Great swatch fest. Thanks! Recently discovered fountain pens (yes, I fell hard) and your channel. I'm a transplant to PA and, when I went down the inky rabbit hole, I looked for a local company to patronize. I love Birmingham Pen Co! You said it well... I love their aesthetic. And I really like that they encourage people to be creative and play with the inks they buy. I haven't started mixing them yet (first need to fully catalog what I've got!) but I'm really looking forward to that aspect of the hobby.
Omgosh.!! Now I wish I had gotten the deal of the first 5 you swatched.! I do have the inks you have swatched on the second page of Birmingham inks.! I love their inks.

I love BPC inks. I have Pennsylvania Fieldstone (which is one of my favorites) and I have Terracotta. I have a set coming soon also. Waiting for it to ship. Thanks for sharing. I am loving the eroded bonze and the weeping willow.

I use construction paper cut down as blotting paper. Lots cheaper and no issues.

I have Iron Ore, and I find it unclassifiable (red-brown-gray?). There's a bit of red in it, too. I love Birmingham Pen Co, partly because of the really interesting, partly unclassifiable inks. Leftie here. I have a piece of blotting paper (cut down to page size) in all of my notebooks. Does double duty as a bookmark.
