Thanks for the comparison! I will say, I have to echo your experience! 309 Machine ported my 500i and it is just amazing! Like you stated they are fast, top notch customer service, great communication, and produce an amazing finished product! I was hoping someone would produce a video like this! Thank you!
Wow. Good comparison fellas! I sent pumpkin this video, he’s been thinking about having one of his 500’s ported. Great video, you got wanting a 500i 😉😂
@@EricChmelarsky Well I’m pretty impressed with my 400 just the way it is! I think for a 68cc saw it feels snappier than it should because of the titanium piston! It has great chain speed just not as much torque. I love the power to weight but was curious just how fast it would get with a port job🤷♂️
You must make a video versus the 592... I think in smaller would the 500i is going to win because it has a higher RPM around 14,000 versus the 592 only spins about 12,500... But a bigger would it should be interesting... Either way I would take that 500 I it's about 5 lb lighter than the big clunky 592
@@kennethrobinson5151 I’ll have to find a stock 661 or 592 to make a video on, I don’t have my 592 anymore. Last time we weighed the 592 and 500 I think the 592 was 1-2 pounds more than the 500. Definitely not 5 pounds but I agree it feels noticeably more than the 500i. I appreciate your input and thanks for watching!

Wow, quite an improvement 👏.
500i likes to be under load. My only gripe is, dont get too far away from the gas can, thirsty she is.😢
Wow! I wonder how much more 309 could get out of a 400c😁 Great comparison Genin👍🏻👍🏻
@@toddsoutsideagain maybe you’ll have to find out 🧐😂
I'm sitting here thinking the same exact thing. Wonder what they could do on the 400c? Ya gotta admit, she needs some help, especially with 24" bar.😊

why u run skip chain on the 36? u don't think it would be faster with full comp?
@@julianlaustsen1991 I think over 32” bar full skip handles chips better. Full comp may be faster but it doesn’t disperse chips near as well.
Notice much difference starting without compression release?
@@leewatson3351 not really, maybe the first cold pull of the day is a little tougher but nothing to concerning.
