This is the story of a man who crushed the hopes and dreams of 12 boxers. All of them courageously faced their shortcomings and fears to improve, only to have their hopes and dreams crushed again callously.
Everything gets remixed according to Little Mac's opponent: the music for the fight itself, the track for a downed opponent, even Little Mac's victory theme.
And if you're fast enough and the timing is right, you can punch him with a uppercut in the exact same way and he would go directly down. Or you can also give him the uppercut when he's making a "Boo!", that works the same way. Speedrunners use this method for their runs against both Contender and TD Sandman, as a example.
It's not that complicated tbh, I always make use of it, it doesn't matter whether he is taunting or already delivering the hook, it always connects and KO's him. Edit: Sorry, I thought he was gonna throw a star punch to counter the Dreamland express, I also didn't knew you could do that.
@@cookiecakeeater6340 Okay, I was mistaken. It is next to the fastest way, with the fastest way being to punch in between to get the stars faster. th-cam.com/video/OQeSxNGLwoQ/w-d-xo.html
26:23 can you imagine buying a ticket to a Mike Tyson fight and some scrawny 17 year old knocks him down in just 20 seconds? because this is equivalent to that.
I’ve got some questions: why did you let Soda Popinski drink his soda instead of knocking it out, and why did you lose stamina in the Title Defense Piston Hondo challenge?
If you punch it out he does the same attack as when he gets back up, which after a while I think becomes impossible to dodge which is fine for a speedrun but this run is trying to not take any damage (which is also why it's ok that he lost stamina I think.)

You know why the video stops at the start of Last Stand? That's when going flawless would prolong the run. At this point, Little Mac has peaked and there's nowhere to go but down; he won't get the credits until he loses three times and that consists of doing nothing.
I enjoyed playing punch out for the nintendo wii for the past old years and if i get it again i would contender and title defense and for the first time in title defense i will get great tiger tko
This is what is called a "playaround" AKA, is not aiming for fastest completion time, just showing off If the runner wanted to aim for that, he would've likely done a lot of things differently, like getting the R1 KO on Contender Joe, Contender Kaiser and prolly TD Tiger, knocking the drinks off both Soda Pop fights to avoid healing, thus avoiding making it to R2 with TD, etc.
I am not sure what you meant by " if or you were or weren't serious* " did you mean to say? *I don't know if you are being serious or not but to answer your question, I was not serious when i posted the original comment.
Adam Karim Flawless = perfect series of inputs necessary to achieve a perfect time. Some of these methods (getting hit) shave a few seconds, it’s all intentional.
no offense but this TAS is horribly optimized. you do know you can beat popinski 2 in round 1 right? but you kept letting him heal himself I know someone here said something involving him getting angry and throwing those uppercuts, but at this point I think it would be much faster to just hit the damn bottle.
This is the story of a man who crushed the hopes and dreams of 12 boxers. All of them courageously faced their shortcomings and fears to improve, only to have their hopes and dreams crushed again callously.

This isn't a flawless playthrough. This is a documentary of what would happen if an actual boxer competed in the WVBA.
I agree

Except sandman he is actually worthy but every thing else yeah

I’d like to see a actual boxer fight Donkey Kong lol
I can’t see a normal boxer beating anyone past Disco Kid, these boxers are extremely powerful which is why they don’t box normally

Letting popinski revive himself because you are not intimidated by the size of his health bar has got to be the ballsiest thing I've ever seen. 😯
Actually he has 37 health, which is only 3 more than Glass Joe.
