Hi Kathleen, great video. I’m currently undertaking my master of clinical psychology (MCP) and felt it was worth mentioning that most MCP programs are Commonwealth supported (CSP). The one year master of professional psychology (MPP) equivalent at my university costs about $30k (generalists), whereas my 2 year MCP (endorsement) is only $8k. Would definitely say a huge benefit of MCP is that your HECS debt won’t double in one year!
Hi Hazel, Thanks for sharing this. That's awesome you were able to get a CSP place for an MCP at your uni 😃 I intentionally didn't go into the CSP in this video as from my research and understanding, the CSP varies greatly across uni's and are offered for both MCP and MPP. They can also differ strongly in terms of competition. In hindsight I could of pointed this out, but didn't want to overwhelm the viewer. It's definitely something I'll consider talking about for future content though and appreciate your feedback 😊
Hi @@kathleenanne thanks for your reply ☺️ it is my understanding that CSP is primarily offered for MCP, as I’ve personally never come across a CSP MPP program when I was doing my research (but granted I was only researching the east coast of Aus). I’m not sure that the CSP payment rates vary across unis, but I am aware that they do differ from year to year (as it is contingent on government funding). But I completely agree that all information available is extremely confusing and overwhelming, and content like yours that clearly explains it is much needed 😀
I could be wrong but I'm fairly certain you have to do Honours or Grad Dip before you do Masters in Professional Psychology. That is as of today's date - Feb 2023 (this video was a while ago and they have since scrapped the 4 + 2 pathway). 3 year undergrad and then 4th year (Honours or Grad Dip). Then Masters.
Hey Olivia, In the last couple of years the ANU and University of Melbourne have introduced a 2 year professional masters program, that students can do straight after their 3 year undergrad. The program equates to a 1 year honours + 1 year masters, then students would need to do their 1 year internship - hope this helps in clarifying :)

Hey, I’m so glad this cleared things up! At the moment - to my knowledge - only two unis offer the 2-year professional masters to students who haven’t completed honours (ANU and Uni of Melbourne). All the best with your studies! 😄
Thanks for your video. I think it's important to mention the only two universities that offer the Master of Professional Psychology are located in Melbourne and Canberra. Everyone else outside that region, or those who prefer online study, will not have this option.

Thank you so much for this video, Kathleen! I'm currently completing my 4th year honours with final exams coming up in about a week. I've spent a lot of time trying to decide whether I want to complete the Professional Psychology Masters or the Clinical Psychology Masters. I've applied for both and my heart's always been set on the Professional Psych Masters because I am so eager to get out of the classroom and start working with clients. I love the idea of the bridging courses to become a clinical psych after working for some time in the field. I still can't decide which degree I would rather undertake as I feel like if I don't at least try to go for the clinical masters them I'm letting myself down. I am similar to you in that there's so much I want to experience in my 20s away from uni and my career because there's so many things I want to achieve, for example, travel being a main one. I also think I am one of those people where working in the field will serve me much better in the long run but there's just so many unknowns and I hate the idea of having regrets in the future for not picking one Masters program over the other. Sorry for the really long message but your video was super clear and helped put a lot into perspective.

I can also relate to feeling like you "need" to do the clinical masters. After making this video (and doing a bit more reflecting), one thing I should have made clearer is that the two year professional masters program is still relatively new. Essentially it combines honours and a 1 year masters together as a 2 year masters program. From my understanding, it's likely this pathway will become more mainstream, as universities like ANU have been pushing for it for a long time. However at the moment (from what I can gather) only two uni's are offering this pathway, so this may impact your decision. @@FronkeyExtrawhat uni r u aiming for? Some unis may have pre reqs, you can just look them up online in the uni’s website, same with ATAR. I went to Macquarie and I didn’t do any math subjects (which is a pre requisite for some unis that offer psych). I had an ATAR of 80 as well.
No prerequisites but I’d recommend doing maths in high school/college to help with stats and aim to get a high ATAR (80 is around the cut off for entry). Hope this helps!! 😄
This video blew my mind - i had no idea you could do professional psyc masters without honours!! i am not keen on being a scientist - but a psychologist and im currently in my 2nd year of undergrad and wonder why they are training us to become more research based. Do you know why only some uni's offer the masters without an honours? thanks again for your video!! you've restored faith in me!
Aww I'm so glad it helped!! I'm really passionate about spreading awareness of the 3 year bachelor + 2 year masters pysch pathway, it's a hidden gem! The reason why only 2 unis offer it atm (to my knowledge), is because it's very new (introduced as the 4+2 pathway was phased out). But this is the mainstream pathway that will be pushed and more uni's are expected to follow suit over the next decade. Hope this helps - all the best with your studies :)
Thank you so much Kathleen! This takes a lot of stress off me, I definitely will look at the generalist pathway. Although I'm still struggling through my undergrad 😅. I'm doing a double degree in marketing and psychology (which I both really love doing). Some people have recommended me to drop the marketing but I really feel like it will be useful for me, as a way to better promote mental health in the future. I was wondering if you happen to have an opinion on this? Also any tips for studying better? hahaha
Hey Nohon, I'm so glad it helped! Marketing and psychology go really well together. Depending on what you want to do - if you want to become a psychologist, you'll need to learn how to market yourself, but if you want to get into marketing or working with businesses, having a background in psychology will give you an edge. Sounds like you're enjoying both degrees, so you can't go wrong - both skillsets are valuable :) In terms of the study, what have you been finding tough? A psych degree is competitive and difficult, so there's an element of burnout that can get people down (it definitely got to me). A very late comment, but have you ever looked into ‘applied psychology’ (e.g., masters of applied psychology at university of Melbourne), which focuses a lot on psychology application on a broader level (vs. clinical, which focuses on individuals). Such courses include content such as behaviour change, branding and marketing etc., which seems to be what you’re interested in, and will allow you to integrate both your interest in psych and marketing!

Hi Merlox, so glad to hear the videos have been helpful! I would recommend going with your interests - I know this is vague, but it won't greatly impact uni. If your school offers psych courses, definitely go with this, or possibly science units. In my senior years at high school I studied: English, French, maths, history and psychology 😊

Hey Arem, Thanks for reaching out! To qualify for a masters in psych, you will need a bachelor in science majoring in psych or a bachelor in pscyh + honours. However if your undergrad degree is different, you could look into doing a diploma and advanced diploma in psych, which would qualify you. Hope this helps!

you can apply for an honours year as your 4th year of study :D psych degrees alone usually are 3 years and the honours year is the 4th year of study :3

This was so informative. Im a mature age student (56 yrs) and an Aboriginal Elder in my community in South West Victoria. Ive just enrolled into the Graduate Diploma of Psychology at Monash University as I cant access work in Mental Health in Victoria. My BA in Health Science (Mental Health) CSU is not recognised in Victoria Health despite having worked in counselling and mental health roles for over 15 years in both Hospital settings in WA and NGO's. Im now interested and working in research on Aboriginal mental health. I have been active in research and teaching Aboriginal students at a local university over the last 4 years now and want to pursue these as well, but I also want to provide counseling to my community as we have no Aboriginal psychologist in our area. Im torn now as I want to do all of them!!!. Given my age, Im also time poor so to speak. Any advice????
I loved reading your background! There's a dire need for first nations voices to be heard in the psychology space and I can appreciate the desire to do everything at once, especially given your diverse skillset. The question to come back to is what's pulling you more - research or practice? The best advice I ever received was to prioritise obtaining registration - which sounds a bit like what you're doing, given that you've enrolled in the Grad dip. Not sure if this helps but I'm wishing you all the very best on your journey!

(I got my start on your videos😄) I have my degrees in not psychology, so I think it'll be suitable for me to start from GDP course (then GDP advanced->Masters, I guess?). I am wondering if it's still possible to become a clinical psychologist after the 5+1 pathway. Or the professional masters degree is required?
The 5+1 pathway IS the professional masters degree (MPP) plus a 1 year internship. Heaps of new bridging courses are available for people who do the 5+1 to do a clinical enforcement, but this can only be done once the internship year is completed and they’re general psychologists.

Hey Tara, Thanks so much! My best guess is that it would depend on the uni - they might let you use it as credit towards an elective but I'd say chances would slimmer for the diploma to count towards compulsory psych subjects. Hope this helps - it's a great degree and I wish you all the best :)
Hi, Tara! I know the question was aimed at Kathleen but I thought I would help. I completed a Diploma of Counselling and I had 80 credit points accepted as RPL for a Bachelor of Psychology at Macquarie University. They counted toward flexible units (60 credits) and then 2 of my electives (20 units) together. I mainly study the core units and don't have to pick any electives until 3rd year. I hope this helps!

Just to add to this. I got a Diploma of Mental Health from TAFE in WA and it got me 2 units off from the University of Western Australia but 8 from Edith Cowan University (essentially a year off), so I recommend asking around the unis you're intested in. I have checked some universities and they are all asking for honours first to be accepted into the masters of prof psychology, Which university(ies) did you come across that would accept directly from the undergrad ? However I don't have the best marks, my gpa will be roughly around a C, around 5 maybe even less. Hey Elizabeth, thanks for the comment! I don't know much about Monash's program, so don't feel I can give an opinion about their program. Personally I feel the two year professional masters at ANU and MelbUni is a great initiative for getting through the study and into a career faster, and are both excellent programs. But the standard for psychology in Aus is very high across unis, so I don't think you can go wrong with whatever path you pick :)
Thanks so much for this valuable explanation. It's concerning that the Government has allowed such a jig saw puzzle of courses to develop. I can't really see why they differentiate between Hons and Grad Dips in terms of 4th year and then Masters eligibility. It only creates varying classes of psychs which is then differentiated in terms of payment with Medicare. At a time when there's such a need for registered psychologists, I can't see students opting to undertake a 6 year program. How do we get a link to your newsletter or LinkedIn?

Being not far off finishing my bachelor of psychology, it feels like the field of psych is more about sounding academic than understanding psychology. The degree is full of un necessary information, non relevant assessments even for say people who want to go down the research path. The degrees are insanely expensive, especially for a career that doesn’t isn’t as lucrative of pay as say being a GP. I’m passionate about people so I’m sticking it out, but after 3 years of uni my mind hasn’t changed that it’s mostly a bunch of nonsense.
Thanks for sharing your input, I think you make some excellent points. Hopefully psychology will continue to evolve as a discipline - I honours was way better than my undergrad in terms of content/learning 🤍 best of wishes with your study!

I recommend doing a graduate diploma in psychology (2 years), then an advanced grad dip (1 year) - then you’ll be eligible to apply for a clinical masters. I hope this helps, wishing you all the best! 😊

Hi Kathleen. I have signed up for a grad diploma in psychology as I have an undergraduate in a different field. I was told by APAC if I complete this course and then an honours, I can work in previsional research as an assistant and then work as a psychologist when I complete the masters. There seems to be a lot of conflicting information out there, so any clarity would be really appreciated.
If you’ve done a bachelor in another discipline, then you’ll need to do a grad diploma in psych, then an advanced grad diploma or honours, and then you’ll be able to apply for a masters 😄
Hi there, you would need to do a bachelor majoring in psychology to apply for a two year masters or do a bachelor majoring in psychology + honours in psychology to do a 1 year masters - hope this helps :)

Thanks for reaching out :) I'm pretty sure that under the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement (TTMR) agreement NZ and Aus share, it will be really easy for you to gain registration in Aus. You'll just need to verify your NZ psych registration with APHRA. I would give them a call to discuss your situation and find out what steps to take but I'm pretty confident it will be a straightforward process :) Their international number is +61 3 9285 3010 Hope this helps and wishing you all the best!

Hey Sunny! Great question - this is what I know from word of mouth (so take it with a grain of salt).. To some extent universities may unintentionally favour students who've attended honours or undergrad at that institution. This is because these students have rapport with staff, share the same values, connections in research etc. That being said, it shouldn't overly influence the outcome.. What will stand out most are personality traits, research/grades and work experience. I've known applicants that went to lower ranking institutions, only to be successful in gaining acceptance into higher ranking institutions for a clinical masters. The program is extremely competitive in general, but worth aiming for (apply to a few institutions) if you know it's what you want. Hope this helps :)

It helped a lot🥰 Now I choose down to go to a graduate dip with either UNE or Cairnmillar as UNE offers CSP but I found Cairnmillar offer shorter length(1yr) and even cheaper than UNE. As far as I know, Cairnmillar is not a university, does this ultimately matter when I want to pursue 4th year degree (honours etc)?Thank you so much!

I recommend getting in contact with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), as they're best placed to answer your question - www.ahpra.gov.au/About-Ahpra/Contact-Us.aspx It might also be a good idea to look at what uni's you would like to apply to. You'll probably need to do an honours year before a masters, so check out uni's honour programs and find out the requirements (e.g., do they accept international applicants). Hey Anna, there’s a two year professional masters you could apply for at ANU or University of Melbourne, which doesn’t require honours and will lead you to general registration - but for a masters of clinical psychology you will need to complete honours. Hope this helps :)

Hi Aish, Macquarie uni does a 1 year professional masters program - you would need to have done your honours year though, and it's competitive to apply. I imagine there's other uni's in Sydney with 1 year masters programs - definitely worth looking into! Wishing you all the best :)

Hi Arfaan, to be accepted into a masters of clinical psychology you would need to have a bachelor and honours in psychology or the equivalent (grad dip) as the minimum. I'd recommend giving APHRA a call to discuss. Hope this helps :)

Hi Islam, A lot of people start studying psychology late in life - My mum didn't start her undergrad until she was 38. I'm unclear if you've started studying yet, or if you're based in Australia. It might be helpful to contact the APS or APHRA to see if they can offer any information, as it can really depend on individual circumstances.

You'll also need to prove that you're fluent in English. For some uni's, you can apply directly through their website for master's programs and for others you'll need to apply via UAC www.uac.edu.au/future-applicants/how-to-apply-for-uni I hope this helps! :)

Hi Sai, The two year professional masters program is still very new in Aus and only a couple of universities are offering it. This means that if you're applying internationally, it will likely be more competitive. I would recommend also applying to honours programs. Hope this helps! :)

Hi Kathleen, great video. I’m currently undertaking my master of clinical psychology (MCP) and felt it was worth mentioning that most MCP programs are Commonwealth supported (CSP). The one year master of professional psychology (MPP) equivalent at my university costs about $30k (generalists), whereas my 2 year MCP (endorsement) is only $8k. Would definitely say a huge benefit of MCP is that your HECS debt won’t double in one year!

I intentionally didn't go into the CSP in this video as from my research and understanding, the CSP varies greatly across uni's and are offered for both MCP and MPP. They can also differ strongly in terms of competition. In hindsight I could of pointed this out, but didn't want to overwhelm the viewer. It's definitely something I'll consider talking about for future content though and appreciate your feedback 😊
Hi @@kathleenanne thanks for your reply ☺️ it is my understanding that CSP is primarily offered for MCP, as I’ve personally never come across a CSP MPP program when I was doing my research (but granted I was only researching the east coast of Aus). I’m not sure that the CSP payment rates vary across unis, but I am aware that they do differ from year to year (as it is contingent on government funding). But I completely agree that all information available is extremely confusing and overwhelming, and content like yours that clearly explains it is much needed 😀

I could be wrong but I'm fairly certain you have to do Honours or Grad Dip before you do Masters in Professional Psychology. That is as of today's date - Feb 2023 (this video was a while ago and they have since scrapped the 4 + 2 pathway). 3 year undergrad and then 4th year (Honours or Grad Dip). Then Masters.
Hey Olivia, In the last couple of years the ANU and University of Melbourne have introduced a 2 year professional masters program, that students can do straight after their 3 year undergrad. The program equates to a 1 year honours + 1 year masters, then students would need to do their 1 year internship - hope this helps in clarifying :)

Thanks for your video. I think it's important to mention the only two universities that offer the Master of Professional Psychology are located in Melbourne and Canberra. Everyone else outside that region, or those who prefer online study, will not have this option.
UNE and SCU in armidale and coffs harbour also both offer masters in professional psychology, and i'd imagine others do too

I'm currently completing my 4th year honours with final exams coming up in about a week. I've spent a lot of time trying to decide whether I want to complete the Professional Psychology Masters or the Clinical Psychology Masters. I've applied for both and my heart's always been set on the Professional Psych Masters because I am so eager to get out of the classroom and start working with clients.
I love the idea of the bridging courses to become a clinical psych after working for some time in the field. I still can't decide which degree I would rather undertake as I feel like if I don't at least try to go for the clinical masters them I'm letting myself down.
I am similar to you in that there's so much I want to experience in my 20s away from uni and my career because there's so many things I want to achieve, for example, travel being a main one. I also think I am one of those people where working in the field will serve me much better in the long run but there's just so many unknowns and I hate the idea of having regrets in the future for not picking one Masters program over the other.
Sorry for the really long message but your video was super clear and helped put a lot into perspective.

After making this video (and doing a bit more reflecting), one thing I should have made clearer is that the two year professional masters program is still relatively new. Essentially it combines honours and a 1 year masters together as a 2 year masters program. From my understanding, it's likely this pathway will become more mainstream, as universities like ANU have been pushing for it for a long time. However at the moment (from what I can gather) only two uni's are offering this pathway, so this may impact your decision.

@@FronkeyExtrawhat uni r u aiming for? Some unis may have pre reqs, you can just look them up online in the uni’s website, same with ATAR. I went to Macquarie and I didn’t do any math subjects (which is a pre requisite for some unis that offer psych). I had an ATAR of 80 as well.

This video blew my mind - i had no idea you could do professional psyc masters without honours!! i am not keen on being a scientist - but a psychologist and im currently in my 2nd year of undergrad and wonder why they are training us to become more research based. Aww I'm so glad it helped!! I'm really passionate about spreading awareness of the 3 year bachelor + 2 year masters pysch pathway, it's a hidden gem! The reason why only 2 unis offer it atm (to my knowledge), is because it's very new (introduced as the 4+2 pathway was phased out). But this is the mainstream pathway that will be pushed and more uni's are expected to follow suit over the next decade. Hope this helps - all the best with your studies :)

I'm doing a double degree in marketing and psychology (which I both really love doing). Some people have recommended me to drop the marketing but I really feel like it will be useful for me, as a way to better promote mental health in the future. Marketing and psychology go really well together. Depending on what you want to do - if you want to become a psychologist, you'll need to learn how to market yourself, but if you want to get into marketing or working with businesses, having a background in psychology will give you an edge. Sounds like you're enjoying both degrees, so you can't go wrong - both skillsets are valuable :)
In terms of the study, what have you been finding tough? A psych degree is competitive and difficult, so there's an element of burnout that can get people down (it definitely got to me). A very late comment, but have you ever looked into ‘applied psychology’ (e.g., masters of applied psychology at university of Melbourne), which focuses a lot on psychology application on a broader level (vs. clinical, which focuses on individuals). Such courses include content such as behaviour change, branding and marketing etc., which seems to be what you’re interested in, and will allow you to integrate both your interest in psych and marketing!

Hey Arem, Thanks for reaching out! To qualify for a masters in psych, you will need a bachelor in science majoring in psych or a bachelor in pscyh + honours. However if your undergrad degree is different, you could look into doing a diploma and advanced diploma in psych, which would qualify you. Hope this helps!

you can apply for an honours year as your 4th year of study :D psych degrees alone usually are 3 years and the honours year is the 4th year of study :3

This was so informative. Im a mature age student (56 yrs) and an Aboriginal Elder in my community in South West Victoria. Ive just enrolled into the Graduate Diploma of Psychology at Monash University as I cant access work in Mental Health in Victoria. My BA in Health Science (Mental Health) CSU is not recognised in Victoria Health despite having worked in counselling and mental health roles for over 15 years in both Hospital settings in WA and NGO's. Im now interested and working in research on Aboriginal mental health. I have been active in research and teaching Aboriginal students at a local university over the last 4 years now and want to pursue these as well, but I also want to provide counseling to my community as we have no Aboriginal psychologist in our area. Im torn now as I want to do all of them!!!. Given my age, Im also time poor so to speak. Any advice????
I loved reading your background! There's a dire need for first nations voices to be heard in the psychology space and I can appreciate the desire to do everything at once, especially given your diverse skillset. The question to come back to is what's pulling you more - research or practice? The best advice I ever received was to prioritise obtaining registration - which sounds a bit like what you're doing, given that you've enrolled in the Grad dip. Not sure if this helps but I'm wishing you all the very best on your journey!

The 5+1 pathway IS the professional masters degree (MPP) plus a 1 year internship. Heaps of new bridging courses are available for people who do the 5+1 to do a clinical enforcement, but this can only be done once the internship year is completed and they’re general psychologists.

Hi, Tara! I know the question was aimed at Kathleen but I thought I would help. I completed a Diploma of Counselling and I had 80 credit points accepted as RPL for a Bachelor of Psychology at Macquarie University. They counted toward flexible units (60 credits) and then 2 of my electives (20 units) together. I mainly study the core units and don't have to pick any electives until 3rd year. I hope this helps!

Just to add to this. I got a Diploma of Mental Health from TAFE in WA and it got me 2 units off from the University of Western Australia but 8 from Edith Cowan University (essentially a year off), so I recommend asking around the unis you're intested in. Hope it helps!

As I highlight in the video, there are only two universities in Australia currently offering a professional masters w/o honours, which are the Australian National University and the University of Melbourne - the caveat is that their professional masters program go for two years instead of one!

I don't know much about Monash's program, so don't feel I can give an opinion about their program. Personally I feel the two year professional masters at ANU and MelbUni is a great initiative for getting through the study and into a career faster, and are both excellent programs. But the standard for psychology in Aus is very high across unis, so I don't think you can go wrong with whatever path you pick :)
Thanks so much for this valuable explanation. It's concerning that the Government has allowed such a jig saw puzzle of courses to develop. I can't really see why they differentiate between Hons and Grad Dips in terms of 4th year and then Masters eligibility. It only creates varying classes of psychs which is then differentiated in terms of payment with Medicare. At a time when there's such a need for registered psychologists, I can't see students opting to undertake a 6 year program.

Does a PhD in clinical psychology make me eligible to practice as a clinical psychologist in Australia?
Being not far off finishing my bachelor of psychology, it feels like the field of psych is more about sounding academic than understanding psychology. The degree is full of un necessary information, non relevant assessments even for say people who want to go down the research path. The degrees are insanely expensive, especially for a career that doesn’t isn’t as lucrative of pay as say being a GP. I’m passionate about people so I’m sticking it out, but after 3 years of uni my mind hasn’t changed that it’s mostly a bunch of nonsense.
Thanks for sharing your input, I think you make some excellent points. Hopefully psychology will continue to evolve as a discipline - I honours was way better than my undergrad in terms of content/learning 🤍 best of wishes with your study!

Hi Kathleen. I have signed up for a grad diploma in psychology as I have an undergraduate in a different field. I was told by APAC if I complete this course and then an honours, I can work in previsional research as an assistant and then work as a psychologist when I complete the masters. There seems to be a lot of conflicting information out there, so any clarity would be really appreciated.
If you’ve done a bachelor in another discipline, then you’ll need to do a grad diploma in psych, then an advanced grad diploma or honours, and then you’ll be able to apply for a masters 😄

Thanks for reaching out :) I'm pretty sure that under the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement (TTMR) agreement NZ and Aus share, it will be really easy for you to gain registration in Aus. You'll just need to verify your NZ psych registration with APHRA. I would give them a call to discuss your situation and find out what steps to take but I'm pretty confident it will be a straightforward process :) Their international number is +61 3 9285 3010

Hey Sunny! Great question - this is what I know from word of mouth (so take it with a grain of salt).. To some extent universities may unintentionally favour students who've attended honours or undergrad at that institution. This is because these students have rapport with staff, share the same values, connections in research etc. That being said, it shouldn't overly influence the outcome.. What will stand out most are personality traits, research/grades and work experience. I've known applicants that went to lower ranking institutions, only to be successful in gaining acceptance into higher ranking institutions for a clinical masters. The program is extremely competitive in general, but worth aiming for (apply to a few institutions) if you know it's what you want. Hope this helps :)

It might also be a good idea to look at what uni's you would like to apply to. You'll probably need to do an honours year before a masters, so check out uni's honour programs and find out the requirements (e.g., do they accept international applicants). Hi Islam, A lot of people start studying psychology late in life - My mum didn't start her undergrad until she was 38. I'm unclear if you've started studying yet, or if you're based in Australia. It might be helpful to contact the APS or APHRA to see if they can offer any information, as it can really depend on individual circumstances.

If you're applying from overseas, it might be a good idea to get in touch with APHRA to confirm your qualification's are recognised. You'll also need to prove that you're fluent in English.
For some uni's, you can apply directly through their website for master's programs and for others you'll need to apply via UAC www.uac.edu.au/future-applicants/how-to-apply-for-uni

Hi Sai, The two year professional masters program is still very new in Aus and only a couple of universities are offering it. This means that if you're applying internationally, it will likely be more competitive. I would recommend also applying to honours programs. Hope this helps! :)
