I am praying for you Jonathan. The load that you are carrying must be so heavy at times but remember what Jesus said. Come to me you who are heavy laden and I will give you rest. Many people are praying for you because you’re making a huge impact on the world. Your eyes on him and not on the world. I pray that you have some godly men by your side that are checking on you and how you’re doing all the time.

I was at an epiphany get together and we ended up having a chat about the chosen and told everyone about this doc. I shared your surrender story which none of my friends ever heard before. I had tissues on that part when you opened the checks. Im on day 7 of the surrender Novena on Hallow and I think I'll be praying it for the rest of 2024. As a Catholic, I have been dragging my husband to mass all these years. Then he started watching snippets of The Chosen on TH-cam. Then we watched the first season - and for the first time, I saw my husband finally understand why following our Lord Jesus Christ is so important. Now I don’t have to drag him very much as he now actually wants to go to mass. This show has been a huge blessing for my family. Thank you and prayers for you.

This just shows how the world is hungry for Jesus. Jesus is all we need. Thank you, Jonathan, for remaining humble all through the process.

I have been praying for Jonathan (and with him on the Hallow app) since the series became so big. Jonathan has done such an amazing job of portraying Jesus to the world, it is no wonder that some people become confused. I pray for them, too. Just keep pointing the world to Jesus, and be Jonathan.

@Christisking0777 he's an actor. He's aptly playing the part of God in flesh. Showing how he was human, humble, yet authoritative. He's not a "false teacher" - he's an actor playing a massive role. His biggest flaw at this time is responding, "Hello!" When people say, "Hello Jesus!!" I think he should smile and politely correct them by stating, "I'm Jonathan. " But perhaps this is what this docufilm is attempting to do in some way. Separate the man playing the Character of Christ from the Savior Himself.
@Christisking0777 Christ IS King. Jonathan is an actor playing Jesus. The script, while based on scripture, also contains fictional elements. The Chosen is not authoritative; it is not the Word of God. However, it is my belief that God can use The Chosen to reach people and to bring them into the Church.
God used Balaam's donkey to relay a message to the corrupt prophet en route to curse a nation. God can use anyone. Focus less on the actor and more on the messgae. Read your Word daily. Don't allow the enemy to distract you from what is TRULY important: The Good News of the Gospel. But if you deem it all laughable, then keep laughing. I wish you more Joy than mere happiness this year of 2024!

I live in Belgium. Not long ago, my sisters and I crossed the road 50 meters away to sing Christmas carols to our 101-years-old neighbor (without lying, we hadn't seen her for 20 years, we went there at the instigation of my father). She was so happy during the hymns that she wept when she spoke of the Lord. At one point I said to her frankly: "You know, what we're singing here is nothing, when the veil of this life will be lifted, you're going to see Jesus, you're going to see his eyes full of love, you're going to be in his glory, with all the angels singing in heaven..." She burst into tears and said : "Is that true? I'm just waiting for this, I want to see him, I can’t wait, I'll say sorry for all the hurt we've done to him... What could I give him?..." "Your heart is enough for him," I replied. "So, he's got it, it's entirely his". Needless to say, we all found ourselves crying, stunned to experiment such a moment. Indeed, if religion is common in my country, faith is rare. Later, when I came home, I too said to the Lord I couldn't wait to see what face he faced... He has given so many extraordinary faces to the sons of men... But his is the one most worthy of admiration. Jonathan, may God help you again in the rest of the filming of this wonderful series, and above all, may you meet him more and more, as he is. "A delightful inheritance has fallen to me..." (Ps. 16:6) « He must increase, but I must decrease. » (John 3.30)

We are watching it as a family (mom, husband, teenage daughter and me). We have cried and laughed together. Paused it when someone is deeply touched and wants to comment. Rewind it when we missed a word. It has impacted our lives tremendously during this hard times. The only thing I can say is Thank-you for bringing the love of God and Jesus into our homes. So, maybe the next step would be to take the actual Bible and read it. It's important to have that background to distinguish what comes from the Lord and is reflected in the series and what is just a director's imagination.

As I (a 70 yr old woman) lay in a bed in a post acute rehab because I fell and even though I didn’t break anything I couldn’t walk I watched the docuseries and it was very touching. I know it was the prayers from friends and family that helped my get through the last 3 months. And it was God who brought me the right people to help with the healing process. I’m now able to leave the facility able to walk again. And my healing started with a dream of Jesus telling me to get up, take my bed and walk. Loved “Jonathan & Jesus”.

This documentary is truly amazing. Not only seeing the impact that the show is having around the world, but sharing the very personal side of your journey and giving us a glimpse into what you deal with daily is eye-opening. I've long said of the Chosen and of Jonathan's portrayal of Jesus that the closest thing I can compare it to is that instant connection you feel when you meet someone that reminds you of your best friend. That's what I feel when I watch Jonathan play Jesus. The way he plays Jesus reminds me of how Jesus speaks to me, and how He loves me and forgives me, and there's an instant connection with the show becuase of that. It feels so Holy Spirit inspired. I can't imagine the weight of pressure to play such an important character. I'm glad he said yes though, the show has definitely blessed me so much.
The best thing about Jonathan is that he wants everyone to pray no matter what their denomination

I love what the man said: “It’s a lot of pressure but some people are going to form an opinion about God based on you”. This is true for many, if not all, Christians. This is why we must strive to be holy and display the fruit of the Spirit in our daily lives.
I’ve prayed quite a few times for Jonathan, God is stirring the earth for His coming..I remember actually praying a very long time ago something like, “Lord, here we are 2,000 years later..yearning, aching to see You. Please give us an appetizer for the main course.” That is what I think God is doing with the Chosen and of course, Jonathan was born not only to be God’s child but to be His instrument, His spoon of stirring. I’m from a small town in Louisiana and try to live a life that honors the sacrifice Jesus made for us. I cannot begin to image the weight you must feel portraying Jesus, knowing that for many this is the only exposure they may have of what he did for humanity. I pray for you daily. This world needs moreJesus right now! And you have been chosen to depict the chosen, by the chosen. I think its because you're a natural, you're authentic, you're meek, and humble and it comes through in your energy, all blessings from God! Right now I'm dreading Good Friday because of the connection I have with your God given ability to connect. Hold onto the fact that an incredible team of visionary people created this expression of Jesus for this moment in time. Your life is and will be forever changed because of the iconic character you played, and the way you poured yourself into playing it. I’m a cradle Catholic who left the church after college. I was done with all of it. Two years ago I was in a dark place in life, your Divine Mercy testimony “randomly” came up for me as a suggested video on You Tube. (God is not random, He put it there for me). I didn’t know who you were, or what The Chosen was, but I knew the Divine Mercy, so I watched. By the end, I was a sobbing mess. Then I looked up The Chosen and binge watched. A few days later I was back at Confession and Mass, after over 20 years. So, in episode 4, seeing the video you made that day of your surrender as you opened those checks touched me so much. Thank you for sharing that. Wonderful documentary. (The security tag moment touched my heart as well). You are in my prayers.
What is amazing is this explains why God said not to make any images of Him. Although every person is an image bearer of God, I think Jonathan may be experiencing what happens when people want to displace their worship of the Authentic onto an image bearer. We're praying for you, Jonathan. That you are able to weather the current season in life you are in and come out the other side with a new form of faithfulness to God and for those around you to see you as you are; an actor portraying a role. I’ve been watching The Chosen since 2020 during the quarantine. It has changed my life. In 2021, I was teaching at a Christian school and watched all of season 1 with my middle schoolers. At the end of each episode, they would collectively say, “Ohhhh!” frustrated that it ended. It was amazing to see their excitement and to hear them beg for more. You truly brought Jesus to life for them (and me). I know that you deeply feel the responsibility of the role you play. I pray for you and hope you are not discouraged. You are doing God’s work. I certainly realize that you are not Jesus Christ, but the show is called the chosen, and I believe you were personally chosen for this position. You definitely have some big shoes to fill and I must say you do a great job. For me, as a longtime Christian, the chosen brings the Bible to life for me. Things that I have read even as a child, and throughout adulthood now makes sense . sometimes I feel as if this series was placed at this time of life when we are in such perilous times and so close to the end of the age. My hope is that the series brings millions if not billions to Christ so one day we will all be in heaven together. Thank you truly thank you I’m sure it’s not easy playing this role. My family and I just watched the first episode and it was completely eye-opening. After we went to go see the Jesus Revolution, my mom said that playing Lani(not sure I spelled his name right) was indeed a blessing from God. Nothing is coincidental. God bless and we can't wait to watch the rest.
Jonathan, I have just watched the documentary on Prime and I have to say, it touched me very deeply. I have loved and rewatched over and over The Chosen. I love seeing the disciples as just regular people. Many times we Christians forget that they really were normal people. I mean think about it, this man convinces you to leave your life and follow Him. Okay I’m ready to do that Lord, but how? Now others are lining up to choose sides and you are in the middle because of the man you know is the messiah but really what will that mean to you? Are we going to arm ourselves, fight the Romans and drive them from our homeland? Are the Romans going to kill me and my family first? I mean to us as children the apostles were just extensions of Jesus. As we get older and reread the Bible again and again we can see they were ordinary people who had the privilege and love to follow Him from the beginning and even give their lives to give us all we need to know about Him and his love for us. So what I’m saying is it’s interesting and in a lot of instances fun to meet these saints we learned about only as saints and not regular humans. Jonathan with your portrayal of our savior you are allowing us once again to give us insight to Him as a man with an overwhelming amount of love for all mankind that He inspired and taught others to continue to build His church after He had been resurrected. To give their whole lives for one purpose, to spread the word, to bring more people into the salvation of Jesus. I have never watched you as anyone other than a talented actor giving us a glimpse into what our Jesus may have been like on earth, loving everyone, showing and teaching the way to salvation through Him. But with your portrayal I find it very comforting to see in the show the depth of His kindness and pure devotion to do the will of His Father our Lord God. It’s almost like getting a big warm bone crunching hug from Jesus, allowing me to smile and get on with my life feeling that warm hug daily. Continued blessings to you for bringing a big smile and warm fuzzy for this life long Christian and devoted follower of our savior Jesus Christ. For anyone who hasn’t stopped to watch this entire documentary…oh my. I don’t think anyone could ever understand the responsibility and joy and burden this role must be. I find myself praying for Jonathan. Praying for Truth to stay at the forefront of his delivery, countenance, and heart! The very idea that he, portraying Jesus, may be some people’s first “encounter” with Christ is staggering and must weigh on him continually. May God guide his and the entire production’s steps…

I just love your portrayal of Jesus. I think it’s the best I’ve ever seen. I’ve been a Christian over 45 years. I’m not Catholic but you’re my favorite “Jesus” of any Jesus movies.

How You Can Have Eternal Life ! Realize you are a sinner being sorry. Sin is lying, evil thoughts, lust,etc. Therefore, do not trust in your own works to go to heaven because you realize, being a sinner, you cannot offer the perfect blood sacrifice that God requires to pay for sin. Instead, believe, meaning fully trust, that in Christ's love for you, on the cross, His one perfect blood sacrifice, when Christ bled, suffered and died, in your place, paid for your sins in full, past, present and future ! Believe that Jesus rose from the dead ! Believe Jesus is God Almighty, God the Son, alive for evermore ! And believe that the sinless blood of Jesus Christ is what cleanses you from all sin, which purifies your soul ! Then the Lord Jesus will forgive you,save you from hell and give you eternal life ! I love Jonathan Roumie, and adore his portrayal of my Savior on the Chosen. Praying the Rosary with him on Hallow is a distinctly special experience I can't recommend enough.

Love the series. Brought me back to the Bible in a fresh way! You came to the ATV and touched my arm asking if I was ok when I fell out during the feeding of the five thousand and I love to joke that I've been touched by Jesus! LOL But joking aside, it moved me that you cared enough about an old nobody lady to take the moment out of important work to check that I was ok. I appreciate hearing people’s stories, struggles, and wisdom from living life with Jesus. And, there is a weight to ministry. Jesus showed us this; he sweated blood. I finished the documentary and was truly moved, especially at the end when the checks came in. When Jonathan said, “God will never abandon you”, really struck a chord with me. That started the waterworks for me 😭
By far the best show I've seen in my lifetime. The way that this show grabs you and takes your soul on a ride you were not prepared for is immense. It is so beautiful to see such an amazing creation come to life through such amazing actors, actresses, and film crew. Thank you. Over and over again. Thank you for this series.

I can't imagine the kind of pressure this role could bring to a life. Something I can't get over however and maybe it's just your heritage combined with the accent you use in The Chosen but I cry nearly every episode because no one in the history of film better embodies Christ in the way you do. It's extremely tough for me to imagine Christ as someone standing in front of me as I read the scriptures but like many many others have said, it's tough to not imagine you.
I beg you to remain on your knees every day of your life before the King and to not be led astray.
What an extremely touching documentary. It brought tears and joy.
I love him and how he plays Jesus.
But clearly I know that he is not Jesus nor would I call him Jesus if I saw him on the street, because his name is Jonathan (like King David's best friend)
So my advice to you is this Jonathan: Be the best friend of the True King, just like Jonathan of the Bible, knowing that obviously the place belongs only to him.
Jonathan, David's friend, always remained in second place, but he saved David several times. Their friendship was so great and true that they were more like brothers than friends.

It was beautifully done! There was a raw, honest look at the challenges faced by you, Jonathan, taking on such a monumental role. You shared what a long road it has been and how your faith got you through it. I never tire of your surrender story, which was touched on here. But then intertwined throughout the series, were spiritual leaders, authors, celebrities’ take on what an impact Christ has had on their lives. It was nice to see your sister in there, obviously being so proud of her brother! Historians had fascinating takes on what it would be like to take on such a role. Your willingness to take this on and put yourself out there is quite admirable! I thoroughly enjoyed! A Must See!🙏🏻🙏🏻✝️✝️💕💕

The scene where the woman touches the hem, you portrayed what I imagined so powerfully.
I always try to remember he was a human and felt all the human emotions throughout his life. Watching you play him in this warm relational way made me wish even more that I could have lived during his lifetime and gotten a hug from him.
I pray for protection for your spirit, mind, and emotions as life in the public eye can be so damaging.
Stay grounded to who you are in Christ, not who the world says you are or should be.
As you mentioned - good for those you are interested to see some of the reality you are living with/dealing with - you know the impact you are making around the globe and seem to always take the time and energy to connect with everybody that wants that hug from you..your sincerity comes through so strongly! Hope one day i run into you to get one of those comforting hugs and see that beautiful smiling face :) take care of yourself!🤗

I came here as a fan of The Chosen and left inspired to dive even deeper into my own faith not only because of Jonathan but all of the other individuals that he crossed paths with during the series. What a wonderful gift. I also need to compliment the industry people who took this journey with him. From camera to production to editing and beyond. The "feel" is fantastic! This series was such a breath of fresh air. It challenged my faith, and was a wonderful escape from everything dark in this world.
