Hi! I just started using sketchup and your videos have been extremely helpful. I just have one question from one of your videos from 3 years ago called "How To VIZUALIZE FLOORING OPTIONS in SketchUp", could you please show me how to get rid of the excess flooring? I have tried searching everywhere but I haven't manage to find a solution. Thank you so much for your awesome videos! 🙏

Will the follow me tool make outside corners? I have a trim shape for crown molding that I was able to make an inside corner with, but it refuses to make an outside corner. After I preselect the path, as soon as I select the follow-me tool it deselects the path. I tried the drag method also and I get a red circle with a slash message as soon as I hover over the shape slice.

I don't understand how the size of a curve effects follow me. I tried making using this tool on a small object, like a 1/16 inch radius to make a grove around a 1/2 in diameter cylinder .It did not work. But when I made a .625 in radius to make a grove around a 5" diameter cylinder it worked. Then I scaled it by 1/10th. I have a suspicion that it has to do with number of segments.

Justin! I know this is off topic of the video, but I truly despise the dotted bounding box sketchup displays when you are inside a group or component. IS there ANY way to turn it off? with an extension?

@@Thesketchupessentials I kinda figured. I have a huge project with over a 1000 objects with heavy nesting and those stupid boxes get in the way hard. Thanks for the reply. You are the best

Hi, I learned a lot from your tutorial, thanks! Here I have a question, In general, Sketchup windows present as perspective views which I don't like. How can I change it to isometric views instead?

      Change views under "Camera".

one thing I didn't realise until years later was that you can use follow me with a shape or profile that is in a group or a component. Click on the path, select follow me, then right click on your shape/profile and select edit group/component and then select the face.

No I do not use the free version. I can't believe people want to do 3d rendering in browsers. It makes me scared as a web developer how the web and browsers are evolving. Major transformations are necessary if this is the future they want.
