After restarting the computer it causes an error making it impossible to re-install Mac OS. You will just get an error saying the install on the server has been damaged. Once this happened I had to recover my drive from a time machine back up and start all over again. This was not made clear in the video. Don't make the same mistake I made.

Huseyin has the real solution for the Mac I am working on, and all all he did was write a comment. Don't waste your time watching this video if you have an a2338 model or later. I followed these instructions. Chose the APFS option as told. Then I When I try to reinstall I get this message. “Could not create a pre boot volume for APFS install”. Now I’m stuck.
For some reason when I hold down Command R after booting I get a 🚫 symbol and then the iMac shuts off. Holding down Command Option R doesn't do anything so I can't use Internet recovery mode either. Any ideas?

The update started off at 3/4ths of the way finished, but still said it had 4 hours left, which was kinda weird. After about an hour or two the bar was full, but it still said there were 2 hours left. Then a notice popped up saying there was an error updating the mac and I had to restart the updating process. It’s now updating again, and it’s starting off the same way. I am worried. What can I do if it keeps having this error? Update: The update failed again.

Guys please noted that you will need an internet connection when selecting restore mac OS. Seems like he missed out to mention that. So i just did mine without an internet connection, so mine is stuck and cannot log into mac until stable internet to reinstalling the os.
Great video, however, I fail to see the point in signing out of texts. music, etc., when the HD will be erased and O/S reinstalled. It seems unnecessary, but I guess it can't hurt.
What if you forgot your password for the iCloud or laptop? In my case it's the laptop password I forgot and want to reset it it start fresh.. would you the steps remain the same?

I have a 2019 Macbook Pro 15 inch laptop, OS Mojave. And I've been hearing a lips in videos and movies. It's also running hot when I stream movies. I also have Boom installed, but when I turn off Boom I still hear the lisp. Should I restore it back to OS Mojave? Would upgrading to OS Monterey fix this? Or is it a problem with the Mac hardware itself?

Just remove the device from icloud account. You don't have to perform all these tasks. Format your hdd w cmd R
