Fight sticks won't improve your skill, you will. They are the best option however because they have more capability. You have more potential on a fight stick.
I know this comment is old but people still stumble on this video. However, You know what you are hitting. On Pad you are un certain of the motion that you are doing. For example in SF the shoryuken shortcut command is Down right x2. On pad it might register as hitting down twice instead of a diagonal motion. Arcade stick give you that certainty.
Just ordered a simple $75 fight stick from amazon. It's my first time ever buying one and I hope it really does improve my gaming in fighting games. Cause I'm not very good when it comes to the controller

But do not give up, once you get a feel for the stick and have it down to the point your confidant you will get better you were with the controller. Idek why people think that a player using a controller is bad and a fight stick player is good, and vice versa. The truth of the matter is most ppl that have a fight stick practice more, that's why they are better. It's cliché I know but the only way you will improve is thru practice. Prepare yourself to get your butt handed to you...A LOT, but in those loses take something with you. You will get better. Always warmup before ranked play and know your combos. It's even more important to know the character openings and punishes. Good luck fam
Also do note when you purchase your fight stick the button layout doesn't matter so much as the can be easily changed in any GOOD fighting game worth its salt. (I have a SoulCalibur 5 stick with the B and LT switched around and can switch around whenever I play Street Fighter or UMVC 3 in the pause menus.)
I was so confused by this until I realized that your camera turns everything into a mirror image... I thought you had your stick on the right side of the platform lol

You can't map up, down, left and right on console. To do that you have to open up the stick and switch the joystick around.If there is enough cable to do that.
Your video when I clicked on it it started for 2 seconds then it sent me to the asian guys vids. Hes higher on the algorithm It was very strange. As if google is saying hey why watch his video when you can watch one of our higher algorithm ad supported ones. Some new stupid thing Google's doing now I suppose

TOASTboy27 It's not modded. It's just the video is mirrored. Look at the PS3 and Xbox controllers. They have their buttons in the wrong place.
