    Just wanted to mention: the Vinta ink is Dugong Bughaw not Duzong Bughau, it's Tagalog for "blue blood" as in someone born into a rich family/nobility. Sorry, I know people think youtube comment corrections are annoying, I just can't resist since my country isn't exactly popular and I don't get a lot of chances to share anything about it. Anyway loved the vid, I can't buy a lot of ink so I always love seeing vids where people show off and talk about their ink :)

      Thank you for this! I am Filipino but I am sorry to say my Tagalog is not great, growing up in Canada. I appreciate the correction!

    Celadon is a type of ceramics style characterized by the jade hue of the glaze and simple designs. It originated in China but was perfected by the Korean people and its one of their most well known ceramics styles. I love celadon and I also recently purchased celadon cat ❤

      The sheen with shimmer combo surprised me too but it just works! And you inspired me with Teranishi Opera Rose and Dominant Industry Autumn Forest!

    KWZ Brown-Pink and Pillars of Creations are two of my favorites. Vintage Bugong is great, but it should be put into a pen that can be disassembled for cleaning. The Wearingeul inks you mention are all interesting (but I put them in wet medium or broad nibs). Of the Birmingham Pen Co inks, Pennsylvania Slate is a favorite. Yule log is great. I like Autumn Forest. Enjoy your inks, and happy exploring of new colors.

    I ordered Teranishi Opera Rose because of you! I'm going to put in in a fountain pen that's pink and reminds me of cherry blossoms. I also love dusty pink/browns so your recommendations are right up my alley!

    Another fun one. I agree with you about Bleu Azur, which I think I sent you. Will have to try out more Dugong since I do have the bottle. I like the sheening ones. So funny that Barley is not a favorite of mine. Will probably still have the rest of the bottle when the SF show rolls around again and will bring it if you're planning to attend. Or let me know if you run out before, and I'll ship. Will have to check out my PA Fieldstone because I think it looks different from the one you have. Thanks!

    Beautiful selection! Thank you for the video! I have steered more and more towards saturated, well flowing inks that behave well (no bleeding and easy clean). My recent favorite is Diamine Poinsettia. And my biggest disappointment was Teranishi Opera Rose. I expected more pink color and however bold nibs I use with it it's just too pale for me. I also dislike shimmer so I think we have quite different tastes. But it's all the more fun!

    I like them all. Some are my favorites as well. I tend to gravitate towards Moss Park Green over Peter Moss, but I have and like them both. I haven't inked up Parol yet, not sure why. It is such a cool ink. I want to try Autumn Forest in a 1.1 nib. I had it in a fine nib but I think I will get the full effect in the 1.1. Thanks for sharing.

    This is why I transitioned to pointed dip calligraphy which makes all the problem characteristics in even the inks whose colors your loved a non issue. Only important thing with dip calligraphy is flow and surface tension.

    I just got into this hobby this month. Inks excite me as much as the pens! BTW, also Filipino so it's nice to see you chose a Vinta. I was gifted a vial of very dark sheening ink but the one who gave it to
    Me forgot what the color is called. Did say it was from a Christmas edition. Also gave me a red from the same collection. My green might be Parol but haven't used it as I'm saving it for when I get a green pen. 😊

      @KarynaLovesToPlan  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It may be Vinta Parol, if it has shimmer in it, too? If so, I loved that one!

    Hi Karyna! I like so many of the ink colors that you love. Just wondering...which one would you rank higher, Diamine Celadon Cat or Robert Oster Sydney Darling Harbour and why? Which one of the two is wetter?

    • @KarynaLovesToPlan
      @KarynaLovesToPlan  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      This is a tough one because they're different colours. I like them both. I think Darling Harbour is a tad wetter than Celadon Cat. Good luck!

    I also gave away my little bottle of Herbin Bleu Azur. Just too light. I love sheening inks so your hates have given me some new ones to hit :) I can't with dry inks either. I want juicy wet ink. And I use M and B. I love BPC inks. They are very rich and the flow is awesome. Diamine inks are some of the best behaved inks ever. Pnly the Iroshizuku inks match them.

    Unfortunately I can't see any shimmer on the swatches, maybe if you could zoom in and wiggle the paper in the light it might be visible and not so flat. I was surprised to really like Maple 🍁 with the almost corally orange tone. Celadon has been on my wishlist for a while but I thought it would be too light, but your swatch wasn't too light at all. So now it might be coming home at some point. So many inks, so little money! 😇🩵🙏🙌

    I really want to love Autumn Forest (the color combo is stunning), but I feel like it is giving me such a hard time. Currently have it in a TWSBI mini with a medium nib, and maybe that is just not the right pen for it. I usually do well with TWSBIs and shimmer though!

    • @KarynaLovesToPlan

      @deniseplasse5126 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I too absolutely adore the colors in Autumn Forrest the color is near perfection in the first 50 letters, and I would just give half my ink collection to get the shimmer to remain consistent throughout the writing sample (even just a few sentences). I have tried many many pens. However I find few companies know how to do shimmer to perfection … but that isnt going to stop me from trying 😉😍

    Lie de the is from the same range as the cafe one 'j herbin' is older labelling before they dropped the 'j'
    Sbre Brown is still here on TH-camr. He's good value for the fountain pen community. I have too much of that ink though because when I was buying it there was only 120ml options

    No real disapponting inks this year. Mention goes to Herbin Rouge Bourgogne which tends to Magenta, but then again, it was the colour for 2023. Pens out of favour goes to one of my Noodler's Ahab, and Herbin fountain pen that has a converter that rivals the Pilot Con-40 for least liked. Aside, 2023 was a good year for pens & inks, hope it carries to 2024, Year of the Dragon.

    • @KarynaLovesToPlan
      @KarynaLovesToPlan  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I understand about the Pilot Con-40 - why such a horrible converter for such great pens?

  • @ichirofakename
    @ichirofakename 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

    1. So many beautiful, unusable inks.
    2. The Brown-Pink reminds me of Noodler's Red-Black, which is brown. It drove me crazy till in my mind I renamed it Red-Brown. It's a nice enough Red-Brown. The real name accurately represents its contents, a mixture of red and black, but so what, the result is brown.
    3. I would love to see some ink paintings of yours.
    4. Yule Log for the win.
