Excellent review Mike, I think you said a while back that you were going to include links to tracks used (when reviewing a car), would be great if you could provide a shout out for the track mod/designer and link. All the best.
I bought the league pack, which in the Netherlands is ~15 euros, not 20. Yes, I understand the disappointment, but we can't deny the 26 car, which is absolutely amazing and so detailed, and its sister car with that V12, damn! It's obvious they had to make a sacrifice, and they chose to do that with the 24 car. From my side, I am happy with both chassis of 23 and 24. I, for one, prefer the chassis of 23 over 24 anyway, and the physics and sounds are so freaking good. It's still nice they bothered updating the 23 spec to have some enjoyment of it for a little longer. Another note, as Mike himself said, these guys are making the chassis and interpreting the rules themselves instead of copying another team's chassis, which is freaking awesome and shows the expertise. I just can't be disappointed. I really wonder what the rest of you think about this! :)
@@oh.Em1ly omfg i thought they meant the actual wheels/tyre's lmao!!!!! That makes so much more sense now 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 never once Steering wheels crossed my mind
RSS' car is very pleasant but feels almost too easy, the VRC's one puts you more on the edge and make you feel that kind of "danger", a real intimidating machine like a Formula 1 should be. Great review as always, thanks a lot !
I understand the world is hyped because of F1, but I agree with what RSS did here. I would do small improvements for free (for previous owners) and focus on other cars, like completing the WEC grid.
6:55 the only gripe with the car is: as a livery designer, i was expecting a new chassis to dabble with. They could have went the VRC route and copied an F1 chassis. But to reuse the FH2023 chassis, to me, was a bit disappointing. Especially when the release was so late. They could have released this mod as yearly update to the FH2023 and made a post saying they were focusing on the F2, F1 2026, and the V12. And I would have been fine with that. But to hold off all these months for an update to the FH2023, was a wild decision IMO
@F-Man i know that. But why not release this update earlier? Why hype up the FH2024 with the late launch to ultimately be a FH2023 update? The FH2023 released in May of 2023... they could have released the FH2024 back in May as a yearly update... why release it in November of 2024 and within a bundle? RSS should have been transparent with the FH2024 is all I'm saying. And VRCs FA2024 is pretty much the RB20 chassis and the FA2023 was pretty much AMR23 chassis... which I'm fine with. At least they changed the chassis this year.
@@p8ntbawlr210Well, your comment was saying that RSS should have released FH24 as a yearly update to FH23, which is precisely what they did. Beyond that, Formula 1 chassis designs are, of course, big time intellectual property - pretty ground breaking on your part to accuse VRC of having copied a chassis design - that would be quite defamatory to state in a public setting like this.
@F-Man if you can't see the similarities of the chassis. Then that's on you. Like I said, I don't care if they used real chassis or not. What I'm saying is the FH2024 was hyped to no end because of the lack of transparency from RSS until almost at launch. To wait until almost the end of the year to bring an update to the FH2023, is wild to me. That update should have been released months ago and give a reason to why they weren't releasing an actual FH2024. Like I said, "we put FH2024 on the back burner cuz we are working on the FH2026, F2 2024, and the V12R." And I'd be okay with that. And I'm not bashing VRC in any way. I'm saying RSS could have gone that route and I would have been happy. Talking about legal and defamation. Stfu with that shit lil bro
@@SimRacing604 Everything is subjective, isn't it? For some, it's the official F1 game... but if we are talking about physics, FFB and details/realism, I mean, FA24 probably has the best ffb in simracing at the moment.
@itshammertimeF1 Pretty much, if you want a car that handles like a real F1 car, down to every part of the setup making it either fast or undriveable, the FA24 is it. For people who can't be bothered reading a manual, looking for setups or making their own, there's always the Formula Hybrid. Truth is F1 cars are complicated and definitely not "pick up and drive with no regard for setups" in real life.
@@Dan-Mezza and yet, not a single F1 driver has stated the FA24 handles like a real F1 car. The fact that the pace is multiple seconds too quick makes me think it does not handle like an F1 car at all.
@@chas1723 Not a single F1 driver has driven it as far as I know (same for the last couple Hybrids), what we do have is multiple onboards with limited telemetry, and only the VRC car seems to match the driving from those.

RSS should focus on the GT3 cars and hypercars and leave the formula cars to VRC
Nah, I think RSS's simcade/casual approach to their mods is popular with a lot of players
This, and they should pray that VRC isn't coming for GT3 cars too
Why does that F1 car have a GSI Hyper P1 steering wheel?
Because they partnered with GSI and everyone who bought the League Pack could register to win the GSI Hyper P1. However, the contest has ended.
@jeremyswanzy851 Thanks for your reply.
I was hoping they added different options for wheels. Really adds to the immersion
Can you elaborate? What do you mean by different options for wheels? Like coverless wheels?
@@p8ntbawlr210 they mean steering wheels like how they vary on the VRC
