Had same situation, pq vs xg and pq was 600 euros more than xg model. Xg was good enough for me. 480 was super sick and new pixel layout is much superior than xg model, but i hated matta so bad that it turned me to xg glossy 😔, if pq was also glossy, i think i would had bitten a bullet and went with pq 480hz, but zero regrets on xg model 240hz 😅
Got the AQDMG it was 500e cheaper as an open box, instead of 1000ish for the AQDP, maybe i got yours lol ;p, i just could not justify 500e more for it, i am not a hardcore FPS gamer i just play some finals and pubg casually some helldivers2 among other single players i also wanted to give glossy a go never had a glossy pc monitor, 240hz seems plenty for me going up from 144hz, i would much prefer to get the new subpixel format tbh but i am keeping my Ultragear IPS for the rest of the daily stuff to avoid getting irritated by the subpar text and avoid risk of oled burn in etc. it just felt for me 1k was way too much for my usage id prefer to get smth else instead for those € or upgrade my 4070ti Super to 5080 next year. i am sure though both monitors are a great visual upgrade hope i dont have to return mine but yeah thanks for the comparison. i am kinda worried now but tomorrow its being delivered ill know soon
@@kasuhmy just got the monitor and i can say i am impressed, i am glad i was wrong worrying about the fine text Fringing Issues which are very had to notice, you have to get your eye into the monitor to see supixels and find the discoloration only on certain backgrounds, color seems great, brightness is also very good there's more testing to come but first impressions are very good. now what pisses me off is i cant setup the multiple monitors as i like, i wanna keep my ips as main monitor but when i do that, the oled wont play games above 144 hz which is the IPS max refresh rate, if i setup OLED as main its fine, but i wanna have the task bar only on IPS which is impossible to do with win 11, it was a feature of 10 but not 11. what fing gives? shouldnt games launched on secondary monitor work at max Refresh rate of that monitor instead of adopting the lower hz from main monitor? anyone figured this out?
@@syiana2194 I don't really feel like making a video for this, but I can assure you that the text clarity is extremely sharp and good, unlike previous models. For me, the text is even better to look at than on my LG IPS monitor.
Fps is not hz ffs. Playing under 480fps will still be big diff between 240hz and 480. I can only imagine how good 480hz looks even when i felt difference between 240hz and 360hz.
nice i was debating between these two, glad i went with the pg279aqdp
It is as close as you put two of the same models next to each other.

@@penzuugi I Understand, good choice. And it is preference.

HF with your aqdmg 💫

Btw what settings do you guys suggest ? Vrr + gsync+ frame cap couple fps bellow max refresh rate or uncapped vrr/gsync off ?
And yes it has a Generally better Motion clarity with VRR Off and Low fps
U did make the right decision to go for the aqdmg. In your Case.
@@purfecto If VRR on, Cap your FPS 5% below your Hz. 480hz, cap 465 240hz cap 233

my friend
So the matte and glossy coating war is a lie?I can’t tell the difference
It's not a lie, for 90% of cases the glossy is better for OLED. No one is using it to build spreadsheets in a bright office
right is better i thought it was the matte one
Is the AQDP text much clear than the AQDMG model? The text fringing is really bad on the old pixel layout 1440p WOLED monitors.
@@4epa1012 yes it is 🙏
@@kasuhmy Oh yes! I will sell my LG 27gs95qe-b monitor then and will by the new ASUS monitor 💪💪💪

No way you can feel that AQDP is faster below 240 FPS. It wins only above 240 just because its a 480 HZ panel. Pixel response speed is the same.
