda looks like the green milotic like stripes wallace wears on his ORAS outfit. As an added bonus, your analisis of his hair ending in shapes of waves and tails, furthermore adding on that it's a bluish purple fits wallace's milotic and his water type specialty. *AND ON TOP OF EVERYTHING* , Melli's good singing voice could be a slight nod to how elegant & flamboyant wallace is and how in the core game and anime he is seen to have a connection to contests I don't know if im the first person to think he is wallace's ancestor, but no matter that I am confident he is

Legends: Arceus is one of the best Pokemon games they have ever released, the Lore, the People, the Story, it was amazing. I really, really hope we get another Legends game in the near future.
One thing I really like is that the Diamond clan has a lot of embroidery, while the Pearl clan uses more additional accessories. I wonder if that's because of the time embroidery takes, and the accessories taking up more space
Another nod to descendants is Gaeric. I think that good chance his descendant would be Wulfric, the gen 6 gym leader. Gaeric looks almost like a younger version of Wulfric. Wulfric also has Avalugg as an ace, while Gaeric looks over Hisuian Avalugg
One other thing to note about Arezu is that her leggings being a gradient from top to bottom like that matches the gradient pattern on Hisuian Lilligant

Here* are the clues in order from least convincing to dead giveaway: his funny appearance, his face, his personality and most notably the whiteout-eye thing the brothers do whenever they were in disbelief. I think Meli is the ancestor of Klara and Avery form Galar’s Isle of Armor DLC. That’s why it’s hard to pinpoint his descents, he’s the ancestor of two very different looking characters. Meli’s hair is both straight AND curly, plus it’s oddly coloured AKA is a mix of both Avery AND Klara. Meli has a good singing voice and uses Poison Type Pokemon like Klara. Meli is quite lanky/long like Avery and has his face shape/jaw, not only that but thanks to Sabe we know psychic powers are running around in the Diamond Clan gene pool somewhere. Not to mention all three have that rancid personality we all know and love / love to hate! I’m just saying,I feel it makes sense.

I had always wanted to be a comic artist or something similar, though I ended up studying creative writing in school, then shifted back over to traditional art before ending with digital art / video editing. So, basically all that in ballpark, haha. At least with TH-cam, I get to kind of mix them all together.
About Palina... her ingame design shows her knees being red and darker than her skin tone. And, in the game, we meet her shortly after Arcanine's death, which means she had to make a grave, and as she's still mourning, I can imagine she is busy kneeling down to pray on that tombstone.
While I don’t know if we get the perfect ending for Ingo and Emmet(especially with that line Sada made about time traveling to the past) but I think we will at least get closure for the two in some form. A temporary reunion. While it be Emmet temporarily time traveling to the past or Ingo’s ghost in the present(there’s basically a ghost person each Gen but it be cool if not only we knew this ghost but if we battled said ghost), or even if it’s just Emmet learning of Hisui and seeing his brother’s accomplishments of being warden or running the training grounds with that bittersweet feeling that he never got to see it himself. There also many theories Emmet will play a bigger role such as being sent in the future, being in the SV DLC, being the next major villian that’s trying to bring Ingo back, or my personal favorite, him being the champion of a Black and White 3 in order to be able to research more of what happened. Given the two are popular characters and Ingo’s story didn’t really end, it be cool to see Emmet’s side and for the two to have some sort of closure like other tragic figures like AZ, the Aether Family, or Arven
(There’s also a darker theory that Ingo could become a Yamask. The entries describe Yamask being a spirit from a “bygone age” that searches around for anyone who can recognize their face(with Ingo’s missing memories it makes sense he would look for someone like that), Yamask debuted in Unova like Ingo, and the mask is depicted to be frowning like Ingo’s constant expression. Gamefreak also has depicted things shown in entries before like Hypno in its remake, so it’s not too out there for it to happen here
I still haven’t finished Arceus. I got stuck at the part where I had to make a decision between the Diamond and Pearl clans, and their characters r both so good that I just can’t decide.

I honestly loved all the characters of Legends Arceus so much. Usually when I play a Pokémon game there’s one character, or a group of characters I latch on to, but I loved every single character from Legends Arceus individually for just being uniquely good characters in there own right.
I think Meli is the ancestor of Harley from the Pokemon anime. I have no evidence for this except that they both have long purple hair and a tendency towards flamboyance.
Sabi is actually an ancestor of both Cheryl and one other character, Caitlin. I don't know how so many poketheorists missed the similarities between the two. From the hair, the big hat, the psychic powers, it's too good to be a coincidence. Most theorists always compare Sabi to Hapu, but never Caitlin. Lian could also be Roark's ancestor. But the only similarities I could find are the red hair, the love for ores, and the fact that Liam is one of the first wardens you'll face, kinda like Roark being the first gym leader.
Wait… is Melli Atticus’s ancestor? (Similar in Pokemon type, brow/eyes, and dramatics) 🤔 He also has part of Penny’s hair color and eyes… so it’s still hard to tell.

I haven’t played PLA because of the questionable battle system but Black and White were one of my first ever games as a kid. I get the idea of having fallers because of the Ultra Wormholes/ Ultimate Weapon in X and Y but just why of all characters did it have to be Ingo :( I just can’t help but feel for Emmet he must be devastated he lost his brother.
3:40 at first I was a little stumped on who he might be the ancestor to but after thinking about it for a while I think Eresu is the ancestor to James. Both have blue hair that goes down (James is much shorter obviously). Both are flamboyant in their style, clothing, and personality. And both get in the way of the main character with James being a team rocket member & eresu being stubborn and not seeing the main character as worthy.
Tough choice between Sabi and Arezu. Before any suggestions I might have (such as Vessa, exclusive to the Spiritomb thingy, plus you did want to revisit Spiritomb), reviewing the Gingko Guild members plus the Galaxy guys first seems more plausible.

Irida is definitely best leader, she's just adorable, though the fact she can be in an icy landscape and complain about being too hot is really something.
I’ve see some people speculate that Melli and Penny may be related due to having similar eye shapes. Melli’s eyes, while similar to Penny’s are quite different. Melli had a distinct light pupil/shine, and they are completely different colours. In addition to this during several cut scenes in SV, and in her full trainer art card in the tcg, Penny is shown with her eyes fully open, implying her usual, heavy lidded look is more due to her expression than her actual eye shape. The fact that they share no other physical qualities (Penny is very short and the offical PLA guide reveals Melli extremely tall. In the range of 7ft), or colours, pokemon teams, or design elements, and the fact that Penny is of Galarian Heritage while Melli is implied to be of Sinnoh/Kalos heritage makes it even more unlikely that they are related.
With Scarlet-Violet, I believe adaman is Turo and arven’s ancestor, the time focus of the diamond clan with Turo The hair color and attitude for arven Also, the art makes me think that she’s Selena’s or Grace(Selena’s mom) ancestor

About Palina... her ingame design shows her knees being red and darker than her skin tone. And, in the game, we meet her shortly after Arcanine's death, which means she had to make a grave, and as she's still mourning, I can imagine she is busy kneeling down to pray on that tombstone.

While I don’t know if we get the perfect ending for Ingo and Emmet(especially with that line Sada made about time traveling to the past) but I think we will at least get closure for the two in some form. A temporary reunion.
While it be Emmet temporarily time traveling to the past or Ingo’s ghost in the present(there’s basically a ghost person each Gen but it be cool if not only we knew this ghost but if we battled said ghost), or even if it’s just Emmet learning of Hisui and seeing his brother’s accomplishments of being warden or running the training grounds with that bittersweet feeling that he never got to see it himself.
There also many theories Emmet will play a bigger role such as being sent in the future, being in the SV DLC, being the next major villian that’s trying to bring Ingo back, or my personal favorite, him being the champion of a Black and White 3 in order to be able to research more of what happened. Given the two are popular characters and Ingo’s story didn’t really end, it be cool to see Emmet’s side and for the two to have some sort of closure like other tragic figures like AZ, the Aether Family, or Arven
(There’s also a darker theory that Ingo could become a Yamask. The entries describe Yamask being a spirit from a “bygone age” that searches around for anyone who can recognize their face(with Ingo’s missing memories it makes sense he would look for someone like that), Yamask debuted in Unova like Ingo, and the mask is depicted to be frowning like Ingo’s constant expression. Gamefreak also has depicted things shown in entries before like Hypno in its remake, so it’s not too out there for it to happen here

I still haven’t finished Arceus. I got stuck at the part where I had to make a decision between the Diamond and Pearl clans, and their characters r both so good that I just can’t decide.
I chose Pearl Clan I love Dialga a lot its my favorite Legendary Pokemon. But the Pearl Clan has more lovable characters in my opinion.

I honestly loved all the characters of Legends Arceus so much. Usually when I play a Pokémon game there’s one character, or a group of characters I latch on to, but I loved every single character from Legends Arceus individually for just being uniquely good characters in there own right.

Sabi is actually an ancestor of both Cheryl and one other character, Caitlin. I don't know how so many poketheorists missed the similarities between the two. From the hair, the big hat, the psychic powers, it's too good to be a coincidence. Most theorists always compare Sabi to Hapu, but never Caitlin.
Lian could also be Roark's ancestor. But the only similarities I could find are the red hair, the love for ores, and the fact that Liam is one of the first wardens you'll face, kinda like Roark being the first gym leader.

I haven’t played PLA because of the questionable battle system but Black and White were one of my first ever games as a kid. I get the idea of having fallers because of the Ultra Wormholes/ Ultimate Weapon in X and Y but just why of all characters did it have to be Ingo :( I just can’t help but feel for Emmet he must be devastated he lost his brother.

3:40 at first I was a little stumped on who he might be the ancestor to but after thinking about it for a while I think Eresu is the ancestor to James. Both have blue hair that goes down (James is much shorter obviously). Both are flamboyant in their style, clothing, and personality. And both get in the way of the main character with James being a team rocket member & eresu being stubborn and not seeing the main character as worthy.

I’ve see some people speculate that Melli and Penny may be related due to having similar eye shapes. Melli’s eyes, while similar to Penny’s are quite different. Melli had a distinct light pupil/shine, and they are completely different colours. In addition to this during several cut scenes in SV, and in her full trainer art card in the tcg, Penny is shown with her eyes fully open, implying her usual, heavy lidded look is more due to her expression than her actual eye shape. The fact that they share no other physical qualities (Penny is very short and the offical PLA guide reveals Melli extremely tall. In the range of 7ft), or colours, pokemon teams, or design elements, and the fact that Penny is of Galarian Heritage while Melli is implied to be of Sinnoh/Kalos heritage makes it even more unlikely that they are related.
Melli and Penny have the same eyes. (It's sort of hard to tell because Melli is sneering in his official art). I wonder if he's her ancestor?
