Amazing Speech. RM was just 24yrs old at the time he gave this speech at the UN. It was then that I got hooked into BTS due to RM Speech, His manly looks that was different from other K-pop idols and his humble and Sincerity.
this was the event that established myself as an army. i was still discovering bts, their discography, personalities and stuff at that time but this speech totally reason for me to fallen deep into the rabbit hole. namjoon is the first person in my life that actually awaken self love inside me. the line '...yesterdays me is still me' made me cried non stop that day. i knew right away they r something n i need to keep em in my life. im grateful for the journey i had since then n ongoing til now with them. also another proof of fandom wisdom that we met bts when we need them the most. 💜

I have the heart symbole from 1 of the love yourself albums tattooed on my right upper arm and under it's says "Speak Yourself" in Namjoons handwriting.... Remember what was happening in the world in 2018, Lots of school shootings, mass killings, hurting kids hurt other kids. RM knowing that if these people could love themselves... they probably wouldn't hurt others the way kids were and still are today. They were just on it early and I have to think it changed many young people's lives after being introduced to BTS.
