Boracay is one of the best places to go to. A lot of people say to avoid it because it's too touristy and I get that but it's worth it for me. I've been there and gone back a lot of times and I'm still not tired of it. Key is really to choose the time of year to go to. Best sand, beautiful sunsets.
Yeah it comes down to preference! If you don’t mind the crowds, then the water, sand, and sunsets are incredible! The sunset sailing was the best for me. But if you prefer to be alone on a quiet beach, it’s probably not for you then. Just depends on what you’re looking for!
I completely agree. I was there a year ago and LOVED it. So many people said to avoid it due to crowds or it's overrated, so I only booked two nights and two (partial) days there. It rained and was cloudy one of the days, so I ended up only having half my stay so-so semi-sunny. But Boracay is an absolutely amazing place!!!! I wish I stayed there 3 to 5 days. So beautiful to just walk your bare feed around the white sand beaches, explore restaurants and shops, night time bars and clubs are always happening. For anyone who complains that it's over crowded - STOP. I mean, go to Bangkok during Songkran and everyone raves how amazing it is, but it's probably 1000 times more crowded. Enjoy the beautiful beaches of Boracay. It's not Palawan, it's not Coron, but it is truly a beautiful place with both peace and life.
@@chasvonplatten1298just got back from Boracay yesterday. Water is clear. No algae. I asked hotel staff and she said that algae bloom is usually from January to March, and is clear by June.
It's good to hear you had a good experience. I will not go back. (After 2 times) It was two of the worst experiences I've had. Paid a lot for the hotels and service was the worst and I'd rather visit the slums and have better service. Included breakfast was either cat or dog food or at least it seemed and tasted like it; although I've never eaten dog or cat food. Orange juice was sunny D. Island hopping; they skipped 3 islands. I've been on better beaches that are not even mentioned in brochures. Just to get to Boracay was a challenge. I could go on; but I don't want to destroy anybodies dreams of going there.
I use southwest tours when arriving, it's around $20 usd, van at airport to boat shuttle pier, private lounge, they handle all the passport details. Private boat to boracay, and van shuttle to your hotel, airbnb etc. I've done both ways, well worth the $20 to me.
To answer your geography question that you asked on the tricycle: The main island is the island of Panay, it's relatively big, composed of four provinces. Boracay is part of Aklan province. The other provinces on Panay are Iloilo, Antique, and Capiz.
I’ve been traveling regularly to the Philippines since 2017, and at the beginning I wanted to visit Boracay, but had the chance to discover many beautiful and quiet islands, Bohol being one of my favorites (not Panglao). Il visit Boracay one day but I still have another 7k islands to explore first 😂. Good to see you back in the Philippines.
Most of the tourists love to visit Boracay Island! Its always a busy place to visit... Best white sand and beautiful sunset..Thanks for sharing your adventure and blessings to you.
People usually upload pics about Boracay's clear water and white beaches, but this is what I want to know. The process of going there. Thanks, Jonathan! I really love your channel.

What makes Boracay beach famous as well is the quality of the sand. It's all natural (meaning not artificially dumped) and is among the finest sand in the world :)

Good morning bro..love waking up to your videos. I've been planning for 2 to 3 years to head over there..and it's finally going to happen! I'll be there around the beginning of March..can't wait. Hey Jonathan! I recently stumbled into some of your vlogs. I would like to express my admiration and appreciation for what you are doing - immersing yourself into the Filipino culture, trying out our food (even the "strange" ones), and developing relationship with my fellow Filipinos. I am originally from Siargao island, but grew up in Metro Manila, and worked and lived in Cebu. I also lived in the UK for many years. Currently, I am based in Singapore. Kudos to you, matey! Non tourist and tourist lanes are not discrimination. It’s just to segregate the actual residents of the island. They have more privileges in the transportation compared to non-residents.
I just came back from Boracay It was super easy. 40 min flight from Manila. And stayed at the Lind. The Lind gives you full transportation to island private boat and van.
i had been to Boracay twice many years ago. First when they dont have a pier and have to carry you on their shoulders to the boat. Rented Catamaran for snorkeling with 7 in our group for $35 and they supplied the equipments. Now so many things have changed. This is now an upgraded, upscale resort! Super nice and beautiful. Must have good fresh seafoods to dine.
Wow I’m excited for this vlog going around Boracay. I’ve been to Boracay years ago, when a friend of a friend had a local friend who gave us a tour of Boracay where most tourists do not go, kind of a secret place, only locals know the place. Since Boracay was fixed because too many tourists were coming in, it became a little expensive. But that’s good for the locals to earn some good money. But still you can find some places where you can buy good food but not expensive. 😊👏
Glad to see your channel grow through the years. I was watching your vlogs when it was around 10K subs or something. :) Glad to see you have 202K subs and growing. Congrats and keep em coming!

Glad you're getting the chance to visit Boracay... It is definitely crowded especially compared to when i first visit in the early 2000s lol... back then, there was no boat dock and we got dropped off in the shallows of the water right at white beach. It was epic. I'll be returning to PI next November so i can't wait to visit Boracay again. Last time i was there was about 5 years ago.

The airline sells express tickets to Boracay from caticlan port around 750 php and they will take you straight to your hotel once your boat docks in boracay. Avoid the hassle of reptetive ques to buy tickets in the port. I believe their is also a fee for being a foreigner or local.
So stressful of paying charges to a different counters 😂. One counter is enough to pay all the charges..makes me stress too. thanks for sharing. God bless.
Jonathan!! Wow! You got the room that we got last time that we were there at Heenan Palm Beach last Nov. 22. I would say that particular Hotel is one of the best Heenan in Boracay. Also, the buffet breakfast is the best there. ❤👍👍
Anyone reading this if u can afford it stay at nice resort have them take care of of your transfers private van from airport to speed boat private van to hotel not much more expensive either
Awww That's a lot of tickets to get Jo lol ....(oooppps please be careful) You almost slip lol Its quiet amazing place to go for sure! Love the RESPECT about not to take video to ramdom people in the pools❤.absolutely incredible adventure! Enjoy
Nice video, Jonathan! The first time is always the stressful one, but as soon as you learn the ins and outs its a breeze compared to other destinations like Cebu or Davao.. We tried doing how you did it Jonathan, its time consuming and tiring but its the cheapest way to do it. If you want to be comfortable, you can try booking a transfer which is available/offered in many faceboom group or via klook, They will pick you up at the airport, you ride an aircon van get into the port everything prepared for you before riding the public boat for a 15 minute ride to the island, finally another ride to an aircon van to your chosen resort.. But the best experience for us is if you book to an expensive resort like Hennan and you book their transfer, private transport via aricon van then they have a private port they use so you can skip the crowded public port, then ride a speedbpat staright to the island before frnally riding another aircon van to your hotel.. :) Like everything else in a vacation, how much you spend depends on your budget and preference. The more comfortable and easy the trip is, the more expensive it gets.. :)
1st floor/2nd floor issue... America is a young country. When floors were common on the '1st floor'. European countries are a lot older. So there was no 'floor' on the '1st floor'. Just a hard packed dirt or clay, perhaps some stone in there. So their 1st floor is the level above the literal 'ground floor'. Curious if other countries also do not have a 13th floor like is common in America. The bad luck of the 13th actually started in France when the King attacked the Templars on a 13th (it was a Friday).
My journey to Boracay was pretty simple. I booked transportation from the airport through the airline (Cebu Pacific.) It included everything - all the way to my hotel, and I had to just look for the Cebu Pacific signs to find all my rides. Way less complicated than what you experienced. lol
Cebu and Bohol, pre internet/social media era, was already well developed for tourism. It's one of the most tourist accessible provinces. Which is why its still a good gateway province for new tourists.
Bro, you should of gotten the whole airport to hotel transfer and you don’t have to do any of that. The Hop On Hop Off mini bus on the island is a must. Takes you from one end of the island to the other. Enjoy.
@@travelescapesOFFICIALdont go to Boracay because its touristy area. Search areas that are not touristy yet like secluded beach - Hundred Islands however accommodation and food are hard to find. Few local tourists but its beautiful. There are many islands that have no people 😅

Like everything else in a vacation, how much you spend depends on your budget and preference.
I’m glad you back brother make more video
My journey to Boracay was pretty simple. I booked transportation from the airport through the airline (Cebu Pacific.) It included everything - all the way to my hotel, and I had to just look for the Cebu Pacific signs to find all my rides. Way less complicated than what you experienced. lol
Last time you were in BGC then the US-Mexico border, and now in Boracay, wow.
nice! i stayed in the same hotel but on the first floor that has access to the pool from the room. i hope you enjoyed your stay
Ohh you had the stairs from the pool onto your porch!
@@travelescapesOFFICIAL yes! at one of the corner rooms. I loved that place! breakfast buffet was also excellent.
Cebu and Bohol, pre internet/social media era, was already well developed for tourism. It's one of the most tourist accessible provinces. Which is why its still a good gateway province for new tourists.
Hello Jonathan! So nice to see you again! 👋
"No more getting distracted!... They have lumpia here..." 😂😂😂
Dude nice! You got a bargain figuring out the transport yourself - It cost me double the price when I arrived and got the organised transport 🫠
You could’ve saved enough for a red horse and halo-halo if you did it this way!🍻
Bro, you should of gotten the whole airport to hotel transfer and you don’t have to do any of that.
The Hop On Hop Off mini bus on the island is a must. Takes you from one end of the island to the other. Enjoy.
I was there 3 months ago, yes it can be crowded, but wow the water is amazing
Jonathan: No more getting distracted.
Also Jonathan .5 seconds later: They have a lumpia right there. That's a good lumpia.
Boracay a nice place mate, people like to complain about it just to look cool
It's a very beautiful island, but if you want the isolated empty beaches it's not there. It's just a matter of preference
@@travelescapesOFFICIALdont go to Boracay because its touristy area. Search areas that are not touristy yet like secluded beach - Hundred Islands however accommodation and food are hard to find. Few local tourists but its beautiful. There are many islands that have no people 😅
I Am really fascinated by the color of your eyes. They are different they like blue but creamy blue 😊
