It worked thank you! If you encounter the problem that I did with signing into the apple store and it tells you it is temporarily unavailable: Click the apple logo in the top left corner of the screen, click restart, it will restart and say internet recovery and may make u sign into your internet connection again. Once the internet recovery is done loading, the utilities menu will pop back up and you can continue where you left off. I had to go through that and when I went to "Reinstall OS X" again, I was able to reinstall the original osx that came with it which was Mountain Lion and i was able to successfully sign into the apple store. So if you first encounter a problem with signing into the apple store with your apple ID and password and you know for sure you are typing the correct ID and password just restart the machine and you should be fine after restarting your mac. Hope this info helps someone because I was freaking out at first lol.

It's take quiet long time waiting it for restore. But thank you so much.... I've searching for Os x Yosemite for a while. Others video told me to hit the 'shut down button and option for the same time but i can't find the second disk. Now 'my love' has been restore clearly.

I just bought my macbook pro yesterday but when i set it up i realized i wanted to change my standard account to something else this resulted in me watching this video, i didnt read the reviews until after i began the process and was extremely scared that something would go wrong with patience it worked with no issues if you are having this same issue THIS IS THE PERFECT METHOD OF RESET

Make sure your wifi is connected while in recovery screen . Then press instal OS. That will surely do the work .
This is rly nice to do about once a year. Helps clean up the mac and make it feel like new again.

So i went to do the factory reset, and i erase the hard drive like showed. and now when i go to install the hard drive, i get the message "could not find installation information for this machine. contact apple sup[port"
that is because his dumbass doesn't explain the process well. Now I have to get a stupid new SSD for me mac

Very well explained. But people need to know how to back up all data and sign out of all accounts. Like: Disauthorize itunes, icloud, imessages. If those steps are not done correctly, there may be a problem with installation.
