I had thought Viper would have fun with this mission since in previous ones he's been so set on adding lots of myth units. However, with tons of monuments, several temples and even a god power to boost myth units, only human soldiers lol

Viper, the Citadels are irreplaceable super town centers that you can normally only get by using a god power. By letting them die, you lost a lot of population room permanently.

especially cool as isi usually doesn't get them but has +3 TC pop as a passive. +13 pop citadels are great :3
Sons of Osiris are upgraded Pharaohs usually only obtainable through the godpower of Osiris, being a Mythic Age choice. Usually limited by only ever getting 1, that also can NEVER regenerate. They cant be healed at all. And yes, they are absolutely terrifying. As you witnessed by those 2 completely obliterating your army of chariots.
Vaaaaaatttttttt. Almost 40 vills on wood and you ask why youd dont have any food or gold? Haha. Try to balance more.
Especially when Egyptians barely need wood pretty much only used for chariot archers
Viper says "so much wood" then starts building a ton of fans. Then he says "still so much wood", even though farms cost gold.
Villagers have bonus damage Vs siege Towers, keep that in mind. You could use them to kill the siege and then garrison.
Also citadels give +10 pop more than normal town centers

This mission is one of the hardest. Spamming Spearman, Priests, and Myth Units is the easiest method I've found.
Oh and use walls!!! Walls deter them or give you enough time to move your army to cut them off. That southern entrance should be walled off to protect the gold.
my go-to approach is elephantos, elephantos, more elephantos, myth units and, of course, elephantos ^-^

Twin brother sons of Osiris: quite unfair.
Yes the Son of Osiris is a godpower you obtain by picking Osiris as a minor god for the Mythical age ! You basically click the godpower and click your pharaoh to turn him into a lightning birbman. Can only be used once and if I remember correctly, the Son of Osiris can't be healed. He also has the same abilities as a Pharaoh.
Tip of the day: hunt you fool! Dont waste your gold on farms and faten pigs at start (i think i already said it for another scen).

Every scenario biper has loved myth units, now the option arises and doesn't make them
Also, click on any uint to check their stats. As in DETAILED STATS. Everything is mentioned including what researches they are impacted from and all the relic effects as well. Everything. PS: Myth Units have bonus damage against myth units. Check counter units. The bonus damage is actually a damage multiplier. For example, axemen deal 3.5x their actual damage to infantry. They eat infantry for brunch.
Heal units especially the gold ones!
Play this like you play aoe2. A skilled player like you good self doesnt need auto queue. Just use Units and Siege. Also, priests heal everything. you should consider using them, units and siege a lot more. Good luck!
Abydos (the green player) has a bunch of farms you can take. Build granaries next to them and you'll never have to spend gold on farms this scenario.
Be careful though. There's a handful of spearman guarding them but Amanra by herself can kill these.
The amount of villagers working on every resources is displayed next to your resources.
You had 40 woodworkers , while you needed food.
And 50 farmers when you needed gold.
Nice video, you can finsih this scenario in less than 6 minutes, you just have to send amanra to the door, jump on a unit to pass the door and rush to the transport ship
I never played this level like this. i just went straight for the transport ship, killed the units there and then went to the island. took me like 10min. so well done viper! :P
They updated this Mission,now u need to kill the migdol first
Crannelations(or however it's spelled) upgrade on towers makes your ranged buildings demolish elephants. Keep it in mind for the future scenarios.

Viper here is some advices
1. Always check what is ur main god and what is the bonus he gives. Ex: RA chariot and calvary
2. Check the alt gods by the power what u got. Ex calvary then u can know what type of units better then else. (Sometimes not working, cause u got some random god power wich is not in the line.)
3. Check what type of units use ur enemy if its elephant (like here) u need calvary and spearmen or calvary and chariots + some building counter.
4. Bonus tipp u can do this quest in 5 min whit amanra... so if have hard attacks like here there is some tricks that can give u win in no minits if they leave u making buildings rthen u can prepare better.
This not tipp but the missions get harder from now.

Dramatic music is only when attacking tc (means you will gain territory and pop limit).

I've found that with the limited pop room in AOM, pushing with buildings is somewhat effective
Last but not least, units have three types of attacks (and corresponding armor) viz. Hack (melee), Pierce (ranged) and Crush. Check the units what they are resilient against. Eg. Elephants have a lot of pierce-armor, so they can't be hurt much by chariot archers (or petsuchos for that matter). Similarly, use hack damage units against siege. Crush damage is best against buildings (Eg. Seige units and Collosi and scarabs and Fire giants).
There is a way to turtle this mission its with the tornado lions,but u gotta wall the downside

@AxentiumZ don't blame him, this scen is very unbalanced, you must be an expert on titan level. But he learns fast that animal: look at the second game (perhaps thanks to some of my advices by the way).

Dont forget buildings upgrades in tower.
In Viper's defense - his myth unit army got bodied in pretty much every encounter. He _has_ had success with Elephants and Chariots, even if they're in some of the easiest missions in the entire campaign. He has _not_ had success with Egyptian myth units.

one thing you should know about this game: THERE IS NO POP CAP! The Population cap comes from your towncenters, so if you take over more towncenters your popcap will increase

Only towers guarded by walls or pos buildings with crenelations are good vs elephants. even hops and spear lose.
you need hard counters against elephants, yes. your own jarls or elephans do decently against them as well. Also, myth units with insta kills are grrrreat. Spearmen, thus, only work well with the age 4 upgrades (which isis doesn't get anyways).

Mistakes were made!
From what I understand, they're not called "Civs" in Age of Mythology. They're called "Cultures" according to the game files. Or "Gods" that works too! And yes, Son of Osiris is a god power. Age IV: Mythic Age god power under Osiris. Who also provides a second pharaoh as well. Hope that helps!
civ/culture = egypt, greek, etc.
major God = Set, Zeus, etc.

They already paid for the myth units
I just run whenever I see a son of Osiris on the field. You need to have a lot of units(not myth) to overpower him. Myth unit melt against him. You just experienced the power of two sons of Osiris. Another thing to remember while playing the Egyptians is that gold is the most important resource.
Also, Chariots are good in multiplayer where you need to raid. There are no normal units for Egyptians, they are only good at making counter units(only strong as skirms) from the barracks until the mythic age
Also, Ajax, what a lad
If you need to destroy buildings, seriously consider using Egyptian Catapults. They have very long range and do an INCREDIBLE amount of damage to buildings. They will level towers in just one or two hits. They are WAY better than the Greek Petrobolos.
Catapults arent available here tho as u need mythic age for them.

The only thing that wasn't your fault were the three Son of Osiris'. I laughed out loud when you used the God Power to reveal them. The funny thing is that you're only supposed to have one and I never even saw them advance to the Mythic Age with Osiris, probably a NPC hack
You could have just rushed with starting troops :D and no... there is no need to destroy their base first... just go for the docks :D
Hopefully now you've learned that you really can't go full ranged in this game like you can in AOE2. it is critical to have melee units because every culture has a few hard counters to ranged units (like buildings, elephants, and siege units), but those counters tend to be pretty hopeless against melee fighters.

The hotkey bug is quite annoying in steam version, i know of a way to fix it but it would be considered desync prone by the game in multiplayer (even if there's actually no risk for sync). It could be interesting to you Viper if you don't plan to play multiplayer on steam version
Basically it consists in changing the DefaultHotkeyMap.xml file in game repository/data, it's possible to make and launch that change as a mod so that it can be reverted easily if needed
I just watched your AoM game with Daut in Twitch. I don't have this game anymore, but you should search up the build for Athena Rush (very strong against norse civs in particular and can eliminate them). If you want to learn watch Keen Gaming
In fact, I am pretty sure Zeus is keeping Loki and Thor from top tier and Odin is basically crap
The main army is Hoplites (which do 2x damage vs buildings because of Zeus) and you have archers for support to take out heroes and stuff. Norse players rely on the cart for drop offs, and if you destroy TC and all carts then that player is dead

Depending on the difficulty the scenario will spawn in more special units and use more godpowers. If he was on hard or normal there might just be one of those.
I don’t like this hero because it jumps around randomly and easily put itself in a weird scenario. I like Atlantis heroes better. Easier to control.
