I did this drill for like 2 hours straight after getting rolled by Feng over and over again, today I put the knowledge to use and 2-0'd a solid player 🤗 you're a beast, please keep up the good work
extra tip on playing vs feng, on the offensive side, trying to use more kicks/shouders/elbows (due to his many sabakis setups), airborn moves are stronger because of his many abusable lows and CH options like b1, backing of when you are slightly plus on hit due to his kempo stance being super slipery. You cant just play standard offensive vs him either, hope those tips help everyone
I always knew that but the movement itself is quite fast so everytime I block it I'm always like "oh, it's punishable!!!", and then he does a jab cuz it's taking me eternity to punish him 😂😂😂 I'll improve with time...
These reaction drills are perfect. Movelists are so large and it’s tough/time consuming finding the common ones. Replays are good for that too ofc, but this consolidates them in a quick format
important notes is to side step left his back three when u feel he's trying to pressure you , and his froward 1+2 power crush heat engager is used too often by fengs in the neutral i side step it to the right along the while standing 3 both to the right shoulder as well , most of his moves after back 3 are steppable to the left , even his back 1 turn stealer he will be afraid of throwing it out , i like to force the feng player to use back 4 so he can track me stepping that's when you start jabbing him more often and when the mind game versus him
Really appreciate these videos as they've been helping me get out of blue, do you have any plans on making Drill guides against Hworang? This character has been robbing me on the daily.
Something Reina (and Jin) specific in the string b2,3,4; if you miss the low parry, and you know feng likes to finish the string , reina can parry the last hit and get HW 2 (launcher if youre in heat)
@@MishimaComplex youre welcome, i have been messing quite a bit with her parry in the last few weeks There is quite a bit of safe moves that reina can use the parry for nasty punishes, if you ever find a zafina (rare , i know), parrying any of her moves which uses azazel hand gives you time to cancel HW into a WGF
It's amazing how the frames of certain moves are hidden by their animations. That's why Nina seems like a wall. And why Dragonov makes you wanna press into him. 😢
prob should add db3. and the problem with WS 1 is that the buffer window is huge, even triggering after he finished the animation for WS. df3, 2, 1+2 is combo filler
U can make it even harder by incorporating a ss before each options ^^ I'm surprised at how similar my drill is to this one :D compared to my dragunov one to yours ^^
On a training drill with many moves it's already difficult, but with mental stack it's even more, specially online. Most people will react to the sidestep, but ss1+2 is a plus on block mid mixup option here if the Feng player doesn't wanna risk df3. When I fight Feng I have more success trying to get a read for when they'll ss4 (and other stuff like db3) than to try to react
B3 is a broken move. If he loops it twice sidestep left. If he does df1 after b3, sidestep left. Db3,d2,b4, are homing, you can't step it after b3. Is a constant 50/50 and can kill you slowly with that broken move.
Neither db3, d2 nor b4 are homing at all. Stop crying. db3 is quite literally one of the least tracking moves in the entire game and you're probably crying about it because you're mashing your flowchart away. d2 only tracks slightly and toward the right, and b4 only tracks left, althought it does so quite a lot. Feng has been very heavily nerfed and even JoKa says he might not be top 10. Most of his pressure is completely fake and you can react to a second b3. It is very rarely "looped", as you say, in competitive play. This is another "snake edge is too strong, instant low launcher!" moment we had we people were new to Tekken 7.
@@herpderp4078 his back turn stance is terrible unless specifically accessed from f4B, in which case it only becomes slightly less terrible. Not only can he obviously not defend while in it, but EVERY single option except for the slow snake edge de can be very easily sidestepped left. Every single one. Unless you're a bear, in which case you might be getting clipped by some attacks, SSL duck is a complete option select for his backturn stance (same for Tekken 7, counterplay against him hasn't changed), after which some characters can literally perform a true death combo on him (Steve and King to my knowledge). And if he attempts to access it from 334B or 122B on block, a jab interrupt is completely guaranteed. He can't even powercrush it. The 50/50 throws are real as the animation is exactly the same, but since SSL duck literally beats all of his options, you'll never be getting thrown. I can count on my fingers the number of times I've been hit by a Feng with his back turned to me...
I picked Feng because they cut Lei from the roster, and i just wanted to be Kung Fu Man. Now he's gotten buffs and people are bandwagoning him, and i hate it because ive always hated mirror matches in any fighting game. I really wish they hadnt cut Lei ;_;
i hate feng, Overpowerd, high damage, evasive moves, and all of them seem to share the same brain cell and play the same way. I wish they brought lei as the Chinese character at least his design is cool.

Appreciate adding You Will Know Our Names in the background. Now I'm really feeling it.

Feeling bad for not knowing that shoulder is -19… fujin rank
I always knew that but the movement itself is quite fast so everytime I block it I'm always like "oh, it's punishable!!!", and then he does a jab cuz it's taking me eternity to punish him 😂😂😂 I'll improve with time...
It's ok. I am also fujin but this move is so beach to punish due to very short block stun and pushback. Harada loves his husband
Remember this, all shoulder-like (even anna's ass) moves (fast knockdown moves usually 12 frame startup) are launch punishable
@@edgelord121 not Paul's
the startup and move animation is extremely fast so its hard to react in time

Xenoblade music???? A man of culture I see
These videos are so helpful! I honestly thought the shoulder was safe and I've been letting Feng get away with murder all this time.
Patiently waiting for an Anti-Alisa guide...
im gonna be there day 1
Waking up and watching our man's fresh video is the best way to start the day
love your videos, drills like these are what push me to keep playing this game, plz keep making more :)
A quick note for feng df43 is that while its good to practice ducking, its now hit confirmable for feng which trivializes the mixup for him
came for the Anti Feng drills.
now i want to play Xenoblade again
Very good
feng popular + have reactable mixups
like to see another chars like that

I get a shiver everytime you block punish with ewgf
doing lord's work thank you so much
Jun drill soon hopefully 🙏🏾
Just what I needed
Thank you for the video and +like for the OST choice.

he did anti-hwo guide allready
@@DabudiDabudai-tz7jd yeaaah but just understanding what he does isn't really enough, he's way too obnoxious

you make awesome videos man! thanks
Thank you for all the great content ♥
Great guides

Just as a heads up, I play Feng, and often use db1,2,4 instead of just db1,4.
That's mid, mid, high. So there's a mixup to watch out for.
Ur such a good channel
One of the best tekken related channels. Thank you for your work.
Thank you so much !!

Combo filler, definitely, but you see JoKa using it quite a bit in neutral.
U can make it even harder by incorporating a ss before each options ^^

It took a long time to even realize this was an A.I. voice. 😂 thought it was creator himself.
I been treating that shoulder like it was -13 all this time, don’t know why. Been letting Feng get away with highway robbery
FENGs for watching
Is Ss4 really reactable? I main Feng it would be a bad news if ppl can do that...

Any chance to see the anti Lars video?
I’m losing to so much feng cheese, yet I’m not good enough to counter it 🤣😭
Next should be Zafina, Leroy or Nina, just cause not all of us know the matchups, rare encounters at ranked but still
Please do king next
Can you do a drill for paul???
Yes soon! 👀

Can you make a punishment guide for nina
Nah cuz i knew the shoulder was punishable but ian know it was -19 wtf, i jus assumed it was between -10 and -14, on me every feng launched now

He will be nerfed in 1.05
Man reacting to feng's ss4 feels impossible... is 20f even reactable?
Online it's almost impossible, I feel. But very high level players can react consistently to 20f moves (and even below that).
