Dude, appreciate the effort but it’s the worst tutorial/review whatever that was. Unwatchable

Hello! Great video, thank you! I have a 1M$ question for you please, hopefully you can help me (and many users of the SL as I saw on forums): I struggle to record in sync in Ableton using the SL sequencer. When I launch the sequencer, the midi notes are out of sync. As a plan B, I insert a delay in the preferences settings in Ableton and then use quantize manually in Ableton to compensate afterwards.
Could you please let me know if you are in sync when recording using the sequencer like with the Push for example which is perfectly in sync?
Or I have to accept that I need to insert a delay anyway and then record using the metronome to be somehow in sync and then use quantize?
If you succeed to be in perfect sync in Ableton using the sequencer without inserting a delay compensation in LIVE settings, that would be fantastic if you could share a video? Or at least letting me know how you do it? Thanks again so much for all your videos on the SL, this is great! Love the SL MK3, just this out of sync issue which is killing me:) Thank you!!

The SL MK3 is a great controller. I currently have a cheaper NI controller and an Aura, but thinking about getting a Push3 or waiting to see what Novation drops, controller wise next year. Its going on 5 years on the MK3 and I have a funny feeling they are working on an MKIV, for the SL line, since NI did drop their new one this year. I think they are the only company that competes directly with NI in respect to good midi controllers that are also keyboards. What I like more about them, however, is that they have pads and faders - cough NI.

I definitely agree. The SLMKIII is an amazing midi controller. There's a very small list of complaints from me about it. However, it's ticky tacky stuff. But when you compare it to other controllers, it definitely holds its weight. I think an MKIV is definitely needed, and depending on the upgrades depends on whether I'll buy it or not. I picked this up over NI controller in a big debate. NI new controller didn't do much for me other than have a cool screen and integrate well with their software. I don't get why NI doesn't build a hybrid controller half board half maschine other than they don't wanna lose sales of their maschine series. I would jump on that in a heartbeat. I have the Arturia 88 integrate, and it integrates well with Arturias software. However, for production, the SLMKIII takes the cake for me. It'll be an interesting year for new equipment coming soon.

I have Subscribed because I see the knowledge that you have using Novation SL MK3 and I really need that kind of help. Thank you very much.
